When I see Beckham I just think he is braver than me and I am really proud of him. I hope he recovers from everything as quick and as painless as possible ❤️
It’s heartbreaking to see him go through this, but as you talked about, it could help him in a lot of aspects of his life! He is so brave. I struggle with chronic illness, and have to get my port accessed once a week for my daily medications and treatments, I never look forward to it, as it’s painful. But seeing Beckham’s strength, is a good reminder to me, that we can all do hard things, even if we don’t love them. Thank you for that reminder today. I needed it. 💕

You are both so loving and supportive to Beckham. When you said “ I’m going to cry”, I already had tears flowing. I don’t know how you both do this. I am so sorry you're going through this. I have a child that had needle anxiety & he would scream, kick, call names at tech people every time we got blood drawn for his chronic illness. I would hold him & his father would help. We had one person that could draw his blood, & only bc he was previously in army & did under helicopters. No one else could handle him. That cream! Ugh. We tried everything. It still brings tears to my eyes. We had therapy with a counselor connected to his specific illness. Eventually he has gotten better & learned techniques to use. He had his flu shot recently & I did not have to hold his hand. First time in 8 years. It is so excruciating to see your child in pain. The good news is that as they get older you can find a therapist specializing in their specific health issues & anxieties. It helped tremendously. If you read this, know that you inspired me today to keep going & deal with my own life. Prayers for all of you!

I didn’t even realize it was an option to not have sedation. Hi guys hope your son is ok after his injections. He’s such a strong little boy I work with children at the hospital, as a support assistant to the nurses children are so strong. They are truly amazing love your channel 💕
Why are they not giving him a sedative, my daughter has cerebral palsy and has gotten Botox and they either put her out or they gave her a sedative (versed). You guys do such an awesome job with them both!
People think little kids forget quick enough it doesn't matter but it does. They wouldn't do that to an adult. They shouldn't have done that him without pain control. There's nothing wrong with his mind. He knows when he's hurting.
Unfortunately they do not! I assume it is because he only gets six shots. Maybe if he got more, it would be an option? I saw this comment a lot so I am going to ask them about this option! Our doctor is phenomenal and told us that his shots feel exactly as any other shot / vaccine would. He also calmed down really quickly (within a couple of minutes) so we are hopeful that is accurate but OF COURSE if there is an option to have him slightly sedated to minimize pain, I want to look into it! Thank you so much Linda!

I watch another family called my life in Holland, their son has CP. He’s had some surgeries because they can go in and make little cuts and it loosens up the muscles in the legs. You might want to look them up and talk to them Landon is doing so well through all of his physical therapy.

I pray 4 Beckham & yall everyday 🙏 I know mine is no where close 2 what him are yall go through. But I have MS (multiple sclerosis ) & I'm 51 & been walking with a walker since 2004. I walk like I'm drunk (& I don't even drink) But Beckham is my Hero. Just know he is 1 Lucky Boy 2 have yall as his parents. I thank God I have a wonderful husband who is there 4 me. HUGS 🙏 🤗💙 GOOD JOB BECKHAM 👏 🙏💙😘
Paula, thank you for sharing your experience with MS! Of course that's comparable and relatable to Beck and I'm so grateful you follow his story. Sending you so much love! You're amazing!
The strength in you as parents, and this beautiful boy is beyond measure. I lost my first born due to malpractice and I had a difficult time being a NICU momma of a healthy child for my second son and just today had his circumcision done because he had to be a certain weight. I now feel no sympathy for myself (and less for my baby) with what you go through and the strength it takes on both parts. I wish you the best! Absolutely beautiful family ❤️ When was the little price officially diagnosed?
Ask for the numbing patches to put on earlier in the day of the appointment. They seem to numb more. You may can even get them over the counter. Praying for you guys!!! Y'all are awesome parents.
Thank you Rachel! Our doctor said the numbing patches typically don't do much and taking the bandaids off hurt Beckham so badly, so we opted out of those per her suggestion!
U are a good mom and dad if helps him become independent u will be so happy lm in my 60$ and still walk to day. And had no surgery at all in my life. My parrents are not A live today and grateful that my parents made me independent I have 3 sisters and a brother that are younger then me. I take care of myself I’m not a burden to them. Keep up the good work.
My daughter has had quite a bit done and she's 28. You might just ask. They did on her when she was little like that. Praying for your family and Beckham😇🤗💝🙏 I pray it goes well and my daughter has had her hips done too.
I know this can be hard in the moment, but sharing these situations are exactly the awareness that people need to help understand the depth of what people with chronic illness and disabilities go through. 💕💕💕
So sorry you guys have to do this. I am a pediatric OR nurse, and a lot of times we do these under anesthesia if there are a lot of them…sometimes they do Botox or steroid injections. With anesthesia there are more risks of course though, so a hard call either way!
Yes, my friend's son had his under anaesthesia. It wasn't a full anaesthetic, just what they call a twilight anaesthetic. Also, they had a band for him which he wore around his hip area when standing to help hold his hips in place.
My daughter at Blakely's age was also a sympathetic crier, it was so funny and cute. And poor Beckham, he's a rockstar. I hope over time, you see more improvements from the botox.
Do they not do light sedation for this? Not incubate him or anything but make him sleepy so he doesn't remember? Maybe he isn't a candidate and you've already discussed this but I was just curious. He is such a brave little man 💕💕
Unfortunately they do not! I assume it is because he only gets six shots. Maybe if he got more, it would be an option? I saw this comment a lot so I am going to ask them about this option! Thank you so much Samantha!
I love your channel; your sweet baby boy did well in his Botox injections. Because I think I got mine when I was 13 years old, and I literally cried throughout the entire process. But now I have gotten used to pain, and it still hurts once in a while. Another thing I want to mention is why your sweet little boy cried for the second leg because patients with CP might have less sensitivity to other parts of the body. I'm just talking from my experience because it happens to me a lot
I am a C6 incompetent quadriplegic. I have been getting Botox every three months for the past eight years. I get injections in my calfs, thighs, hip, hand and neck. If the doctor said they feel like any other injection that is a lie, that said they aren’t horrible. What you feel largely depends on how tense you are. The more relaxed you are the less you feel. The needle yes feels like any other jab where it differs is the pressure from the medication going into the muscle, this is allot of volume and the pressure can be intense if that muscle has allot of tone and spasms in it. The plus that pressure is gone as quick as it came. I think sedation is overkill. For me I take my muscle relaxer about 30 minutes prior along with a Benadryl and a Tylenol. This relaxes my muscle enough that they aren’t fighting and tensed up. Then there’s a second part of this that no one thinks about. The recovery, for me the worst part! I feel like I’ve been punched in the injected muscles every-time I move for the first three days post op and my muscle spasms tend to be in overdrive not wanting to relax. During this time I don’t want to be touched or do much of anything. I take my muscle relaxers and Tylenol regularly to help. I will say that for me it’s definitely worth it. Thanks to the Botox I am pain and spasm free for 10 weeks and able to ride my bike, drive and function independently without the need for any muscle relaxer or regular medication.
I am sending prayers and wishes that the shots work for him what a little trooper he is 🥰😇❤and I must say little miss Blakely had me laughing so hard as she was dancing in the stroller on walk in she's so funny 😄
Aww Beckham did amazing I seen him smiling in the back of the car at the beginning bless his little heart he is so brave such a gorgeous little man and Rachel I fill you when it comes to doctors appointment and having to see your baby go throw somethink so horrible but you know it will help them it's so hard to watch I fill your pain I cryed myself watching him go throw that but it is going to help him that's the main thing god bless you all Beckham and Blakely got great amazing loving parents that's all they need ❤️❤️🤗🤗😘😘
I am in a wheelchair and I have to have the injections in my hips for my sacroilitis... mine are steroids, not botox, but they are SO deep, it really can be SO painful ! But my Dr. puts a little lidocaine with it, I guess she draws it in the needle last or something, so it enters me first, but I never feel the pain of the actual steroids being injected ; sometimes if I am especially tender and sore before hand, she numbs the injection site with lidocaine first, so I don;t even feel the big needle ! Another thing you might do is ask for the "twilight sleep" anesthesia like they gave me for my colonoscopy and installing my pacemaker. It was so light I actually felt the pressure type pain (like at the dentist, when you are numbed up) from the Dr. pushing and tugging my muscles around to seat the pacemaker and I remember hearing myself saying "nuhhhhhh" a few times, like "Ow", but I was so out of it I couldn't focus enough on what was happening to comment on it LOL. Same with the colonoscopy, I could hear the Dr. giving instructions, but I had rather sleep, so I did, very lightly, and it was over ! They used to give it to women in labor in the 1970s , because it was safe and wouldn't cause the baby to be born sedated. Last but not least, why can't they at least give that baby some nitrous oxide - laughing gas- in a mask? Anything so he doesn't have to feel that horrible pain so profoundly , bless his little heart !
Oh how this brings back so many memories for me. Casey had 3 rounds not sure the pain is worth the botox. The botox will only last about 6 weeks. It was horrifying to see. Haven't gotten to video after his shots with a bigger needle going straight into her hamstrings without any numing meds. Nvr again. Please read...The Cerebral Child. It will be very helpful for you going forward.as to what to expect. Yes all children are different. Fit my daughter to a T...surgeries and all...with an exception of about 2 things.
I had Botox as a kid for intractable migraine. Back then I was NOT approved for this and being a kid the idea of three dozen shots on my face, scalp, and neck without any sort of approval for that was scary! Then I ended up having 9 brain surgeries starting at age 22 following a separate disease being diagnosed in 2008. I am now 35 and have Ben sick since preschool. I will have brain surgeries for the rest of my life and live with brain tumor symptoms daily. All this to say, when you grow up sick or disabled it is very different than having that happen later in life! I have lived both, with a genetic disease/condition and one that came on later, and it is sooooo much easier to go through it if you start young! Sounds terrible to think of going through stuff as a kid but frankly if you know nothing else you kinda just get over it. Lucky for Beckham this is just normal life for him and not something he will have to face suddenly dealing with later in life. It isn’t as hard as it sounds to be disabled all your life, much easier in my experience and opinion than having it happen later.
Man I just found the video of him being born and I got to tell you we have a mighty GOD and for your legs not to be broken y'all had angels all around you when you wrecked .
Sweet little Beckham I'm praying that the botox injections work even better than last set. Rachel and Hunter you are such good parents for both Beckham and Bailey. Love watching your videos. God bless you and family real good!!❤🤗😘🙏
Sweet baby. Can they not sedate him a bit? I'm a mom of a nonverbal autistic son, that had bone cancer and a total leg amputation, and a gtube. I do understand that sedation has risks also, I'm just genuinely curious. Its not fair that our kids have to go thru so much :(
Oh Rebecca, my heart breaks for you that you've been through so much with your sweet son. I am so, so sorry. Unfortunately that is not an option at this stage / point!
Your job as parents are to to the best for Beckham . Beckham will thrive in school with therapists . He will get speech therapy also . He looks normal which is a plus . He’s not hanging his head . It really worries me that he is not in in 8 hour care everyday

Poor darling. I’m an adult and have Botox in 8 sites, deep tissue into my mouth, up into the jaw, lower inside mouth, temples, sub occipital. It hurts a lot because your Botox cannot be preceded by any topical anaesthetic because it will render the Botox useless. I can assure you whilst the Botox hurts deep tissue, the pain does subside after a week for me but others much quicker. We are all different. I’m so sorry your baby has to go through this but the benefits should become more apparent. You are all doing so well. Blessings on your journey.

Awe yes! They really are best little friends!
Yes I agree
I watch another family called my life in Holland, their son has CP. He’s had some surgeries because they can go in and make little cuts and it loosens up the muscles in the legs. You might want to look them up and talk to them Landon is doing so well through all of his physical therapy.
That might be an option, but the pain and recovery is longer
That's what they said for me. They recommended Botox but couldnt guarantee anything. I kind of want to give it a chance. Beckham is so tough.
I feel for you all. That sweet little boy. I can't even understand how hard this has to be for you. You are all very brave and I love your family. ❤
Such a strong big boy I truly hurt when I see Beckham crying it tugs my heart because I am a mother because my son is his age and just that fact that his such a strong handsome little boy and has gone through so much at his young age his doing so good and had the best support system behind him mommy & daddy and sis your guys are just the best and all your fam am sure is a huge support love you Rachael I hurt seeing you get chocked up but it’s for his best Interest and I know you guys do anything for him may god keep blessing you all 😘
Im not getting told when a video of yours goes up but i have the notification on. Just so u guys know why im always late. But u guys always do what u think is best for him. Parenting is rough at times. I know this is worse but i had to hold my little one to get 6 rough covid tests since sept wen she started kindergarden cause she keeps getting sick and boy do they not take it easy on children. She hates it and even that makes me cry let alone having to do what you guys do so you r rockstar parents
Awe shoot! Turn on that little bell for post notifications and you will be notified every time we upload! We are so grateful to have you here! XO
I am so sorry about your sweet little one who is getting sick so often! I hope she is doing ok! No matter what the severity I know we all wish we could take any and all pain from our babies!
Bless his heart glad it helps him I know it has to be hard on both of you seeing your child go through that. God Bless
You are so brave guys! I cannot imagine how hard it is for you, but you're still doing everything to help your baby. He is so cute! Literally, he is the most Beautiful child I've ever seen!
Thank you for this 💙 Although it's hard for Hunter and I, I can't imagine how hard it must be for Beckham. I wish I could do it for him!
@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ I am a mum of 1 year old - I feel you! I don't even know to Describe it - i saw you for the first time few months ago, then i hear your story. I wish I could help you somehow! All i can say - you are the best parents and little sister I could imagine for Beckham. He is lucky to have you and you are lucky to have him.
Awe, he was a brave little soldier for sure! And Blakely was crying for him, as she loves her brother so much! Modern medicine is just incredable
Much respect Goes out to Hunter and Rachel for Wednesday appointment. My mom sis and I sending prayers your way.
Your little boy is truly awesome; he helps me daily. When I encounter stares, my thought is head up, Brave Like Beckham. Thank you for sharing that beautiful child with us!!!!
Much love from Indiana!!!!!
OH MY HEART !!!! Beckham was such a big little man! Hunter you are Dad of the year!!!! Everything you do for your family.
Love your little family!!!! Hugs to all!
We love you! Thank you so much for all of the support. It never goes unnoticed!
It’s hard for all of us what Beckham and your family is going through I am a mother of one child who is healthy and 20 but I know this situation you are going through could happen to any of us mums that drive when pregnant as I did myself ,your family is very precious so much love ❤️ to you from Australia 🇦🇺
Prayers for Beckham, he is darling! 💙 You guys are such a sweet family!
Thank you Katie! You are so sweet!
Absolutely beautiful family ❤️
When was the little price officially diagnosed?
Ask for the numbing patches to put on earlier in the day of the appointment. They seem to numb more. You may can even get them over the counter. Praying for you guys!!! Y'all are awesome parents.
Thank you Rachel! Our doctor said the numbing patches typically don't do much and taking the bandaids off hurt Beckham so badly, so we opted out of those per her suggestion!
These appointments are brutal. Grateful for them though❤️
You are such a WONDERFUL father!!
Perfectly said ❤️
You guys are such great parents. 💖💙
I am absolutely loving your videos lately & having hunter in them cracks me up! You guys are amazing !!
Awe this means so much! I am so glad you are loving the content and that you enjoy Hunter being more involved! You're the best!
So heartbreaking to see Beckham going through all of this
You are both awesome parents!! I love watching your channel! Hoping for great progress for Beckham. ❤
You guys are amazing and Beckham is the bravest, strongest little boy 💙 Love y'all ❤
Thank you Arlene! This is so sweet to say and I can't disagree. Beck is amazing! Sending love!
@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ 💗🤗💗
U are a good mom and dad if helps him become independent u will be so happy lm in my 60$ and still walk to day. And had no surgery at all in my life. My parrents are not A live today and grateful that my parents made me independent I have 3 sisters and a brother that are younger then me. I take care of myself I’m not a burden to them. Keep up the good work.
My daughter has had quite a bit done and she's 28. You might just ask. They did on her when she was little like that. Praying for your family and Beckham😇🤗💝🙏 I pray it goes well and my daughter has had her hips done too.
So heartbreaking to see him going through all this😞
Sorry I can't watch. I love y'all .I'm out
I know this can be hard in the moment, but sharing these situations are exactly the awareness that people need to help understand the depth of what people with chronic illness and disabilities go through. 💕💕💕
Thank you so much! My goal will always be to raise awareness and help others feel less alone ❤️
Haha she is so sweet! Yes, I totally agree 💗
What a brave little soldier. Well done, Beckham! 💗🌵
Poor little thing!! He’s in my prayers!
I could watch you guys any day any time!❤️😁
I am a C6 incompetent quadriplegic.
Haha I was dying when she started doing that! I'm so glad we caught it on camera lol. He is doing incredible and the botox is helping SO MUCH!
Poor guy so painful. He probably takes it better then some adults would. Wish there was an easier way for him. Hang in there bubby.
He really does. My little hero!
Bless his heart ❤
Aww Beckham did amazing I seen him smiling in the back of the car at the beginning bless his little heart he is so brave such a gorgeous little man and Rachel I fill you when it comes to doctors appointment and having to see your baby go throw somethink so horrible but you know it will help them it's so hard to watch I fill your pain I cryed myself watching him go throw that but it is going to help him that's the main thing god bless you all Beckham and Blakely got great amazing loving parents that's all they need ❤️❤️🤗🤗😘😘
You are so sweet! Thank you for your love and support!
He such a brave little cutie, take care & stay safe, love Karen from Australia 🇦🇺
You zwo are such great parents your kids are lucky they have you both
Um yes I have a question how hared is it to deal with it and Beckham love to y’all
Blakely and the whipped cream!!😂😂😂 I'm glad your little guy is doing so well!
He is doing great! Haha yes, we love it!
They don't put him under for them?. I know someone who got them here in Ontario Canada and she was put under each time. Poor little guy
I am adult with C.P and I walk with a walker. The Botox is a difficult shot but I definitely get around a lot easier.
I am so happy you've had a positive experience with it! That is AMAZING! You're a rockstar with that walker!
Andrea, welcome! We are so happy you're here 💗 Thank you for following his journey!
What kind of stroller is that?
You guys are great parents.
Thank you Gail. That means so much to us!
poor baby good luck love you all
Thank you ❤️🩹
Blakley in the stroller was the most adorable thing I have ever seen😘🥺🙃
Awe I LOVE that clip!
Your job as parents are to to the best for Beckham . Beckham will thrive in school with therapists . He will get speech therapy also . He looks normal which is a plus . He’s not hanging his head . It really worries me that he is not in in 8 hour care everyday
love you guys stay strong you and Beckham!!! you'll get through this long journey have a wonderful day😘
Thank you angel!
Such an brave little Beckham god bless him you both are great parents!!🙏😍
Thank you so much Paulette!
I have CP too and the Botox hurt really bad going into the muscles my muscles are always really tight
I am so sorry Shannon! I hope getting the injections overtime start to help!
@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ thank you they stopped mine I have CP through out my Whole body Iam supposed to were my leg braces but got made fun of a lot when I was a kid Iam slowly starting to were them again now that Iam 30 your little boy seems to be super strong like Superman I send him lots of hugs from Michigan and It always helped me to have one of my stuff animals with me as well to my appointments they diagnosed me when I was 6 or 5 idk
It's sad that they can't give Beckham a light anaesthetic for the injections. A friend's son had injections, and his were done under anaesthetic.
He did so amazing sitting up on the scale
Poor darling. I’m an adult and have Botox in 8 sites, deep tissue into my mouth, up into the jaw, lower inside mouth, temples, sub occipital. It hurts a lot because your Botox cannot be preceded by any topical anaesthetic because it will render the Botox useless. I can assure you whilst the Botox hurts deep tissue, the pain does subside after a week for me but others much quicker. We are all different. I’m so sorry your baby has to go through this but the benefits should become more apparent. You are all doing so well. Blessings on your journey.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience Debra! I am so happy to hear it is worth it and feel our little guy thinks the same ❤️
@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ my Botox lasts at least 11 weeks and the relief it provides keeps me going. I have no side effects and I’ve been having it for some years. There is hope.
Sending positive vibes ✨
Thank you Autumn!
God bless you mom and dad and your beautiful babies ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you Kristina!
I get Botox for my migraines and I will say it takes awhile for you to see a difference In the situation. I think it took 3 rounds for me and it’s 12 weeks In between each set of injections. I’m praying that it will works so well and you’ll start to see a difference! 💗💗🙏🏼🙏🏼💗💗
Wow, that is amazing and so wonderful to know!
Blakely 5:05 dancing was so cute. Get it girl. Go blakely!!!
I hope it helps you feel less alone in going through this when you talk about it to us ❤️ you are all SO strong.
It really, really does. You guys are the best support system and I'm so grateful. 💗
Bless his heart!
They wanted to give me Botox and my mom would not do them due to the pain. I get them in my esophagus and bladder to help with spasms and swallowing.
Can you please tell me where you got this procedure done. I'm trying to have it done for my Grandson who has cp. Please help!
Oh the sweet angel. Hes so cute. Just watching him even without sound made me cry. If i had to be there id have been a freaking mess. But u guys got this. Carrying a child for 9 months then watchimg them go through anything is rough. Gosh even having my 15 year old tell me she was ready for tampons i cried. Lmao

How often does Beckham have to get the Botox?
He gets injections every three months!
How was the “recovery” after the shots? My daughter goes for her first injections tomorrow. She’s getting them in her legs as well.
Does it have lidocaine in the injection to help numb his little legs?
