Appreciate it sir. When mine take a dump. I'm gonna replace it too with a dorm fridge as well. Now I know how.. I had dorm fridge in my old 2019. And it's more room, more convenient, and cheap to replace. By the way.. How is it with the dorm fridge and the optimized idle and the factory inverter? Blow any fuses pr inverter resets??
I installed 4x interstate batteries from Costco in my 2016 cascadia whem i got my mini fridge w separate freezer compartment. I've started carrying a portable 3000 watt jumper starter w me just in case.. Ive left my fridge, just like the one on this video on for 48hr n the truck still starts. My inverter is just a 2500 watt inverter, but if u look at the fridge specs. It only a 700 watt i believe. The compressor is not on all the time, it works harder when its 70+ outside since the truck does get warmer on the inside. My inverter n most have a auto disconnect ranging from 12.3v-12.9v. The inverter will disconnect/turn off the fridge to save my battery n keep enough juice to fire up the truck at 12.6v. I havent tested it for more than 48hrs. I usually just keep wut i am going to use, emty the fridge/clean the fridge n disconnect it by hand 95% of the time. I do leave paper towls, kitchen towel in the freezer part as well as the middle shelve were water will accumulate so there is no mess when it thaws out. There is another video here where a guy installed a mine fridge n he says leaves his fridge on all the time. He did put child safe clips on the doors to keep the door from swinging open when turning.
Any chance you could give dimensions of dorm fridge you put in. I have one that I had in my 2019 freightliner. But my 2022 came with the same one you took out. If this one I have would just slide in, that would be great. Please let me know. Thanks
Ok, u didn't removed the the whole cabinet right. U just wedge it in there right? Has it stayed in place. It wont rattle or move? Or fall face forward when turning?
@LifeOfKO oh u did. Now that i watched it again u did took the side behind the passenger side seat correct? Had u film it, it would've been more better. ;)
@@LifeOfKOi can see that the door scrapes the floor on the fridge part. In my 2016 cascadia, both doors have swung open. I got 1st choice cabinet locks on it. I wanted to prep it off the floor a bit so that i dont have to crawl to get to the bottom cabinet. In my 2016 cascadia. The fridge sits on the bottom shelf so its about 18in off the ground. I will c wit i will do w this one i might make a laundry type pedestal. Thanks 4 the video btw.
You are a life saver dude, don’t ask how but remote for TV ended up behind the Frig. Watched the video and problem solved. Thanks!!!!!
Lol damn. I’m glad I could help boss. Be safe
Thanks!
Anytime. Thank you 🙏🏽

So far no issues. No blown fuses either. Anytime. Thanks for watching

Great video. Thank you
Yw boss
Thanks for the video 👍🏼 is there a way you secured it in place? Or will it stay on its own?
It’ll stay if you keep the plastic piece on at least one side. It won’t slide
Thanks for this video. Bout to go do it now
is there a plug back there that the fridge is already plugged into?
No. It’s just a wire connection back there. Just unplug it
@@LifeOfKO so you have to plug your new fridge into a plug right
@MelloInvestigations yes. I plugged it into my inverter.
good job. you can put bigger one..I don with bigger fridge. recommending.
Did you use a power drill and what’s the name of the kit with the T40?
I had no power tools boss. I’m not sure. I won it in a raffle years ago.
Thank you man
Anytime boss
What size refrigerator is that bruh I have to replace mine
Whirlpool from target. 3.1 cu ft
@@LifeOfKOthanks fam
@g-dawgantoine1332 anytime boss
hey thanks for this! how did you secure it so its not walking out on its own ? thanks again.
I left one side of the plastic so it’s wedged. The flooring stops it from moving forward
As a company driver, I wish I could've taken it out. It takes up a ton of space for not a lot of room inside the fridge.
Exactly. I hated that small fridge. Having the bigger one is so much better. They should just order the trucks without the fridge
So your company won’t allow you to remove it?
Did you install a different inverter or use the build in inverter?
I didn’t change the inverter I left that alone.
@@LifeOfKO thanks
Yw
What did you do with the company fridge?
Keep it.

It’s 32.8 inches (H) x 19.13 inches (w) x 21.1 inches (D)
Thanks, yours is actually just a little bigger than mine. So that tells me that mine WILL fit. Again thank you.
That’s good news lol. Save some money. Anytime man. Be safe.
@@LifeOfKO Are you able to plug the new one back in to the original connection or did you buy a inverter
Truck comes with a inverter already. They had the old one hard wired into the truck so I plugged it into a surge protector behind my microwave.
Yo thanks hate that factory refrigerator
lol anytime.
How do you take the disconnect the cords
It’s a plug boss
How you desconected the wireless from the fridge to the tractor?
It’s just a plug. I disconnected it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good video could you have taken the other side panel off?
Thank you. Yea I could off. I only left it so it’s more so a snug fit so it doesn’t slide around.
Hey did the microwave come in there too or did u purchase your own
It came in my truck when I got it.
I just picked my truck up in North Carolina SFI today
Nicee congratulations
@@LifeOfKO thank you for responding I pick mine up this week coming up 🙃
@@LeeJ90 anytime. Congratulations
I’ve bin looking for a video on how to remove it
Me too lol. That’s what made me want to make a better one.
Did you strap it down if so how you do it ?
No. It doesn’t move because of how the floor is.
Is your inverter always on having to plug it in instead of it being hard wired?
Yes it’s always on. I have a apu though
@@LifeOfKOoh ok makes sense I’ll get mine installed before I put the fridge in thanks for the info
If u bought the platform the fridge wouldnt rub on the floor opening
I don’t mind it. Keeps the door from swinging and the fridge from moving around.
On turns does it slide out sometimes?
Not at all. The floors hold it in
How do you disconnect the power on the fridge?
@Aj_9_ it’s a plug behind the fridge. Just disconnect that and you good.
Ok, u didn't removed the the whole cabinet right. U just wedge it in there right?
Has it stayed in place. It wont rattle or move? Or fall face forward when turning?
I took one side out. It never moved. It’s pretty much wedged in there
@LifeOfKO oh u did. Now that i watched it again u did took the side behind the passenger side seat correct?
Had u film it, it would've been more better. ;)

@elitdenver269 yes. When i got my truck now i took both sides out this time.
You got a link for the fridge bro ?
I don’t boss. I got it from target.
Hey bro we can remove company don’t care? I need to remove mine too I’m sick of it
I took mine out when I got my Sfi truck. Turned it in without it also. Never said anything to me.
@@LifeOfKO right them suckas old plus us drivers need a good fridge.
Those stock freightliner refrigerators are garbage!
