If you are really a born again believer and a hunger to serve the Lord, you can easily start a home church. Start a Bible study with another person, slowly it will grow into a bigger group. Once it's 20 or 25 people, split it and ask active members to start individual groups in their own homes. Holy Spirit will lead each group. Don't try to establish it as a big church, that's where selfishness, greed, money and leadership(who's greater) issues starts involving.
I did this before and that's what happened, it started with several people, than many, then lots of people showed up because of word of mouth. I started out teaching for the first time for 2 hours straight each time ,then I cut the study in half to 1 hour and the second hour was a mixture of prayers, praise reports, answered prayers, a song or two, and just Christian fellowship. The time would fly by so fast because we were all in tune with as one in Christ. I couldn't fit people in my apartment anymore!, I was thinking if asking my pastor if I could use a big empty room in the church or rent out a big room somewhere. I was amazed how quickly things were happening and developing.

I become a new born Christian on line. I was watching Derek Prince and get delivered. Jesus Christ was and is my teacher and mentor. Holy Spirit was and is my guide. I watched also Sid Roth and Jentzen Franklin. Holy Spirit has led me what to watch on you tube. For 10 years Lord Jesus Christ and Holy spirit has been best ever teacher. I went to one where even their cat who had been traumatized and hid under the bed when anybody new came to their house would come and lay down of its own accord.. completely relaxed right in the very middle of the group of 20-25 for the duration of us sitting around the living room in a circle. Even animals can get help!

This is amazing! There is definitely a difference in the traditional go to church model than what I've just watched here. I am hungry to walk in the power and leading of the Holy Spirit. Three of us started praying in my house at the start of the lockdown. Now we can't barely fit in my house. We have bought extra chairs. We have since hired a small building to have a Sunday service, however the house church continues. And we have seen many prayers answered.

House churches are the way to go as in the first century. I have been attending house churches for the last 40 years! Never want to go back to an organizational church, where money is the primary motive. You won't see a church without an offering plate passing by! In House churches we feel the closeness of God and we discuss our personal issues and pray for it from our hearts as if it's our own problem. And we always saw miracles of God in all matters we prayed together. By the way we contributed to God's work more than many churches do, though we never had offering plate in the last 40 years! Whenever a need comes, we discuss among those who are like minded (sometimes not with all) and contributed as required.
My first experience with church in a home was back in 1980, where we prayed together, read scripture together, and had tongues with interpretation where the one who spoke in tongues gave the interpretation. We sometimes heard this by as many as 3, and we had this every time we met. The leader gave the opportunity to do this at some time during the meeting. We sang wonderful spiritual songs together. Everyone was involved, unless you didn't want to be. As a minimum for me to be happy in a church I think I would want that. When was the last time you went to church where the whole hour was given to prayer, where you got to hear what each one was praying about? Are we not to be a house of prayer? And I often heard by the leader, "Does anyone need anything?" When was the last time you heard that from a pastor at a large church? Are we not to take care of one another first before the offerings go anywhere else? And add to this, how the church is to do justice and judgement. (read the first chapter of Isaiah. When was the last time you went to a church and the pastor said something like "In this church we have trained reconciling ministers who are willing to plead the cause of any oppressed. What they will do is listen to anything that is the cause of any oppression, but they will not hear evil for the sake of evil, and this is not about trying to control other people. They are not there to heap heavy burdens on people but rather are to ease them, and let the oppressed go free. They will be willing to hear all matters that are the cause of any present distress, and will want to verify information if they need to, to get to the matters that need to be addressed and they will plead to your 'oppressor' if that should be done, and they are willing to do for one party the same as for the other party, and ask for mercy when it is due. They are willing to walk through things with people, and by the mercies of God and through the power of the cross, they will work to reconcile men to God and to each other. So if you are being oppressed by anyone, or demons, or whatever, we can connect you to these ministers who are trained to find water in even the driest of places. They are aware of the promises of God, and they will shine light in any kind of darkness." I recently heard a story of a woman who was being stalked and she went to the police who did nothing except put in in a report for either lack of evidence, or because they couldn't really find anything illegal. The woman went through this for 5 years and eventually the stalker escalated in his acts and was eventually sent to prison, after the woman had to re-live the whole thing in a lengthy court trial in public. and I thought, "Wasn't there a church she could have gone to? Did she really have to suffer through this for 5 years? And even now, she says she will be afraid when his prison sentence is up.
Loved your thoughts. Especially "everyone is involved". So many think that means some charity work or missionary endeavor. It means all are involved in the meeting ...to share, to praise, to pray. etc. Involved. Not spectators. It is changing. What a time to watch and be a part of it all.
I used to go to a church like this. At the end of every meeting they would tell anyone who needed prayer to come up and almost everyone did each time. Best church I'd ever been to and still miss it.

This is exactly how our house church goes weekly. Started it in Aug 2020. It’s different every week. You can’t plan it. Of course we all pray and read and come expectant. But the Holy Spirit guides us. So many of Sid’s questions I have asked myself because I was in a system most of my life. It’s so freeing. I love it. I can’t go back to a system.
I remember our church had Sunday service being broadcast via AM radio and the family listening with bible in hand. Sadly the radio station was sold and the new owners ended the Sunday church broadcast.

The "church" that we grew up with, was already far removed from the church in the book of Acts. I was a pastor and the Holy Spirit started showing me His Truths in the Word and I resigned from the "official church" over 30 years ago and we just started meeting from house to house. We fellowship in small groups, where we can look each other in the eye and worship in Spirit and Truth...
Totally agree about 3x week. 1-When I first got ssved & once kids grown & divorced. My significant other is Father Son & Holy Spirit bc all others think me too radical, if not crazy. But i've had too many supernatural events to ever go back!! And leave my life 100% expectantly for Jesus.

I've longed for this type of 'church' for many, many years, however, nothing like that exists where I live. I am not in a position where I can start one in my own 'home'. If I knew of one like he is talking about, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Years ago, when i first came back to God, I heard about a humongous church in Africa that meets in the home all week long, and finally once a month they meet in a large auditorium as one church.
This church is happening in America too, Sid. Covid happen!!! When the government had churches closed and prohibited singing, We went outside. "JESUS LEFT THE BUILDING" I was healed in 2020 in my room from long, long years of low back pain with a Pastor from Australia on UA-cam. I follow Sean Feucht the " Let Us Worship" movement and Daniel Adams Supernatural ministry. They both have outside ministry. Many, many hundreds have been saved, healed and delivered. My relationship with God has grown to another level and all this at home. I agree 100% that the church has changed in these last days.
When I first came to Christ and started reading The Bible the words 'house church' kept leaping right out at me and I knew it was God trying to tell me something. I've since joined a church and have been invited into a small group that meet every Wednesday and I hope one day The Lord blesses me with a home that is big enough to have fellowship in and brothers and sisters in Christ to meet in to read the word and discuss, to praise and worship Him.., in Jesus Name I pray

Why doesn't everyone come to a Sunday church to celebrate what God has done through the week and what God will do in the days to come and not to be spoon fed the word because we don't do it ourselves
For many years I have been in and out of churches. Lord showed me most are 'plasma". Real church...hard to find...is the blood. Plasma looks like the real thing and acts like the real thing....but it is not the real thing. Tis" the Lord's season to address this issue globally. Hallelujah!
I go to church every time the doors are open, church will seat about 1000 . On Wednesday night we probably have may be 10 , on Sunday maybe 12 are church is not the only one we pray for God to fill all the seats, there is 4 churches with in 5 miles of us can very few people go there l don't know l ask God for a blessing
Posted elsewhere, old post: - I would assume it is sometimes the simple things that destroy or hinder culture, as an example: Before many churches went to singing church songs off the church wall on a regular basis by projector as a regular thing, then what was it like before such intervention by regular use of projected image wall singings as compared to reading songs regular out of song books? - The difference is quite simple, one can get mixed up and fall out of place trying to sing wall projector songs. That doesn't mean we shouldn't use projects for the worship services but here is the problem, saith God. - One may grow up like 12 years in reading school textbooks, therefore: Those people are highly trained to read and focuses on reading because of prior school teaching technics, so when these people read hymn books, they automictically keep in step and become desirethsome to want to be a part of the church service for they feel they know more about what is going on in the church service. - And it is because one can find themselves so untrained to focuse on singing by projector image church songs and then while singing by projector, many may often fall behind in singing and are always trying to catch up in a projector song with others singing that project gospel songs on church walls. - Image projectors are fine to use but reading by hymn book should not be thrown away for they those hymn books have their valuable place in the church services, as well, saith God. Home church will have more time to worship and pray but the churches we have are always rushing and have not enough time although they own the building and I am happy if God is taking us back to home or house church
Alot if the true believers in America have gone underground because of#1 like Paul called it "Doctrines Of Demons"! Ideologies such as Metaphysics, Mysticism,Word Faith have infiltrated the church. That is the number 1 reason I have a hard time staying in a church. I love the people of God but will not tolerate evil teaching. I gave my life to Jesus 12-26-1983 at the age of 24 and I'm still.looking for a solid biblical bible teaching church. I just turned 62 and I'm still walking down the narrow road with Jesus. If you do not have a pastor and elders who can correct you and are responsible to teach you it can be a very dangerous. This is why from the beggining in churches were pastors and elders. It is an example for us how God wants us to exist as a church.
I've learned that the pastor and the people will let you down. You follow God rather than man. You love and forgive them but you don't put your hope and trust in anyone or two people. God will use and put in your life who ever he wills to.
Stay home and get in tight with Him let him talk to you and explain things to you , his word, your character and why you do say and think the way you do-SURRENDER ALL AND BELIEVE!!!!! I used to go to a church like this. At the end of every meeting they would tell anyone who needed prayer to come up and almost everyone did each time. Best church I'd ever been to and still miss it.

This is exactly how our house church goes weekly. Started it in Aug 2020. It’s different every week. You can’t plan it. Of course we all pray and read and come expectant. But the Holy Spirit guides us. So many of Sid’s questions I have asked myself because I was in a system most of my life. It’s so freeing. I love it. I can’t go back to a system.
I remember our church had Sunday service being broadcast via AM radio and the family listening with bible in hand. Sadly the radio station was sold and the new owners ended the Sunday church broadcast.

The "church" that we grew up with, was already far removed from the church in the book of Acts. I was a pastor and the Holy Spirit started showing me His Truths in the Word and I resigned from the "official church" over 30 years ago and we just started meeting from house to house. We fellowship in small groups, where we can look each other in the eye and worship in Spirit and Truth...

Totally agree about 3x week. 1-When I first got ssved & once kids grown & divorced. My significant other is Father Son & Holy Spirit bc all others think me too radical, if not crazy. But i've had too many supernatural events to ever go back!! And leave my life 100% expectantly for Jesus.

Very good message I have wondered about this cause I cannot find the Lord in a lot of these churches and I have to stay home cause I feel that he is with me I see a lot of things wrong in our churches and it bothers me Why go to church and all you see is a baby Church and you don't get your needs met I'm sorry that's the way I feel and I've asked the Lord to help me please am I doing wrong?

I've longed for this type of 'church' for many, many years, however, nothing like that exists where I live. I am not in a position where I can start one in my own 'home'. If I knew of one like he is talking about, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Years ago, when i first came back to God, I heard about a humongous church in Africa that meets in the home all week long, and finally once a month they meet in a large auditorium as one church.
This church is happening in America too, Sid. Covid happen!!! When the government had churches closed and prohibited singing, We went outside. "JESUS LEFT THE BUILDING" I was healed in 2020 in my room from long, long years of low back pain with a Pastor from Australia on UA-cam. I follow Sean Feucht the " Let Us Worship" movement and Daniel Adams Supernatural ministry. They both have outside ministry. Many, many hundreds have been saved, healed and delivered. My relationship with God has grown to another level and all this at home. I agree 100% that the church has changed in these last days.
When I first came to Christ and started reading The Bible the words 'house church' kept leaping right out at me and I knew it was God trying to tell me something. I've since joined a church and have been invited into a small group that meet every Wednesday and I hope one day The Lord blesses me with a home that is big enough to have fellowship in and brothers and sisters in Christ to meet in to read the word and discuss, to praise and worship Him.., in Jesus Name I pray

For many years I have been in and out of churches. Lord showed me most are 'plasma". Real church...hard to find...is the blood. Plasma looks like the real thing and acts like the real thing....but it is not the real thing. Tis" the Lord's season to address this issue globally. Hallelujah!
I go to church every time the doors are open, church will seat about 1000 . On Wednesday night we probably have may be 10 , on Sunday maybe 12 are church is not the only one we pray for God to fill all the seats, there is 4 churches with in 5 miles of us can very few people go there l don't know l ask God for a blessing

I would assume it is sometimes the simple things that destroy or hinder culture, as an example: Before many churches went to singing church songs off the church wall on a regular basis by projector as a regular thing, then what was it like before such intervention by regular use of projected image wall singings as compared to reading songs regular out of song books?

The difference is quite simple, one can get mixed up and fall out of place trying to sing wall projector songs. That doesn't mean we shouldn't use projects for the worship services but here is the problem, saith God.

One may grow up like 12 years in reading school textbooks, therefore: Those people are highly trained to read and focuses on reading because of prior school teaching technics, so when these people read hymn books, they automictically keep in step and become desirethsome to want to be a part of the church service for they feel they know more about what is going on in the church service.

And it is because one can find themselves so untrained to focuse on singing by projector image church songs and then while singing by projector, many may often fall behind in singing and are always trying to catch up in a projector song with others singing that project gospel songs on church walls.

Image projectors are fine to use but reading by hymn book should not be thrown away for they those hymn books have their valuable place in the church services, as well, saith God. Reading by book in the church service can help others feel like they are a part of something for they have been in many cases, taught by school to read and be focused.

I think all is necessary if YAH is using it we cant knock what YAH is doing. We need to repent and trust YAH if HE tells you start a Church than do it if HE tells you to open a House Church than do it. Our ELOHIM is A ELOHIM of order regardless of what we may perceive is right or wrong. At the end of the day be obedient and listen to YAHASHUA/JESUS. Amen
1 Corinthians 14 ... interesting statement by Paul about "when all come together ..." . But I like the idea of "Jesus is the leader and every time we meet we will see what He has for us next" is far better than a "planned service".

Alot if the true believers in America have gone underground because of#1 like Paul called it "Doctrines Of Demons"! Ideologies such as Metaphysics, Mysticism,Word Faith have infiltrated the church. That is the number 1 reason I have a hard time staying in a church. I love the people of God but will not tolerate evil teaching. I gave my life to Jesus 12-26-1983 at the age of 24 and I'm still.looking for a solid biblical bible teaching church. I just turned 62 and I'm still walking down the narrow road with Jesus. If you do not have a pastor and elders who can correct you and are responsible to teach you it can be a very dangerous. This is why from the beggining in churches were pastors and elders. It is an example for us how God wants us to exist as a church.
A church tried to put me in the kind of a placement that was not my forte, and some poor kid probably payed for that.
I've learned that the pastor and the people will let you down. You follow God rather than man. You love and forgive them but you don't put your hope and trust in anyone or two people. God will use and put in your life who ever he wills to.
