Been following you for a while and really intrigued with your knowledge. Question, I have 2 spots in planting. I planted in spring and it failed. Planted Hot Chic and Comeback Kid. Near Mora, Louisiana. I limed and fertilized the first time but too much rain and everything failed. Food plot #1: is about .25 acres in a back woods food plot near a creek bottom. Pretty wet but it’s dried up now. Also a good amount of shade but we opened it up a bit when clearing it. Rained a ton over the last few months. Domain said I should do No Bs in that one this time. I want a clover plot and possibly chicory. Thinking of mixing comeback kid or hot chic with cereal rye and plant 2nd week of September (depending on weather). Food plot #2: is about 2-2.5 acres. It’s a turkey foot style setup but gets full sun compared to the first food plot. Domain recommended either green machine, sugar momma or big sexy. Again, I want to do a clover plot but wanted to know your opinion. Want to add cereal rye to this one as well. Thoughts on both of these? White ladino clover on #1 with cereal rye due to the shade or should I go with No BS or comeback kid/hot chic? #2 in all ears as well. Thank you!
We got 83 days here in ohio. I dont care alot about opening day just cause it is so warm. Altho on our property we do have alot of day time patterned bucks. I love waiting for those 1st major clld fronts to get out. Bit maybe if i got a good buck on cam and hes there alot ill go in after him

Yeah here in Maryland opening day usually is about 90 lol. But there’s always that chance. I try to tough it out
