My Raptor R is scheduled for Jan 28th delivery. I ordered a new TRX, drove it when it arrived & passed on it. I did not care for 4wd/awd only. I want rear wheel for burning the tires off if I choose to do so or drifting dirt roads. The Raptor has a better ride also. I will say IMO the TRX has a nicer interior & I really liked the heads up display. In the end I chose the Raptor R as I have owned several standard Raptors & currently own a 2022 Raptor. It’s just an opinion & only worth what you paid for it!😎
My fiance is a 2 time Raptor owner, still owning his gen 1 (we love it!) and has a gen 2 that is great fun, but the ecoboost sound just sucks, making it stop short of being perfect. He dislikes it so much that he almost traded for a TRX and was going to, until Ford unveiled this beauty! Also, it helped that I ordered a 2022 Bronco Raptor (the Braptor lol) and am an unlucky carryover order from 2022 model year, now awaiting my 2023, so that definitely helped him make up his mind on getting the Raptor R lol. I think my Bronco Raptor and his Raptor R is a perfect couples rigs, for us lol. Especially living in Utah, now!
I think you'll have the better vehicle because I think the Bronco raptor is just awesome in every way. I really hope you both have fun and drive them the way they were built to be driven.

I have a nice daily driver and hate seeing people daily driving these off road intended 4x4s, because people daily driving past dedicated utilitarian 4x4s is what ruined them by encouraging auto makers to turn them all into fully independent suspension luxury grocery haulers with back massaging seats lol. We went nearly 2 decades with very few off road usable options, in North America I'm happy to see them return!

Perfect truck, the graphics from the 23' are so much nicer then the new 2024 ones, there just so boring and tacky. Also the interior in the 2024 is awful.
