In rusty places like Canada, the rust ridge on the inboard part of the rotor hat likes to pull the shoes to the point where the retaining pins and washers rip apart. Even with the adjuster backed all the way in. So always buy new ones before pulling rear rotors off a 4Runner/LX/FJ/Prado if you're in a rusty area.

Showed the adjuster, had to watch elsewhere to show how to adjust.

Thanks Anthony for the video. My hand brake is sticking and pulling out to full throw. What is the name of the product you got from Bunnings that you sprayed on the left hand side? Thanks. John

    I have a 2008, 120 Prado, 6 speed manual.
I'd like to grease my shifter linkages. Does that need to be done from the inside of the cabin, or from underneath ?

Which way is tighter? Move the gear up or down?

Do prados have shoe brakes? My 90 has discs all around.

Yes, the Prado's (90 series, 120 series and 150 series) all have rear disc brakes, and the handbrake has shoes that run on the inside of the disc rotor hub as a drum setup
