      Yes, there are other aluminum alloys that will bend fine, but 6061 is not one of them, but if you need to bend it, this trick works great!

    I use flares extended with rubber mat, that way if scraping a tree offroad nothing breaks

    • @FabbinAdventures

      That would probably work great, i like to build stuff, and ive rubbed these on trees already with no problems.

      Thanks, i think they look great, and they are solid and work awesome.
      I think it would take too long to make them with my equipment, id have to charge too much. Tbey would be hard for me to mass produce and have them fit every sammy out there.

      @@FabbinAdventures Thanks for the reply. I understand and agree. To have a production that make you some money and a price that the customer "can handle" is the difficult trick. Why don't we all have CNC pipe benders and water jet cutter in our garages?? ;) :D Have a nice day!

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      They would be too costly with my current equipment to reproduce. I am though tooling up the shop to make projects like these easier, faster and repeatable.
      Maybe some time in the future they will be available for sale.

    Your way takes way to long , oxy/acetylene, is way faster and you dont need to let cool
    Use a sooty flame and cover then heat to remove soot , and put in the bender

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  3 роки тому

      Well yeah, but not everybody has oxy/ act, ive been fabricating for alot of years now and only had the need for one a few times.

    I'm not that confident in my welding skills. You should sell sets. Just leave the inner wheel well panel intact and the buyer can trim to fit.

      I have had a ton of people ask me to make these fender flares available to buy.
