- Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers actor David Yost gave a panel at Steel City Con December 2021 to talk about his experiences, his new project and to answer fan questions.
David Yost is Billy Cranston / The Blue Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the movie and Power Rangers Zeo. He is also developing a project as a reunion for the original Power Ranger actors called Power Rangers Quantum Continuum.

Whether the bullying was as bad as people make it out to be or not, it’s such a gem to see that David is still so devoted to his fans. Ironically, Billy was probably one of the best developed characters next to Tommy. He was always one of my favorites.
It’s not people that is made the bullying sound as bad as it is it’s actually David he said this himself there’s interviews of him talking about it that’s why he left the show
David Yost is awesome. I'm glad that he's doing well and working on a reunion show. Sounds great. Billy was always my favorite ranger as a kid, and I got to tell him that at a Comic Con one year.
Tommy was always my favorite, but Billy was second. Watching them over as adult Billy definitely takes the cake. He was the most useful of all of them. Its a damn shame we haven't seen him any other iterations, not that I blame him if he's refused.
Billy was always the Ranger who was smart, which made him an asset to the team. He was not just brute strength but alot of the times wasnthe brains of the crew. Definitely the most underrated power ranger.

The Power Ranger fanbase has to be one of the most supportive and positive fandoms out there. Nobody's perfect but I think the personal journey of some of the actors has left them and us humbled and inspired as a whole.
There are several moments where I feel that the young Power Rangers actors really proved their acting chops, and David Yost really is the only one that was there for all three of these moments, and here they are:
1. "Return of an Old Friend, Part I" in the scene where the Rangers give their power coins to Goldar.
2. "Ninja Quest, Part I" where the Rangers witness the destruction of the Thunderzords and the Tigerzord.
3. "Hogday Afternoon, Part II" where the Command Center blows up in the end.
All of the Power Rangers actors absolutely delivered in those moments, and a lot of others. I wonder what David Yost felt about making those, as well as the other Power Rangers actors.
I'd love to see that reunion show!

As a kid I didn't realize David Yost was so much older than me. Obviously I knew he older but had no idea he was 15 almost 16 years older. He's only 7 years younger than my dad and 4 1/2 years younger than my mom. Believe the character was only 6 years older because I remember in 5th grade the zeo epoisde where Billy graduated a year early aired.
If he ever comes back to Pittsburgh again I would love to meet him
My mother's higschool friend was a stunt double for the orginal cast.

Make Power Rangers animated series based on Boon Studio comics so that David reprised the voice Billy the Blues Ranger that will be great.

Ok. So David Yost was my celebrity crush as a kid, and blue was always my favorite ranger. But the way he talks about it - it really just sounds like he didn't love it, and it also sounds like he just does the cons because they bring in money. The vibe is so weird to me.
He's from Sioux City,Iowa. Stated that he first discovered his Homosexuality when he was 8. "There was Sissy boy in my Class who Dressed like Wonder Woman, Twirled around the Playground and Kissed other Boys. That's when I said to myself that I'm just like him. I just knew in 2nd Grade that I was gay."
I think you have him mistaken/ are not aware of the why he has those feelings. The production team for MMPR we're not saints.
