i dont know how you're out here writing songs about feelings i can't even begin to describe. listening to this is like taking a shower after being buried alive
You really allow me to see the earnest beauty in acoustic guitar in a way I haven't before. You clearly understand harmonies and design these brilliant chords and such articulate melodies and they're beautiful. I'd say never stop but I know there's no way an artist like you could so I'll just say thanks for sharing it. You're a true talent.
Bro I cant lie, I found you from the Bobs and Vegana video. That shit was so catchy i find myself singing it in the shower sometimes. lol. But I still watch all your shit. Your voice is very unique and you have some serious talent. Keep it up, dude.
I accidentaly deleted my comment in an attempt to edit it :(. I just wanted to let you know that I've been a fan for a little while now and you have quickly become one of my favorite musicians. Everything you put out is just incredible. This song remains one of my all-time favorites. And I am so glad that your music is making its way to spotify, as thats the streaming service I use. If there is an album I can buy, or maybe a patreon I can support please let me know!
hate to join the "been here since bobs" crowd, but when i subscribed you had just uploaded that video and i'm proud i stuck by it. your talent just seems to keep growing, or maybe it's just showing through now that you're writing and performing your own music more often ;)
I was thinking about hearing to your stuff (for the millionth time already) and as soon as I entered YT your face showed up and that made me so happy :D I thought it wasn't possible anymore, but you're getting better and better somehow, both musically and physically
Ach! Great! Just discovered your channel tonight. Watched three or four covers, and then this is the first original one. Your voice on the John Denver tune reminded me of Colin Meloy from the Decemberists, and this tune reminds me of some stuff off of the Visiter album by The Dodos. You got skill and really good taste as an artist. And a new subscriber!
@@CoryLottSucks I can relate to that one. It's like OCD when you write your own song and miss a note. You just want to keep starting from the beginning until you get it right. Keep it up!!! You're good as always. I personally like your originals more than your covers.
This is really sick my dude, started getting in to your Nulberry stuff and it's started to grow on me. Got any suggestions like this that I could check out?
SimplyDeano Honestly I don’t really know any bands that play a similar style to this. (i’m sure they exist, I just haven’t found them yet.) That being said, a guitar player who gave me a lot of inspiration is Tiger Merritt of the band Morning Teleportation.
Tommy Ashworth I don’t really play daily, but when I pick up a guitar like 1-3 times per week it’s really easy for me to end up spending like 5-8 hours playing. Also I wouldn’t really say I “practice” in the traditional sense. I don’t do scales or learn the fretboard or work on technique or anything like that. What I’ll do is write music. All the time. And when I write I always try to do something I haven’t done before and oftentimes that something is something I’m not actually capable of playing so learning how to play the pieces I write sort of serves as a medium for my own practice and improvement without having to deal with how un-fun practicing can be
I'm assuming it's to mute the strings behind the nut. You see that kind of thing a lot in metal where you have high gain and staccato notes, but since acoustics resonate a lot those strings ringing can be a problem with this music too.
Yeah, when you play a lot of open chord shapes you get this annoying high pitch ringing sound from the overtones resonating. Live it sounds fine but in a recording it becomes very annoying and that little cloth will mute it.
Ubiquitous? Apogee? Cory. Stop. Don't I love you enough? Now you make yourself even more appealing to me by speaking to my word-nerdiness? I can't with this guy...
I like the song and the vid. Buts whats the idea behind the title. I mean, i definitely think that experience is ubiquitous. Can you explain to me why you think its not?
ann eurism Yeah, everyone feels everything differently. Just because I find a sensation pleasant doesn’t mean everyone else will experience that same sensation in that same way. The whole idea for this tune came from the fact that I desire certain things out of a relationship and in turn I would provide the things I desire to the other person rather than provide them with the things they actually want/need
Never seen beauty and technicality blended so seamlessly. You are an underrated guitar legend my friend. No exaggeration. Beautiful
that fingerstyle/tapping riff w/ the harmonics afterwards!
#E
Marcus Gosling Try to provide people with a guitar tuning and your video gets a dumb hashtag lol
To this day, this is still one of my favorite songs
Ya know those songs that make you feel grateful just for having found them?
Yeah, that’s the spot this hits.
Love it.

This is too beautiful, wow
God that was amazing. I love the tunes Cory !!
WOW
Still lookin good my dude, your guitar skills are also still next level as I see.. Wow
HOLY SHIT....THATS AWESOME
You are an inspiration
Trying out this tuning right now and it's really cool, seems like a lot of chord shapes I already know work and are just different chords now
Sean Griffey Yeah this tuning has some really wild sounds from just playing stuff you already know. Like a Bm chord shape has such a nice sound
that last face like GOD IM SO GOOD
Francisco Vazquez Avila It was more of a “wow I can’t believe I messed up the last few notes of the song.”

What's your tuning for this? Also, I really enjoy all of your talent and emotion, plus you're just a fantastic guy. So thank you for the great music
how do you choose which tunings you’ll use, and are compatible to chord progressions?
Ricardo Hernandez No idea lol. I just kind of noodle around a new tuning until I get feel for how I want to play in it
How long do you practice for daily?
Tommy Ashworth I don’t really play daily, but when I pick up a guitar like 1-3 times per week it’s really easy for me to end up spending like 5-8 hours playing.

Nulberry Official Phenomenal. Where are you located? And do you do live shows? You play tremendously.
Make tutorials plzzz
Fucking great
I'm so sorry to ask, but what does the piece of cloth on your guitar do?
I'm assuming it's to mute the strings behind the nut. You see that kind of thing a lot in metal where you have high gain and staccato notes, but since acoustics resonate a lot those strings ringing can be a problem with this music too.
