      My local dealership here had a $12K markup on top of overpriced accessories. They had all weather mats for $2,800 alone! At the end it was around $61K. For that money I'd rather get a Supra if you could get it at MSRP which I'm sure is impossible for most.

      Just give it more time for the hype to die down. I bought my 2019 FK8 for MSRP when they had 2 Black ones sitting on the showroom floor. If not selling for reasonable price in my area,I’m not opposed to the idea of flying out of state and driving/shipping it home. Airline ticket is a lot cheaper than dealer markups!😁👍

      @@davetc02 they need to let us do a direct sale with the intentions to purchase the vehicle. A constant stream of money is better than having overpriced cars sitting on their lots waiting for a desperate buyer to come by.

    Most headlights, since they've switched to Leds, are excellent today. This Civic has a nice bright and wide beam pattern.
    But some cars still have a rather poor beam pattern and that's why i wish car reviewers would include at least a nightime picture of how the headlights perform.

    @Offensively-normal Рік тому +11

    I would be looked at sideways climbing out of the R. Especially in my 55+ neighborhood. They are already suspicious from the Civic ST I came home with last year. The type S might slip under their radar.

      Don’t let that deter you. If you want a Type R,get one! I owned 2 FK8 Type Rs and I’m 57. I like the styling of the FL5 and the Type S but I think for myself I’d lean more towards the Type R…very clean lines as opposed to the Type S that has some of that FK8 tacked on rear fender well action. Just my 2 cents but get what makes you happy…life’s way too short!😁👍

    Just picked up a Championship White Type R a little over a week ago. I was never really tempted away by the Acura (or GR) because of the cheap tacked on body cladding over the rear wheels/fenders. Absolutely ruins both cars aesthetics IMO. Out of all 3 choices the Type R is simply more imposing looking (especially in person) and the rear fenders are real not plastic after thoughts. Either way it drives like a dream and has grip for days. Great little zippy car that puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it.

    Liked on vid for Kirk... not sure I could care any less about the Honda Civic Type R these days. Especially at that MSRP, where I live when they're available they want $52k and that point I'll just get a Supra or a GR. Rather have a GR, don't even care about the difference in interior when it comes to the performance. Also not sure long term I'd be fan of the EarthDreams Turbo, very disappointed in this gen Si. Think Honda has lost me. I have had three Civics, four in the family and I'll just go back to Toyota.

    I love the Type-R and Acura Integra type-S. However, Honda marks them up buy $7,000 each over MSRP! Yeah, I don't play that game. Honda can keep both of their products for that mark-up! They play so many consumers as FOOLS. Such a shame that people cave into their childish desires. How fast is this to 60mph and quarter mile compared to the 2 liter Supra. I agree to a point. Type Rs are definitely slow off the line which is pretty frustrating when it’s a performance car. I understand that it’s more for tracking/canyon carving but I personally can’t sign off on a non-manual that is very fast yes…but doesn’t have a V-8 rumble that I grew up on. I will eventually buy an electric car when I have to buy but there are still so many fun options to drive out there. I would still need to row my own gears for that experience alone…
