Loved this tutorial. I have recreated the missing File and uploaded it to makerworld under the title "Bat Hinge Fidget with Hinge Files" as stl, step and f3d in the folder named hinge. Hope this helps everyone making their own!
I'm having difficulties attempting to use the hinge. I can't seem to download it or import it into Fusion. I am very interested to learn how you created that hinge. Is that something you would be willing to show us?
The magic/genius is in the hinge but there was no explanation of how it was made, or what bodies it contains or why it works. There doesn't seem to be a way to even download it from the link. A video about the hinge first would have been wonderful but this was not useful.
Hey there, do you mind if I ask you a simple question. I'm just new to 3d modelling. I would like to know how I can move a face of a 3d body parallel to the surface of the plane. Eg. If I have a cylinder and I want to move one of the circular faces sideways so that I have a slanted cylinder (similar to leaning Tower of Pisa)
If you are using fusion 360: -draw sketch with a circle on the plane you want then stop sketch. -click offset plane icon and offset the plane you use, if it is XY click it on the drop menu, choose the height. - click draw a sketch icon and use the offset plane and draw another circle with amount of slant you want and stop sketch. -Join the two circles profiles with Loft icon by selecting them after you clicked the icon. version two: select face, click M , move the face
Short to Ground do I use the free move tool? Dragging the arrow thing around does not move the face, it stays still. It's like it's locked in place or constrained or something?
Short to Ground yeah I know thanks. The problem is that I already created the lofted shape (it wasn't a cylinder, actually something more complex) and now I just want to sit one face to the side more because it wasn't enough

Hi great video! is there a way to make the hinges smaller in size? as to not have that big of a space in between body parts?

Stl
Thank you so much for the tutorial and the hinge!!!
great, thanks! the hinge model work only on object extruded 5mm?

better option , is option one, make two plane profiles and loft

can't you edit the loft?
