I am in on making Joe a statue. I love better days. Thanks for getting Jon to sing.
Joey is humble and smart.
He's my favorite
I love these guys! They’re so fun and honestly care about us Blockheads 🥰
Awesome interview! ❤ They really do have a feel good energy but never in a forced way. They’re authentic and true to themselves and it shows! That’s why we love them!
I completely agree!!! ❤
Wholeheartedly agree❣️And might I add how I love that they’ve always remained so humble. Love that about them so much! 😌
My loves. Also I adore this Jordan. The way he speaks these days like he’s not a pop ICON. Sirr! It’s just precious, this was an incredible interview
They were, are and will be THE BEST. Love them!! Specially Jordan ❤.
❤ I just love these guys. My boys!! I'm 56, and I'm still gushing like I'm that 20 year old who fell for them back in the day. 😊 I saw them on Apollo and was ❤

What I wouldn't give to be able to meet these guys... just once...
Awesome interview guys, I tear up the same way Joey did every time I see them come out on stage. Donnie brings love and joy every where he goes, his positivity fills the room, or arena!! ♥️🤖
Really good interview.
Nice to have a host who knows them well.
It's cool New Kids are still together and performing for the fans coming out with new music plus playing there old songs as well 👍🙂
Great interview! Those questions are on point 🥰
Thank you for inviting them to the iHeart Music Festival!
Fan of NKOTB for over 35 years! I couldn't stop smiling during this interview 😁... What a hoot! 🤣❤🎉
Aww 🥰 love them let’s go new kids on the block
Better Days is my absolute favourite on the album. Fantastic song written by Joe and Jon’s vocals are beautiful. He should sing a hell of a lot more ❤️❤️
This was truly a great interview. Thank you Elvis Duran. The magic with New Kids is each of their hearts. Just when you think they couldn't give or do more... they do. And not because they have to because they have given of themselves enough but it's because they want to. Our partnership as artist & fans is really beautiful & unique. We are truly grateful, thankful & blessed to be Blockheads
I love them forever and ever ❤ They bring me such joy ❤
Me too❤❤❤❤
Q102 Philly remembers New Kids on The Block back in 1989. Q102 loves boy bands not only NKOTB, but also The Backstreet Boys, N'SYNC, OneDirection, and course, 5 Seconds of Summer.
I was born in 1990. Thankfully had an older cousin and sister that introduced me to NKOTB since I could talk and I've loved them ever since!!!! Im 34 now and still love them to death!!!!! My daughters are mini blockheads too 😊❤
I was 15 when I saw them in concert when they first came out,my first concert ever and now I will be 51 this year😁 NKOTB and BSB are my favs❤❤❤
Great interview. New Kids 4 eva! The new album has me feeling like its the release of Step by Step all over again. ❤
JORDAN KNIGHT IS THEE DANCE LEGEND ❤❤❤❤❤ Love you Jordan!!!!!
What a great interview! It was so great seeing and hearing something so candid and in the moment and humorous. I laughed so hard at times and felt bad when Joey teared up. I'm a huge fan of this album and I almost feel like a love struck teenager again. Which at my age is amazing! These guys are amazing!
5 of my favorite humans EVER!
🤖❤️♾️
I'm 47, and now I have my 12yr old daughter listening to you guys! We ❤ you!

What a great interview! Can’t wait to hear the album tomorrow!!! ❤
Word, I agree with Jordan about some of the older bands' new albums. ❤
What a fantastic interview. I love these guys! 🩷💕🩷💕🩷
My sister called so much she still is paying my parents back. She tried to blame me but I could reach the phone . The guys were my first loves.
Great promo interview .
I had a fave but after i met him in person, i switched .
..😊😊😊😊😊😊..
Yes we love them!! And they love us. You can tell that we’re special to them, that they care. I’ve never seen another group post memorials to fans that have passed like they do, who spend 1/3 of the concert standing amongst the fans, especially groups that are touring over 30 years later.
Nobody like them. 😊❤
#loveeternal #Blockhead
Absolutely amazing interview. Love the down to earth attitude, the jokes, the love, the stories, the nostalgia you bring to the fans from then and now. Oh, and let's not forget the accents, I always love listening to the accents. Y'all are amazing. The energy you bring to the music and fans is absolutely amazing! I'm so sad I won't be able to attend the concert in Austin this summer, but look forward to seeing recorded videos on UA-cam after. 😊 so excited to get my new NKOTB album!!! Have a beautiful weekend everyone!
Still got it .

I chalk up a lot of their enduring success on the nostalgia circuit to their work ethic and keeping in shape and most importantly, the disturbing power of nostalgia itself, especially on these largely female fans, because a lot of their hits were really just awful apart from “The Right Stuff” and “I’ll Be Loving You.” It’s just the truth. Those two hits are the only ones that can still really transcend their time. All their other hits were largely artifacts of their time and mainly triumphs of their marketing.
L take. Step by Step, PDGG, If You Go Away are absolute bangers
@@RocStarr913 People were tired of them because they were overexposed . Plus internally they weren’t allowed grow musically when they had managers and producers shutting down ideas and collaborations that would’ve helped them develop artistically and grow with the times. They were held back. The lipsync accusations were just a way for the media to rid the New Kids from the mainstream.
@@MarcoDSabo Those ones have all sounded dated long since. There’s a reason people got tired of New Kids by the end of 1990 and that accusation about them lip-synching stuck at the time, because they mostly made absolutely mediocre music and that they were more about marketing than their music, which was largely passable at best.
@@MarcoDSaboIt’s not like the singles “Games” and “Call It What You Want,” which were remixed by Clivilles & Cole for their single releases, managed to really make them any more distinctive. It’s not like the Face The Music album really showed much evidence at the time that they fit with contemporary music anymore on their own by the time they and Maurice Starr parted ways. It also didn’t help that they weren’t even very good singers to begin with. Their singing was and largely still is passable at best. Jordan was the most distinct singer of the five, but not in a positive way at all. At least, the Backstreet Boys and N’Sync by comparison were much better singers and their hits were written by better songwriters and producers. New Kids was more a triumph of simply being at the right place at the right time with the right marketing and right level of work ethic, particularly because they were white. Even “The Right Stuff” was mainly a clone of the hits on the Control album that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis did with Janet Jackson and that Full Force did for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam and Samantha Fox at the time.
@@RocStarr913 While I am a blockhead, I actually won’t disagree with you on that! They weren’t known to be a harmony group and I think that did bite them in the ass later on. They did get away with some mediocre performances (that I know for a fact groups like B2M or NE could never get away with) and I will agree that the New Kids can attribute a good amount of their success of being at the right place at the right time. I will say though that Jordan and Joe are still incredibly talented vocalists IMO and it’s not fair to downplay their talent (especially because Jordan low key carried the group vocally during their prime). I still think they’re talented. To have that much longevity showcases that they had some level of talent and they worked hard for it as you mentioned (even though I will agree that them being white and being the only white group of their kind out at the time made it easier for them to blow up and stand out). Plus they did lip sync (to their own vocals) quite a lot pre the Magic Summer Tour. And I will say that I sideye them not always doing their background vocals on their songs - solo artists have other people do background all the time but if you’re a group with five singers, why bring in other people like Maurice to do backing vocals, isn’t that your job? But nonetheless I still fuck with the New Kids heavy and I still think they’re talented entertainers with good music!
Perlman took them all up their back street. When they were boys.
