Lovecu Mrs Outsider ❤agree great work Sir Outsider.much love to u both..what ever idea u have in mind Sir..is just great for me.i dont have a clue for building😅..but i love whatcur doing.happy building Sir.❤
Good day young lady. Just want you to know we’re all praying for you and your family. Your husband is very talented, and lucky to have such a fine family. God bless.
Happy to see the front porch going up. You're father prepared supplies for your journey and will always be watching over everything you do. God Bless you and your family.
You are exactly right! It is wonderful...even a couple years after my father's passing...to still receive help from him via his past provisions for the present build.
I'm sure you can hear 'him'...'This is my son in whom I am well pleased.' You blow me away each vid! The 'thinking' and natural talents you are endowed with are simply beautiful to observe. Thank you for sharing...health and blessings! The only suggestion I would have for a railing would be something that permits as much view as possible. :)
This is amazing. And this is the first video I have seen explaining how to effectively use natural stone to add bearers or a structure on top. I have boulders all around my house and need to build a deck into some and have been searching endlessly for good information - finally, I found it! Many thanks for such awesome content
My David and I have been watching since the beginning. We feel like part of the extended family, all of us here in the comments and watching. David is very sick and in the hospital but I know this new video will raise his spirits. We wish you all a blessed day. ❤
Thats nice about those rocks. Looks like your pop is still helping out. I started watching about 2 mos. before you dads passing and I cried too. Sorry for your loss but I know the LORD is with you always. With love and respect from my heart.
I agree regardless of the duration between videos my interest not only remains, but grows stronger. The cabin is a truly organic and faithful homage to your father and your wife and daughter. Wishing you many years of joy.
The ripples of time - your father's actions as a child, moving all those stones, now provides the foundation for your viewpoint: a place to admire the Now, whilst seeing the Past and imagining the Future. Apart from all that, I love the home you've all built together. I should imagine that the finishing touches will be just as they should. That will certainly ensure that they match all your realised dreams so far.
I could not say it any better than you!! I just had to reply, The Outsider is such a wonderful human being. I've been watching him for years. There have been so many happy exciting videos from him. I've been through the tough times as well. He has his Dad's work ethic and dedication. He is a great example of what a man should be!
I love your ode to your father regarding the field stones. My father was a master carpenter and I so wish he had taught me some of his skills. I hope you share your skills with your daughter should she show some interest.
Lovely to see you. I wouldn’t insult your exceptional building skills by suggesting what railing or steps to create for the porch. I’m sure yours will like be like no other with your unique style and eye for detail. ‘ Fill your boots’ as we would say. Regards to your wife and daughter. Take care, keep safe. ❤ Dorset, UK
Fun thoughts - As you dragged the massive boulders in place, I got an impression of the cabin WAY in the future, several generations out. A "contingent" of folks were nestled together near the stove and it's heat, everything pretty much the same as we see it here with any added things accomplished since this video of course. They talked and laughed and marveled at the work it must have taken and spoke of you and your dad working together, side by side. What an "imanginable" place you've created and imbued your love with. Then someone announces it's time to leave and, one by one, each of the families pop out of sight intsantly until the room is empty. You see, they were all light-years apart, in different universes, holographic type traveling is now available. And we are spread across distances "unimaginable" to us now. Still, your family's efforts stand hard and fast, those boulders and the stones from the pile your dad might have made so many years before, helping to enusre generations to come will still meet here, remembering who enabled this family gathering place. It was because of your love for each other, and us, this is not lost on me. Love is the key to life, the key to everything. Love back to you and wish you and yours the best thoughts always, all ways... Dream big my freind!
Of course, log stairs with either the same railing as the loft or some sort of iron ridge welded wire galvanized fence similar to cattle panels but smaller in diameter with pine rails and a gate or in the theme of the front door maybe wrought iron to help keep the critters out away from the front door. Anything you choose is going to look awesome as always, lol. Your dad would be so proud as all of us are. Great video once again, and thanks for sharing.
Your wealth of knowledge is immeasurable. I love to watch people build. That being said, watching your build from start to finish with just right amount of narrative is so enjoyable and for some reason so tranquil.
The first episode I watched was when you and your dad were dragging in the boulders and placing them for the cabin. What an amazing journey you’ve taken us on. Thank you and sr. Outsider.
Your craftsmanship in all things you do is beyond superb! I know you have given the credit to your father for teaching you, but I can't help but think he would be profoundly proud of the incredible job you do with each given task! Wanted to mention, too, that I truly appreciate your videography skills! All you do to bring the incredible chronicle of your cabin is simply a feast for our eyes! Thank you, Mr. O.! Am excited to see the finished design you've chosen for the porch!! Blessings.
It’s so impressive what you’ve accomplished..from dragging the boulders, drilling in them, to the beams sealer for the deck. Can’t help but think your dad is looking down from heaven and smiling. God bless!
I want to tell you, you do beautiful work. I applaud you to your attention to detail. I can hear your Dad now saying, Atta boy Son. You make him proud. Thanks for the video. Take care and GOD bless.
I'd add full length stairs across the front, to allow for plants and I'd screen it in to extend the living space. I'm out here cheering for you and your family!
Very brave to be working in the rain! But, I suppose it rains quite a bit up there. When we lived in Alaska, if you let rain or snow stop you from doing things, you’d never get anything done! Here in Arizona, we pray for rain!
Love the porch, it seems so simple to put together. The field stone was put there it is if your dad and grandfather knew you would use it. As far as the railing keep it as a reflection of the log cabin. So, stay safe, warm/cool, and blessings.
All continues to be finished to a very high standard. Trust you and your family are well and filled with faith. I’d make a railing that follows the shape of the present wood used on the cabin. I’d have stairs like the flooring, A certain simplicity is what makes this building elegant. It is simple rather than rustic.
Make the railings and posts similar to the ones you made for your loft. As for the steps, make the top step wider and have them go all the way across the deck. The rest of the steps should be in centered on the front door and be of a comfortable width and rise for you. So far I'm liking this deck and it's so good to see you back and building. Stay safe and be well, friend.
Deck spacing: I saw where a man decked his utility trailer with fresh milled planks. He butted the boards tight but when it dried the boards shrunk and spacing was perfect. I'm keeping that trick in my hat. Thanks for another great video.
Yay! The finishing touch has begun!! The railing would look fabulous if you make it much like the railing inside the cabin. The branches would look great especially if you make it of cedar. Long lasting and beautiful.
A black iron balusters to match the hardware on the door would look nice, but in reality it is your choice as you have a vision in your mind! Great build, been following since the beginning.
Wonderful to see you back at the cabin! Deck looks great and sturdy too I can picture your Dad standing there with a cup of coffee watching the sun waking woods around him.
Thanks for the Easter Egg of an opening. There are so many ways to accomplish a goal. Your practicality personifies ingenuity often absent from most of us.
First off..you are amazing..I love how you use your imagination and work hard.. My dad was a Carpenter and Macanic and if he didn't have a part..he would make one..he would work from sun up to sun down..RIP papa miss you every day.. Although your deck is so beautiful..my dream cabin would be a wrap around deck..for the stairs..Big.. God bless..your cabin is Beautiful!!! Be well..stay safe!
First, it's an awesome deck. Especially with the boulder foundation. Perfectly matches the house foundation. Since you've asked: I would do stairs left and right with a front railing. But you do you and I'm sure it'll look as awesome as the foundation.
I'm happy to see how many have mentioned your father .. we all know why! I think we are all proud of the simple elegant craftmanship you display! Great build! 🙂
I never try to imagine what comes next. Your designs and workmanship always exceed my expectations! The thought and preparation that go into your projects are beyond amazing.
I live far away in sunny South Africa but have followed your building of the cabin when I first came across it. Tremendous, stupendous are all I can say. God has blessed you abundantly with so much love for your family and your talent. I too am a Christian, of 74 years old, and hope your wife is completely and forever healthy for many, many years into the future. I too am looking to God to heal my son of 44 (if he survives to December 2024). He has inoperable brain tumours and the time left is short. Only God in his compassion and mercy is his only hope and while there is life there is hope. Keep building and I look forward to every episode.
I appreciate your craftsmanship and your attention to detail to build for aesthetics and for longevity. I loved the mitered corners of your fascia boards. Your daughter’s grandchildren will benefit from your builds. Appreciate you brother.
Watching you peel that cedar bark is as satisfyingly as peeling protective plastic film off stainless steel or a new TV 😀 If Norm Abram were to build a log cabin, it would look much like yours. You are clearly a fellow master at work.
Love the new deck so exciting to see the continued development of your forest home your family is so proud of all that you do for them. You channel your dad’s creative talents and energy 🥰
I would build a wide stair with natural branches for the railing. I would also somehow incorporate the names of your families especially your Dad. Maybe carve them in with your router. The deck already looks amazing. You are a tremendous craftsman and I so enjoy your channel❤
Whatever you do for railings will be fabulous, no doubt. My only contribution is to suggest you check your line-of-sight viewing angle while seated on the deck so that the top of the rail does not obscure the view.
So happy to see the porch. Will be exciting to see what you come up with for the stairs and railing. I am sure that Senior Outsider is so proud of all that you have accomplished thus far! Can hardly wait til the next episode.
What is an amazing job Mr outsider. The deck looks just gorgeous. You made my weekend this morning. I wait impatiently for your posts from weekend to weekend. Many thanks for sharing with us a piece of beauty and marvel in midst of a noisy and increasingly ugly times… this is really cheering up to watch the beauty and dedication in action. God bless and protect !!
For the railings, an idea would be using black wrought iron to match the front door black iron hardware. IDK if appropriate for that weather. Otherwise, regular tree branches as used of the back door. Great job! Congrats ! Always following your hard work. 👏
Like all of your craftsmanship, everything done right and to a T! It’s just beautiful! I wouldn’t want to suggest anything for you, you’re the best at picking out what you want for your cabin. Can’t wait to see what you choose! Love from Georgia 🇺🇸 U.S.A.
It’s been a minute-I know you’re busy with a family and a full time job. But I don’t want you to think you’re not missed and I look for your next episode every day. Thank you for your God given skill being put to work.
Well, you made quick work of that. Changing topics to Tin-tin. I remember one spring I was at my camp and came across a coyote. The animal didn't seem to be afraid of me. We got about 10 feet apart before it moved off to my left. I turned around and returned to my camp. The coyote followed me at a distance of about 10 feet. All summer long this coyote would follow me on the lawn tractor as I mowed the lawn. Different. I have no explanation for it but there it was, supervising me to ensure I did a good job of mowing the lawn.
Please consider selling your series to the public in a bundle of the build. And you can go year by year and the add to the collection later. IT’s educational
As always, great work. I would put the stairs on the side but go full width of the deck. For the railings, I think using the same theme as the railings inside and to match the back epoxy door. An alternative would be to use wrought iron to match the iron in the front door. Either choice would look great. Love the channel and the work you and your late father have done. Keep it up!
Another fantastic video, this is hands down the best cabin build on UA-cam. Do the branches for your railing like you did in the loft, that will look like a million $$$.
Make the porch railing like you did in the loft. I am sure that whatever railing you do put on the porch will definitely not disappoint. Keep up the good work. God bless my friend
Good afternoon from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Your front porch turned out nicely. I really enjoy watching your UA-cam videos. Thanks for sharing your build with us. 🇺🇸
That Mr. Outsider is 1 awesome looking deck and personally, I love the natural wood look on it. Stay safe and I've loved watching your journey from the start til now. Continued prayers for Mrs Outsider's continued good health.
Outsider the deck looks amazing your dad would be very proud of you! I sure do miss him he & I used to chat a lot, hopefully I'll see him again someday in heaven. God Bless you your wife and daughter & family. I can't wait to see the railings on the porch when you're done. My personal opinion I think a miniature log configuration to match the cabin would look great. Or wroth iron railings to match the huge Door 🚪 you and Senior outsider built would also be awesome 😎, GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER IN CHRIST ✝️.
To keep the mosquitoes and gnats from bothering you rub some Tiger Balm around your ears, back of your neck, elbows and wrists. It work!!! Absolutely LOVE what and how you do a build. Thank you.
Its always great to watch your episodes, one after another. I'll never use any of the skills you possess but watching you and your dad, and now you, always gives me great a feeling that the two of you have and are doing something great. Looking forward to your next chapters...

Natural railings made from found materials.
When are you going to put the railing up on the porch? I'm really excited to watch you build it, you're the best builder I've ever watched.
I'm so proud of you, baby!! Great work!! ❤
❤
Agree! Hope you're doing fine, Mrs. Outsider!
God bless.
I hope the whole family is fine. Stay safe and God bless!!!😊
Looks amazing! My suggestion for the railings is to mimic what you did in the loft with the natural branch railing.
I second this suggestion. Exactly what I was thinking.
Same!
My thoughts exactly!!!!
I like this idea !!
Agreed
Showcasing your dad’s beautiful front door. A tribute to his hard work and memory. May he RIP.
I just watched the last video and found out about your Dad. I am so very sorry for your loss 😢 My heart goes out for you and your family. ❤
I am now watching the one finishing up the inside, your Dad is so proud of you, looking down at you with love 🙂
Happy to see the front porch going up. You're father prepared supplies for your journey and will always be watching over everything you do. God Bless you and your family.

I said a prayer for David's speedy recovery. God bless!
The power of this kind of genuine content means so much to so many people. God bless you.
God bless you and your family during this difficult time. My prayers and those of many more are coming your way.
Thats nice about those rocks. Looks like your pop is still helping out. I started watching about 2 mos. before you dads passing and I cried too. Sorry for your loss but I know the LORD is with you always. With love and respect from my heart.
Much appreciated, my friend. 🙂🙏 God bless.
Your camera skills are consistently improving man! As soon as I see your video appear, i click 🙂
I agree regardless of the duration between videos my interest not only remains, but grows stronger. The cabin is a truly organic and faithful homage to your father and your wife and daughter. Wishing you many years of joy.
Love the boulders wish I had some big granite like that at my place
I love you man, stay with it. I’m praying your family has a long and happy life there.
Thank you, my friend. 🙂🙏 God bless.

I won't be at all surprised if he builds railings and stairs similar to the railings and stairs to the loft.
Much appreciated, my friend. I'm never insulted by creative people and their ideas. Helps to keep me creative too. All the best!
Rails made from galvanized steel. Called Steel Louver Railing. You can make the vertical, like a picket fence made out of louvers
Around time stamp 14:00 you could hear a racoon in the forest. I have to say Mr. Outsider, you are one talented and innovative dude!
Good ear! Yes, there was a racoon mama with her babies in a hollow of one of the maples behind me.
You never cease to amaze with your creativity. As I have stated before, simply a piece of art. God Bless.
Putting a camera in the top of the tree?
👍🏻PRICELESS! ✨🤗✨
Ha ha thank you! It was fun putting it up there. 😅
Assembling a porch like assembling a wardrobe from Ikea, perfect!
As long as it lasts longer than an Ikea wardrobe, then I'll be happy. 😄👍
Mr Outsider always gets a thumbs up from me! Great video as always!
Still the most beautiful cabin on UA-cam! You are a true artist and craftsman, my friend. Been watching since the beginning. Love your channel.

As much as you miss your dad I miss him too but he is with the lord and we will be also. God bless you brother!
What a great addition to the cabin.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again… The craftsmanship that you do is absolutely spectacular. Another fantastic project. Good job.
I'd add full length stairs across the front, to allow for plants and I'd screen it in to extend the living space. I'm out here cheering for you and your family!
You’re doing a great job. Your dad would be proud of you and you can be proud of yourself 👍😊
looks beautiful. the wax tip will come in handy for a lot of people I'm sure.
Very brave to be working in the rain! But, I suppose it rains quite a bit up there. When we lived in Alaska, if you let rain or snow stop you from doing things, you’d never get anything done! Here in Arizona, we pray for rain!

All gnarly wood from your property for rails, etc.
All continues to be finished to a very high standard. Trust you and your family are well and filled with faith. I’d make a railing that follows the shape of the present wood used on the cabin. Do you mean the top step like a "skirt/bench" around the deck?
@@rq7179 Yes. It can serve a great place to just sit and enjoy the view.
@@reneeparker7475 That would work great because the deck looks a little thick right now.
I’d like to think of those rocks as another contribution by your father to a strong foundation in your life! 🙏🏻
Deck spacing: I saw where a man decked his utility trailer with fresh milled planks. He butted the boards tight but when it dried the boards shrunk and spacing was perfect. I'm keeping that trick in my hat. Thanks for another great video.
I can't wait to see what's to come. Your imagination and craftsmanship is amazing. Much love to the entire outsider family.
❤ Nice work as always! Your dad is proud every day.
Channeling the rocks is so smart I never would of thought of that
So glad to see the start of the porch, and the rock for the strength and stability. God bless you and your family.
It’s Memorial Day for us in the US. Happy Summer Outsider Junior!
🌞🌞🌞
Yay! The finishing touch has begun!! The railing would look fabulous if you make it much like the railing inside the cabin. The branches would look great especially if you make it of cedar. Long lasting and beautiful.
Love the boulders! Your attention to detail (mitering the last boards) is top-notch, as usual!
You should do the railing just like the ones in side upstairs yes
Beautiful. You are so talented and live in a beautiful area with all you need to build. God Bless all.
First off..you are amazing..I love how you use your imagination and work hard..
My dad was a Carpenter and Macanic and if he didn't have a part..he would make one..he would work from sun up to sun down..RIP papa miss you every day..

God bless..your cabin is Beautiful!!! Be well..stay safe!
Good to see a video from you Outsider, I hope and have been praying your family is well and will continue to do so.
GOD BLESS !!!
The front porch looks amazing, I know your dad would have been very proud, thanks for sharing
First, it's an awesome deck. Especially with the boulder foundation. Perfectly matches the house foundation.
Since you've asked: I would do stairs left and right with a front railing. But you do you and I'm sure it'll look as awesome as the foundation.
Every job you do is top notch. You never take shortcuts
I'm happy to see how many have mentioned your father .. we all know why! I think we are all proud of the simple elegant craftmanship you display! Great build! 🙂
Outsider Saturday! Woot-woot

We all know someone that would be proud how you finishing the cabine you built together...We all keep is memory when we watch you ..Dont stop
Hey, I vote for a wraparound deck...at least on one side of the cabin going from front door to back door!
I appreciate your craftsmanship and your attention to detail to build for aesthetics and for longevity. I loved the mitered corners of your fascia boards. Your daughter’s grandchildren will benefit from your builds. Appreciate you brother.
Watching you peel that cedar bark is as satisfyingly as peeling protective plastic film off stainless steel or a new TV 😀
If Norm Abram were to build a log cabin, it would look much like yours. You are clearly a fellow master at work.
I love the wax protection solution, that's pretty brilliant. I look forward to seeing what you do in way of stairs etc. Thanks for sharing.
Nice to meet you and make friends with people who share the same hobby of sharing videos every day
Love the new deck so exciting to see the continued development of your forest home your family is so proud of all that you do for them.

For the railings, an idea would be using black wrought iron to match the front door black iron hardware. IDK if appropriate for that weather. Otherwise, regular tree branches as used of the back door. Great job! Congrats ! Always following your hard work. 👏
Very nice workmanship on the new deck. It looks great on the front of the cabin. Stay safe my friend.
Master Craftsman. I am always amazed how his ideas turn out. I know, after all this I shouldn’t be anymore, but still am. Beautiful deck. Well done. 😊
Thanks for the video Mr. Outsider!

My vote for railing is whatever you decide upon. 👍👍👍
First off this would never be my deck, because you and pops are masters of the log building art. What a beautiful work of art!
Great job! I've watched from the beginning. That porch sets the whole cabin off. Pray one for another.
I love watching people work while eating ice cream
Fair enough. 👍😄
You are making your dad very happy!
gorgeous deck! While it was raining, I was thinking that a rain catchment system would be a good next project
Keep it up!
Outstanding!! I know your father is looking down with a proud smile!!!
Another fantastic video, this is hands down the best cabin build on UA-cam. Do the branches for your railing like you did in the loft, that will look like a million $$$.
Now THAT is a thing of beauty! Your Dad will always be watching over you and your family and helping out. God Bless!!!!
Make the porch railing like you did in the loft. I am sure that whatever railing you do put on the porch will definitely not disappoint. Keep up the good work. God bless my friend
Thank you brother for your update, perfect👏Your dad will be very proud😇💕🇬🇧
I am amazed at your skills in building things on your cabin. It is always a good seeing you build something. Thank you
