Shankly took us out of the old 2nd Division and made the fans feel we were special. Paisley was there with Shanks, then took it on another level. A very shrewd man, my favourite quote from him was; ‘At Liverpool we play to our strengths - that’s why I don’t do many interviews!”. He was also there when Kenny needed him, in his favourite spot, the background. He was the best of those 3, though he would not thank anyone for saying so. As for Klopp, what can you say? He his such a great motivator. Shankly said you need enthusiasm, and without that you’re nothing - and Klopp has it in Spades. He has made Liverpool special again, and Liverpool fans cannot thank him enough for that. The rest of the football world will heave a sigh of relief as he leaves us, but, who knows who our next great manager will be, and what they may achieve. Juergen had left a superb young platform that someone will be very fortunate to inherit - let’s hope they do it justice :)
Also they should not compare Bob and Bill, who worked together (boot room etc), To vote for one against the other is to downgrade one of them, this should not happen.
All of our 4 managers have specialis talent, managment and characters..so do benitez and others..are very highest acheivment at their era.🤠
You can't count the community shield teams used to share it if it was a draw.I love Klopp but Paisley was our best ever manager.
❤ ALL 4 MANAGERS ....❤
Has to be Bob Paisley the amount of trophies in his short reign
I get you completely. This is the issue though with comparing managers on trophy haul alone. I think paisley inherited a better squad. And if he was able to win 20 trophies over a period of time similar to klopp, one might argue he probably had weaker opposition, given his win rate was lower
They had something special but If based on time in place and number of trophies won it would be Sir Bob every time though Klopp had to compete against 115 Mancs
Bob Paisley. If you add up the silverware.
Dalglish would’ve won at least 2 European cups if not were banned from Europe. They played some friendlies versus National teams and beaten them in late 80’s. France 2-0. England 2-1.
For me it’s Bob Paisley, 18 trophies in 9 years, better record than whiskey nose .
Bob Paisley. RIP
Will never be forgotten!
You judge a manager by the number of trophies that arrive during their tenure. No one beats Bob Paisley in that respect. And this comparison does not assess the length of time that they were manager and the aggregate amount of trophies within that time span.
Bill Shankly without a doubt is Liverpool's finest manager of all time as he set everything up for the rest to follow. Before Bill it was Everton, Everton and more Everton in the city of Liverpool.
Got to be shankly. He started the revolution
Conditions are changing over time. 4 great managers, why diminish 3 and call 1 the greatest?
True
Uncle Bob for me, such an unassuming guy and literally told players to play how they play because that's why the club bought them.
But all 4 are close to my heart for different reasons, also had a lot of respect for Houllier and Rafa.
Impossible to say....shanks built it ...Paisley continued it with his own style ...Kenny went through hardships no manager ever did with Hillsborough...klopp awesome
You should have included Joe Fagan.
Sir Bob Paisley! No doubt!
Sir Bob, as he should have been
Legendary!
Each of these coaches is great with his own unique techniques. Time variables make it difficult to compare the greatness. In the past 50-60 years football has changed dramatically. Faster, more physical, more technical ie dribbling skills, more speed, more matches (domestic + non-domestic + international levels), more endurance. It's way more difficult now to manage the schedules, the rotation than ever before. To look at just the numbers and to compare is not enough. There are many other intangibles that aren't accounting for, let alone the competition within the team.
Klopp because the premier league is more competitive now.
Where is Rafa Benitez? He won the Champions League with Liverpool, though he didn't have the longevity of the others. I've watched Liverpool play under all managers. The most exciting teanm is the one that Klopp built.
Rafa got lucky in 2 finals and only had Liverpool compete in 1 title race. Overrated manager. Not worthy of being compared to these 4 greats.
I can't answer that question but I do know there's no other club on the planet that could boast the amount of legendary managers we've had over the years. Add benitez and houllier into that mix no club can compete.
The problem is that you can't compare it like that. Football has changed drastically, and compared to 1983 or 1995, football has become much more dynamic, and the competition in the league is significantly higher today than it was back then. Internationally, there were not as many strong teams as there are today. Therefore, one would need to create a complexity matrix to compare the difficulty levels of the league back then with today. However, that would be quite complicated.
I know how important Shankly and Paisley were and I know other Liverpool fans will tear me In half for this opinion but I think it's Klopp. The reason why is these 2 didn't face the same level of opposition Klopp has faced. They never faced very likely the greatest English team of all time. Getting 97 points and not winning the league is unprecedented. In many seasons Liverpool had the lowest spending of the big 6, even lower than Tottenham. The fact that Klopp with his budget faced Pep Guardiola who many consider the greatest manager of all time with 115 charges yet still won the league breaking every record, for me Klopp is the GOAT
Absolute legend
There is truth in your analysis…that foul on Salah in the CL final. All 4 were the best.Different eras.
Your wrong thats a fact and not opinion. Klopp is amazing but not even close to Paisley
You do realise you spend 130m more a year on wages then arsenal
Please show me Arsenal's bonuses. Show me Arsenal's established world class players. Of course, a team, with some world class players will have higher wages when those players prove it with trophies. Next@@theepicdevil7892
In my opinion there are 2 managers who picked Liverpool up and placed them at the very top. Bill Shankly who I regard as the creator of the Liverpool dynasty and brought the fans on board. Jurgen because he rebuilt the team and gave them, and the fans, belief. Jurgen was up against the colossus of the financially doped Manchester City team and apart from one wretched injury plagued season has consistently led the team to the very pinnacle.
Would Bob Paisley and Sir Kenny have created the success that Shanks and Jurgen brought from scratch?I genuinely don’t know but they certainly both fabulous managers though and in Kenny and absolute star on the field.
Liverpool always was highly financed throughout their success
Come down off ur high horse
It’s easy to say city are financially doped
Makes a great excuse as city dominating the trophy room that Liverpool aren’t .
Klopp has spend millions on players and even more nett spend than pep last 2 seasons and pep does not need the supporters to rattle the opposition namely the constant booing thru out the games to motivate his players and win games
Ps Bob paisley was better manager of the 3
But then again he was able to buy the top players 🤣
@@tommysheehy5198 Liverpool have been prudently financed throughout their success. They tended to look down the lower leagues when recruiting, not scanning the headlines for the highest priced players, regardless of whether they would fit into an existing squad.
Ask me at the end of the season if he wins 3 more trophies. Given he had to rebuild this squad much like Shanks starting out he has to be a front runner. Although, hard to look past Paisley but he was given a foundation to work from he built the legacy to the status where the expectation went to a stratospheric level. Having qualified this Klopps win % is tremendous.
🤣🤣

Bill Shankly was perhaps the most iconic LFC manager of all, but his 1st 4 seasons in charge of 'The Reds' were actually in the second division, (2nd tier level) - unlike the other 3, who only managed Liverpool in the first tier of English football.
Absolute legend!
This is part of what makes him great. He took a 2nd tier team to the top of English football and made them a European threat. Imagine a Championship team winning the PL and FA in 5 or 6 years' time and then going on to win a European trophy. Also, his greatness can't only be measured with trophies. He laid the foundation for Paisley's success and culture. He fundamentally changed the club on all levels. Essentially, he made Liverpool what we are today...a global institution. My grandfather became a fan of Shankly's Liverpool. As a child, I remember him talking with great admiration for Shankly and his team. My father and uncle enjoyed the Paisley years as fans as a result, and now I have been a fan since 5 years old enduring the dark Man U era. And I am from South Africa. This is a small example of the far reaching impact of Bill Shankly.
Yes, I know all that, and I agree with it. I wasn't disparaging 'Shanks' but rather pointing out a fact which I thought was relevant to this particular video.
Interestingly, under Shankly LFC missed out on promotion a few times before eventually getting into Division 1, but had that been at this time, (given the modern pressures and expectations at such a big club), he would probably have been sacked after a couple of years.
However, fortunately Shankly was the right man at the right time for LFC, and the rest as they say is history.

Definitely Bob.
Brilliant manager & Legend for sure.
Has to be Shankly. Brought us up from the 2nd division and put in place just about everything that makes LFC the club it is today.
Everybody was an iconic coach in his time.
JK is the Manager who's to fight against a very strong team like Manchester City.
Perhaps the most powerful team of the whole planet at the moment.
Paisley created a culture. Klopp took the culture to a whole new level. These 2 are immerse.
Bob Is on class of his own
They are all Liverpool legends. Did there jobs in different leagues. Like comparing Ali to modern day. Fangio to Schumacher etc etc etc
Juergen is the man.
But no beating Paisley. And shankly set the foundations
They are all good has each other. LIVERPOOL FOREVER Y.N.W.A
Great managers indeed!
Paisley is the greatest LFC manager of all time Shanks is 2nd as he established the club culture that managers and players still follow today. Klopp 3rd, but could easily have been up there with Bob if the Manc’s hadn’t cheated their way to success.
When UA-cam presenters start talking about "the best" of ALL TIME (on any topic), I switch off! "ALL TIME" does not mean the period within your own personal scope of experience.
Who made Liverpool being red? Yes, Bill Shankly.
Paisley.
What a legend!
So easy, Bob Paisley. Took Liverpool to another level home & abroad
paisley is the best
Absolute legend!
Jurgen considering the time he has done it and what he has been up against
Legendary manager
All if them are legends, but i place more wright on klopp
Shankly and Klopp .... they build team from zero to hero
Paisley without any doubt
Where are Rafael Benitez and Joe Fagan?
You left off Joe Fagin
Fagan.. you forgot about the guy who won 3 champion leagues...
He won 1 mate
Bob
Legendary manager!
has to be Shankly he started it all
Without Moneyster City, things would have been a lot different. When you lose twice the tittle for 1 point...
Ok. Why make comparison's, Every Liverpool supporter has an opinion on who is their "Favourite". Personally i support them all. YNWA.
klopp
Bob Paisley
Personally don’t care they all have god status to us fans
The greatest manager isn’t necessarily the most successful. Shanks is the greatest, he started it all
Legendary manager indeed.
Its Klopp !!! Now premier league far more competitive & demanding.+ against team with super rich sugar daddy...klopp winning rate are the highest & he's done that after 33 year club wuthout a league title...
Flopp's trash and a fraud.
Wheres Fagan???
A legend as well with the historic treble!
Pep better than all of them😂😂😂😂😂
Pls do Maradona vs Messi😢😢
Already did.. Find it in the channel.
For me its 80's Kenny that takes the win.
Too me it's not the amount that they won for my team it's the amount they gave and you can't put a number on that. YNWA 😁
Joe Fagan? Everyone forgets oul Joe.. European cup, League championship, and the league cup..
