I find it very interesting that many parts of the song, especially after 3:34, use some major chord progressions despite the song being written in a minor key. It shows Eren's will to keep moving forward even through the atrocities he has committed. The fact that this song captures that aspect of the show makes this song a true masterpiece. Chills.

If paradis survives as long as his friends are alive its fine, he doesn't care about what will happen to the island after his friends have grown old and died. He only cares about his friends. On top of that his main goal is not to protect paradis but to free ymir, end the titan curse and also to flatten the entire world to finally see the world that he envisioned in his mind after reading armin's book and achieve what he perceives as freedom.

Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano, the best 2 producers in the anime industry to make these amazing songs. Both 86 and SnK are just amazing with these OST playing in the background.
Although Khota is getting good he's still got a long line of people between him and Sawano. Notable mentions like Yuki Hayashi,Yuki Kajiura,Asami Tachibana[falling off quick though],Shiro Saigasu,Yasuharu Takanashi etc. Khota is still in a phase of discovering his sound while adapting what he learnt from Sawano even now. If you listen to any of the albums he has worked on besides the couple of bangers, Majority of his music is pretty meh and forgettable. I'm not hating but I'm just saying he still has ways to go before he catches up to the rest of the squad

The more I listen to Kohta Yamamoto, the more I see that he's using much more synth and effect to create such ambience and literally put a bang instead of using melodious flowing notes. While Hiroyuki Sawano uses more melodious strings and brings the mood completely. To put it simply, Kohta Yamamoto is Fire (for the effects and explosive brass and choir) and Hiroyuki Sawano is Water (for the soothing, flowing melody, strings, and lyrical). Both of them have their own significant style and both of them are one of the most epic composers in anime ost. Incomparable, they're great as they are. Attack on Titan surely is being handled by these mad composers x"D

no one understands the impact of this scoring like i do omg😫 3:36 onwards is that grandiose orchestral swell, which PERFECTLY encapsulates that feeling of impending doom and hopelessness, but also the AMAZEMENT of what’s happening. the mix of emotions in this is perfect. the way that 4:10 purposefully sounds like a ticking stopwatch, perfectly represents the feeling of a sort of “final countdown”, how in just SECONDS the world is ending and changing, along with the chorus in the background really giving this piece that intense sense of urgency. this couldn’t be a more perfect score for The Rumbling. you get so many emotions throughout this one score; fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and marvel and amazement. that feeling of seeing eren’s founding titan, that “holy shit…” of both amazement and fear. phenomenal. AoT is just amazing in every single way.
I didn’t think this anime’s ost could get any better and then this episode dropped.. absolutely jaw dropping I can’t believe someone put these notes on paper and proceeded to make people play it on instruments. Can’t forget the vocals as well, fucking amazing.

I swear, the music in AoT never sounded like anime music. Their OSTs sound like something off of a movie or dark fantasy video game, like Bloodborne or Dark Souls. Everything about this score is beautifully terrifying.
AOT’s score is up there with John William’s best work. Straight up. I own seasons 1 & 2 on vinyl.. can’t wait to get season 3 & 4 whenever they get a pressing.
It's true Yamamoto doing exactly what you want !!! More respect for Yamamoto, he is not an apprentice. He is a young composer who had the chance to collaborate with Sawano and now he has made a place for himself to bring something other than Sawano. There is no need to say it is better or to compare for me. Precisely I think that Sawano now wants him not to be in his shadow anymore and that is to his credit. Although I will always love that Sawano is involved in an ost but you should never denigrate it before listening.

Everyone knows AOT's ost is magnificent but this music combined with that scene is the crowning jewel of AOT. This music perfectly captures the feeling of helplessly watching Armageddon unfold before your eyes.
The Rod Reiss Titan score is perfect for that scene and Titan, it’s one huge abnormal Titan we’d never seen before and it was biggest Titan seen up till then. While I understand people who said it was also the perfect Rumbling theme, this theme has another level of foreboding. The deep chanting when Eren is granted the Founding Titan’s power, as he transforms, makes it fundamentally clear this is should give you goosebumps. It should make your eyes widen. It should make you go ‘Oh shit!’ It perfectly suits the hatred that Eren has displayed, and the terror of knowing full well what he intends to do to the world with the power of the Rumbling.
Rod Reiss theme was suitable because it's almost same situation. The ost just showed how a giant Titan is coming towards you and about to kill everyone. The same here for rumbling also. It's shown how terrifying rumbling is like millions of Titans coming towards you to kill you
Every episode in S4P2 has been atleast 9/10 with the latest two being absolute 10/10 bangers like holy shit, mad props to everyone involved in making and producing Attack on Titan, you all are letting us witness history being made.

It shows Eren's will to keep moving forward even through the atrocities he has committed. The fact that this song captures that aspect of the show makes this song a true masterpiece. Chills.

They are the masterpieces of the legendary Japanese colossal series musicians, it's a big loss if the famous company doesn't choose them
To be fair, Yuki Hayashi is better than Kohta Yamamoto and is the second best producer only behind Hiroyuki Sawano.
Although Khota is getting good he's still got a long line of people between him and Sawano.
Notable mentions like Yuki Hayashi,Yuki Kajiura,Asami Tachibana[falling off quick though],Shiro Saigasu,Yasuharu Takanashi etc.
Khota is still in a phase of discovering his sound while adapting what he learnt from Sawano even now.
If you listen to any of the albums he has worked on besides the couple of bangers, Majority of his music is pretty meh and forgettable. I'm not hating but I'm just saying he still has ways to go before he catches up to the rest of the squad

The music name and the vibe is so fitting for rumbling.
The more I listen to Kohta Yamamoto, the more I see that he's using much more synth and effect to create such ambience and literally put a bang instead of using melodious flowing notes. While Hiroyuki Sawano uses more melodious strings and brings the mood completely. To put it simply, Kohta Yamamoto is Fire (for the effects and explosive brass and choir) and Hiroyuki Sawano is Water (for the soothing, flowing melody, strings, and lyrical). Both of them have their own significant style and both of them are one of the most epic composers in anime ost. Incomparable, they're great as they are. Attack on Titan surely is being handled by these mad composers x"D

3:36 onwards is that grandiose orchestral swell, which PERFECTLY encapsulates that feeling of impending doom and hopelessness, but also the AMAZEMENT of what’s happening. the mix of emotions in this is perfect.
the way that 4:10 purposefully sounds like a ticking stopwatch, perfectly represents the feeling of a sort of “final countdown”, how in just SECONDS the world is ending and changing, along with the chorus in the background really giving this piece that intense sense of urgency.
this couldn’t be a more perfect score for The Rumbling. you get so many emotions throughout this one score; fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and marvel and amazement. that feeling of seeing eren’s founding titan, that “holy shit…” of both amazement and fear. phenomenal. AoT is just amazing in every single way.
I didn’t think this anime’s ost could get any better and then this episode dropped.. absolutely jaw dropping I can’t believe someone put these notes on paper and proceeded to make people play it on instruments. Can’t forget the vocals as well, fucking amazing.

This is exactly the kind of OST I imagined for the Rumbling. KOHTA YAMAMOTO goated.
It's true Yamamoto doing exactly what you want !!! More respect for Yamamoto, he is not an apprentice. He is a young composer who had the chance to collaborate with Sawano and now he has made a place for himself to bring something other than Sawano. There is no need to say it is better or to compare for me. Precisely I think that Sawano now wants him not to be in his shadow anymore and that is to his credit. Although I will always love that Sawano is involved in an ost but you should never denigrate it before listening.
Sawano trained him well. The two of them are absolutely amazing composers.
1) We got the full version of the new opening song!
2) We're seeing the origin of the Titans and the start of the Rumbling in animated form!
3) We even get the release of this gloriously haunting composition!

The AoT scene that was so important they uploaded the ost 1 hour after the episode aired instead of 4 months.
4:10 this part along with eren's face is pure viciousness.
Everyone knows AOT's ost is magnificent but this music combined with that scene is the crowning jewel of AOT. This music perfectly captures the feeling of helplessly watching Armageddon unfold before your eyes.
The Rod Reiss Titan score is perfect for that scene and Titan, it’s one huge abnormal Titan we’d never seen before and it was biggest Titan seen up till then. While I understand people who said it was also the perfect Rumbling theme, this theme has another level of foreboding. The deep chanting when Eren is granted the Founding Titan’s power, as he transforms, makes it fundamentally clear this is should give you goosebumps. It should make your eyes widen. It should make you go ‘Oh shit!’ It perfectly suits the hatred that Eren has displayed, and the terror of knowing full well what he intends to do to the world with the power of the Rumbling.

Rod Reiss theme was suitable because it's almost same situation. The ost just showed how a giant Titan is coming towards you and about to kill everyone. The same here for rumbling also. It's shown how terrifying rumbling is like millions of Titans coming towards you to kill you
I still can't believe that they made this masterpiece for just 1 scene.... I really hope they also use this in part 3
