Something about the aesthetic and the minifigures really gives me a mid-late 2000's lego vibe, like something i'd have seen in my treasured 2007 lego catalogue. I like it!
Yess, with how big the newer lego city/speed champions cars have gotten (almost 10 studs sometimes), it’s really refreshing to see the old size of the cars
to be fair during the RACERS theme they did do Formula 1 based sets of Ferrari so your nostalgia is understandable 👍 Maybe think of it as a spirtual successor of sorts.
This set feels like a throwback to the lego racers theme of the 2000s. The wheels of that car also reminds me of the shield from the bionicle skrall glatorian lol.
That tire accessibility feature is spot on! Wow! Well done, Lego designer. And well done Lego bean counter, for making this set $30. And finally, well done, Jang, for this great review and feature tour of this set. It's on my buy list for sure. Kinda like how my older 6-wide Speed Champ F1 cars will be able to be displayed on this set too. :)
Yup. And with the start/finish set you could turn your Lego city into a Lego "Monaco". Should have some stands and railings and use the food trucks to sell visitors of the race food. You can make it interesting if you got the space.
I miss watching WRC from when I lived in Ireland but it's entirely unheard of in the US. F1 is decently popular. I think the US is Lego's largest market so it being unpopular in the US isn't a good sign.
Hi Jang, great review, thank you! As for the realism factor: You'd need 16 minifigs on the pitcrew alone plus some built up jacks rear and back. That would be too much to be asked for $30,-. I think 5 minifigs in a $30,- dollar set nowadays (and even back when) is a treat. The wheel play feature is great and though you'd need tires on both sides of the car to get a chance on that 1,95sec time, the locking and accessability are great for kids to get going on playing a pitstop. Get the minifigs to the tireracks, unload and preposition the wheels prior to the driver entering pitlane, then fulltilt off and on, and away!! Love it!
This is such a great set. It gives me mid-2000s Lego vibes, which is nice. I might actually pick it up later this year. Glad to see an actual PLAY set these days, and one that looks great at that.
Thank you, Jang! This looks like a nice enough set for $30. I'm going to go back to your other channel to see which other F1 sets that you're planning on reviewing. I also think the go-cart racers will be popular, FWIW...
Thanks for the review Jang. This set could be easily reconfigured to resemble inside the pit garage. Would love to see a colab with Shell again and do the trackside lab at Marenello.
Excellent review as always, that's why you've been my favourite reviewer for years. Can you please highlight the new pieces by themselves? I know it takes more effort but it's always fun to think about how I can use them in MOC's.
I really wish we got an extra set of the printed wheel caps bc they work perfectly for TRON disks. Would have definitely picked up this set if they were there!
Looks like this is designed to be symmetrical, so you can reverse the direction to simulate a pit stop from a track with the garage on the left as well if you want. Just move the lollipop sign with the stop arrow to the opposite side!
Thanks for the review, you are right, this is a very nice set, with a lot of playvalue. I will definitley add this one to my collection. For 30 Euros the value is very good.
That is a nice looking little set. I'm looking at it as how it wouldn't take much to modify it to work with the space theme base I have planned. Small rovers can come through to get maintenance and unload samples in a similar way. I'm guessing no, but are the cool Tron wheel hubs also on the spare wheels? I need to get some of these F1 sets just for those wheel hubs.
This was my first city set in years and probably spent a solid half an hour rolling the car in and out of the pit box. If I can get that much enjoyment out of a Lego set at 19 then a 6 year old will for hours at a time easily.
I’m getting this set when on sale. I’m a sucker for F1 LEGO sets and this reminds me a lot of the F1 pit stop from 2004 with the pit lane road baseplate
This is such a genuinely beautiful set! Not my personal interest however I can absolutely appreciate the design of this set, and I know it will be incredible fun for kids especially any interested in f1
Great little set. As an F1 fan I love what they’ve done with the sets. But I think I’m going to limit myself to the SC and CMF cars plus the Icons FW14B. Do you think there’s still more to come from this theme ? Eg Art or Friends ?
At first glance that action feature seemed weird and unneccessary, after all it's not like cars are locked in place in an actual pitstop. But with those figures there, it suddenly makes total sense as a play feature. Would have been even better if it would also lift the car up a bit. But nevertheless a pretty good set for the intended audience.
Will probably get this one if I can get it under 30 in Europe. Seems like good value for that amount. Not sure if I should save up for one of the speed champions formula cars though.
5:30 Lego is really getting a lot of mileage out of that "archer" face. Not that I'm complaining, it's a good one. But that alternate face is usually not very useful unless you're actually using it on an archer
I remember an arctic minifigure from a few years ago that came with a camera so she would be closing one eye to look into the camera lense whilst taking photos; that was a really brilliant use of that face.
Lego and f1 are my two of my top passions and are also sickeningly commercial… so to not compound bad will that I don’t want to have.. I think I’ll just stick with the truck. There’s something materially unsatisfying about the car I don’t like.. and the pit crew minifigs should have all been Ferrari with more sponsors etc to be authentic. Actually that would have done it.
No. Please stop with this self-centered "WE" nonsense. You are not my only viewer, and you do not represent all viewers. As is the case on most established channels, *most* of my viewers are *NOT* even subscribers. Reviews that skew significantly positive without the reminder frequently receive comments about how I'm supposedly a "LEGO shill" or "sellout," or "of course you like this when you got it for free." This happens continually because a many viewers assume ALL LEGO reviews on UA-cam are sponsored because almost all that get recommended by the system or get any decent viewership ARE sponsored. So again, you are not everyone, and you do not represent everyone. If a single hash tag in a title or an occasional (exactly) 5-word statement of fact uttered in videos is insufferable to you, it's just not my issue to address.
I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. It’s at a completely different scale than the current 8 stud wide Speed Champions and I think it fits the set nicely. This idea at a SC scale would cost an absurd amount of money.
Something about the aesthetic and the minifigures really gives me a mid-late 2000's lego vibe, like something i'd have seen in my treasured 2007 lego catalogue. I like it!
I thought this was a throwback review on first glance that box art too
Yess, with how big the newer lego city/speed champions cars have gotten (almost 10 studs sometimes), it’s really refreshing to see the old size of the cars
They did a very similar set in 2004 but with a baseplate and they did a much larger one in 2007. Good times.
to be fair during the RACERS theme they did do Formula 1 based sets of Ferrari so your nostalgia is understandable 👍
Maybe think of it as a spirtual successor of sorts.
I was thinking the same exact thing.
This set feels like a throwback to the lego racers theme of the 2000s. The wheels of that car also reminds me of the shield from the bionicle skrall glatorian lol.

Top-notch set AND review, although the latter is a given in this channel 😊
Pretty fun, reminds me of the old Shell racetrack sets.
now Lego city has an Octan monopoly
Yup. And with the start/finish set you could turn your Lego city into a Lego "Monaco". Should have some stands and railings and use the food trucks to sell visitors of the race food. You can make it interesting if you got the space.
My 5 year old is going to love this! Thanks Jang!
I hate to sound like a broken record, but I hope we get some more rally themed vehicles at some point
I hope we get a train theme
Rally, Rallycross even Motocross would be appreciated
not a broken record. Would be good to get an 037 to go with the quattro, and an imprezza and lancer duo
sadly, not as popular f1 for them to do an entire theme
I miss watching WRC from when I lived in Ireland but it's entirely unheard of in the US. F1 is decently popular.
I think the US is Lego's largest market so it being unpopular in the US isn't a good sign.
That is one neat set! The car in particular is really nicely done. Those two tiny wings on the inlet... perfect!
This has to be one of the coolest "cheap" playsets in a long while. Buying this for my kid cousin's bday! Will use your link 😁
I did not know the old whip piece was still in production, it's been so long since I last saw it in a new set, but here it is now
I love the laughing brown beard minifig head. I bought it many times for my castle and pirates. I can't get enough of the guy.
Hi Jang, great review, thank you! As for the realism factor: You'd need 16 minifigs on the pitcrew alone plus some built up jacks rear and back.

Love it!
Jang's (unsponsored) brick-built toy reviews: Best production. Best voice. Best personality. Most thorough and fair reviews. All-around best reviews.
This is such a great set. It gives me mid-2000s Lego vibes, which is nice. I might actually pick it up later this year. Glad to see an actual PLAY set these days, and one that looks great at that.
Thanks for the review! Looks like I'll be picking this one up when it goes on sale.

If the pit street was Ferrari specific, the timer needed at least 4 digits.
I like the throwback. Need more sets like this.
Woah I had no idea they still made that black piece on the back of the mechanism! What a throwback.
Thanks for the review Jang. This set could be easily reconfigured to resemble inside the pit garage. Would love to see a colab with Shell again and do the trackside lab at Marenello.
great review man! keep em 25’ sets goin!
What a delightful play feature! Definitely a great set to have for play and display
Man, I really like how much they're doing with this set for the size!
Lovely, set fantastic play features. Really good fun love the mechanism seven year old me would’ve loved it. Heck even old-age me loves it
Excellent review as always, that's why you've been my favourite reviewer for years. Can you please highlight the new pieces by themselves? I know it takes more effort but it's always fun to think about how I can use them in MOC's.
This is great price. Remember when people complained about huge plates rising the price?
As said it wasnt that much of a deal for lego to create them.
I really wish we got an extra set of the printed wheel caps bc they work perfectly for TRON disks. Would have definitely picked up this set if they were there!
This almost feels like a remake of a Racers set I had as a kid :0
Looks like this is designed to be symmetrical, so you can reverse the direction to simulate a pit stop from a track with the garage on the left as well if you want. Just move the lollipop sign with the stop arrow to the opposite side!
Thank you for existing, JANG.
This feels like a set that the kids of now will be nostalgic for when theyre kids of old
The mechanisms here are really cute! The tire rack especially is freaking genius!
I think this looks like a fun set and as a kid would have loved this, because as an adult I still think it's quite nifty.
Thanks for the review, you are right, this is a very nice set, with a lot of playvalue. I will definitley add this one to my collection. For 30 Euros the value is very good.

Ferrari with Mclaren pit crew colors! Well done LEGO but thanks for the review.
Really like this set and think the play features are great. Very decent value as well - especially since it will then likely go on discount!
Feels like some classic lego sets from decades ago
but way more detail. classic lego sets had a lot less detail
A set I plan to get but not day 1. Looks real good
I’m getting this set when on sale. I’m a sucker for F1 LEGO sets and this reminds me a lot of the F1 pit stop from 2004 with the pit lane road baseplate
Not into F1, but I'm glad this set exists. Good stuff!
Looks great for a playset. Just wish they would have used the old design for the car. Great review Jang
Great review
7:35 Also, don’t use PayPal’s Honey if you’re going to use Jang’s affiliate link lol
Awsome playset! 😄
Neat lil playset!
Pretty good for the price! Actual playfeatures again!
Red makes it fast.
This is such a genuinely beautiful set!
Not my personal interest however I can absolutely appreciate the design of this set, and I know it will be incredible fun for kids especially any interested in f1
Excellent play set for the kiddos
Brings back memories of the old Ferrari sets!!
Happy New Year!
I’m definitely buying this when it’s available in Australia
Great little set. As an F1 fan I love what they’ve done with the sets. But I think I’m going to limit myself to the SC and CMF cars plus the Icons FW14B. Do you think there’s still more to come from this theme ? Eg Art or Friends ?

Ive got the old octan F1-style race car, and im super curious as to how these compare. Im 100% buying these sets though, they all look great
Cool to display and fun for play
Would it be possible to expand this set to accommodate the modern speed champions scale f1 cars?
Box box
I'm not too into the F1 subtheme, but this does look REALLY cool on its own!
If only they release this in red bull colors, i would definitely buy it
Will probably get this one if I can get it under 30 in Europe. Seems like good value for that amount. Not sure if I should save up for one of the speed champions formula cars though.
I like the look of the car, it's very 90s, the squished look, not like these modern overly long cars.
This might be the cheapest official Ferrari item you could buy
Yeah the halo looks weird.
Maybe if they added a jumper and a 1x1 tile with a clip?..
I think the city "f1" sets will make great F3 or F4 cars relative to speed champions F1 cars.
the driver looks like leclerc.
It's a great set, unfortunately I'm not an F-1 fan.
Stay out! Stay out! Stay out!
5:30 Lego is really getting a lot of mileage out of that "archer" face. Not that I'm complaining, it's a good one. But that alternate face is usually not very useful unless you're actually using it on an archer

I love that LEGO have gone all in with the F1 theme this year! I'm aiming to get one of each team's race car (hopefully)
Amazon will be selling an ultimate collectors edition that has all the teams’ cars, set number 66802.
Lego and f1 are my two of my top passions and are also sickeningly commercial… so to not compound bad will that I don’t want to have.. I think I’ll just stick with the truck. 🖖
This Main-feature makes zero sense. It even takes away from playability
More like f2 car
Please Stop with this #not sponsored Nonsens! We've understanded you, let it be please. You're not sponsored from anyone, WE know it now.
No. Please stop with this self-centered "WE" nonsense. You are not my only viewer, and you do not represent all viewers. I like the box, but the car is really horrible, just the bare minimum to represent it.😅
I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. It’s at a completely different scale than the current 8 stud wide Speed Champions and I think it fits the set nicely. This idea at a SC scale would cost an absurd amount of money.
F1 Lego = Disappointment
I’m not an F1 fan and I’ve been impressed. What are your specific issues with the current sets?
