I have driven both cars and tested both engines, honestly the scorpio N Mhawk diesel engine feels and sounds more refined than the Jeep compass, and there is so much engine vibration on the jeep... Even the driving quality feels better in the scorpio
About tyre profile I would like to say that 225/55R18 means 225=Width of the tyre in mm 55= 55% of tyre width (225mm) that is 123.75mm is the height of side wall. R=Radial 18=Diameter of the alloy in inches. In Scorpio N its 255/65R17. The wheels look bigger even with smaller alloys. Bigger alloys always look better.
Mahindra has done a fabulous job designing the 'N'. This has the quietest engine in it's category on India. Engine noise and vibration are even lesser than XUV 700.
