Sorry guys. The B-Line should be going to Newport - well actually, it should have never been created to begin with, but that's beside the point. Maybe you feel differently when you have to drive halfway to the city to find a place to park to get on the B-Line. You think any of the Mona Vale residents wanted it?

What about all the Newport residents that work in the City or intermediate locations? Don't they deserve a better transport service to get to work? Newport is the logical place to end the B-line service as the population density thins out when you go past Newport Beach.

Really? Newport has 9,036 residents while Avalon has 10,602. Given your reasoning wouldn't it be more logical to end the line at Avalon? There is much more space available... or why not Palmy? Newport doesn't make any sense with the beach, the shops the main road and the suggested terminus all on top of each other. I have seen the plan which doesn't impress, with that roundabout jammed into the narrow road.... like a snake trying to swallow an apple. Can buses really negotiate that? And can we truly believe no trees will be damaged or removed in the process? And where are all the cars going to park that have driven down from the rest of the peninsula? Is Newport to become like Collaroy? Where local residents struggle to park at the beach during the week because the carpark is full of park & ride cars.
And finally..... why did they originally tell us they were terminating the B-line at Mona Vale if there wasn't adequate parking? In light of that why should we believe anything they say?

Thank you - Mona Vale is the logical solution for the B-Line terminus, and surely the existing Bus depot could be part of this.

I say stop all buses travelling through Newport altogether. The place will be a lot quieter. Instead, add a dedicated bus lane al the way to Mona Vale and they can have more bike racks there. The end result is a healthier community.

Good video. However the government need to see Exactly how chaotic the strip is already especially in the summer time. Addition of a dedicated bus lane or as first suggested just more buses Will inevitably result in gridlock! God help anyone who requires an emergency vehicle north of Beaconsfield Street to Palm Beach if this insanity goes ahead!
Not to mention the death of Newport Market day which is held in the proposed terminus!
Plus the end to the pub to pub fun run which now finishes at the surf club (Who rely on activities like this for income) is now destined to be a terminus/bus stop.
How important is this thing? Is it more important than the heart and soul of our community?
    I say NO!!!!
