Just heard the repeat of Pick of the pops early hours on BBC Radio 2 ..first broadcast on Saturday 21st October with Steve Wright and posse hosting and I didn't think he'd be ad good as Dale Winton.& Paul Gambaccini but Steve you smashed it and will continue too listen. Just wish radio 📻 2 would repeat at 3am ... too early. Later in the morning please if anyone from that station is listening 🎶.
Professor of Pop for God’s sake , he’s 74 . Why do these people have to go on and on ? They never seem to want to move over and let someone else suck at the BBC money teat . I’m not being ageist , I’m 77 myself but there is a time you need to let go .
I agree totally. I remember thinking DLT and all those others who were part of the Radio 1 clique all went on well past their sell by date, with their tiresome goofball humour.
Radio 2 wasn't ever for kids. Kids don't listen to the radio they want steaming and iTunes not the radio what World are some people in obviously not ours
I think radio 2 has tried misguided to appeal to a younger and younger listener. They didn’t need to radio 1 is for the kids the radio 2 listeners would have stayed loyal if they didn’t start with the cull of voices that people no and enjoyed listening to.
@@borderstrains7985 Maybe you should have looked at the date when the person posted the dry humour comment.. it was four months ago when Steve was alive.. I honestly don't think you've any cause to be offended.
Steve and Paul absolute legends of radio
Such a wonderful caring, polite loving man ❤ We Miss You Steve xxx
R.I.P. Steve, you were a great DJ. 😢
Not sure if anyone in the world knows more about rock and pop music than Paul.
