You did such a good job! Loved you using your foot to hold the wood down lol. We did a feature wall with wood. We primed the wood before we attached it to the wall. Might save some time for the next round
Next time you should prime and paint the strips first . Makes it so much easier and neater than having to brush all the corners. You may still have to do some minor touching up😁
Wow, this came out awesome! Brave girl doing all that glueing without a drop cloth on the floor! A couple of years ago I did some home renovations and needless to say I had to buy a new carpet after a tragic accident with light blue paint. 😩 Hubby still won’t let me live it down and literally everything I do he asks where’s the drop cloth haha
I just came across your channel--the room looks beautiful! Two questions: 1) Why did you decide to attach the MDF boards before (priming, then) painting them? If you could do it over again, would you prime and paint them first, or would you stick with your method of gluing, then priming and then painting? 2) Did you have to caulk (sp?) the area between the boards and the wall? I'm renting and am wondering if it's necessary, or if I can get away with only caulking the areas between the panels themselves, avoiding the walls altogether. Ok, I lied, one more question! 3) Did you consider painting the MDF boards a different color, or adding color (either paint or wallpaper) inside the square panels? Why or why not? Thanks again, you guys made it look easy, though I'm sure it was more challenging!
When l did my bedroom l decided to seal all the lengths first, then paint them before putting them up, my house is 100 years old so the walls are not true, so l had to cut them at different widths to give me a true level . But it looks great, thank you for the idea 👍🇬🇧
Just an idea, do you think it migh have helped to prime all the panel stripes before putting them on the wall? (As in all laid flat on a table, sides as well?)
Are your walls solid brick/masonry walls or plasterboard walls? Just curious as I want to add paneling to my solid brick walls and want to use adhesive only. Not sure if it will hold up without any nails/screws?
Hi, you can used a sponge to apply the coulk e little water and going to be prefer another thing you are quite pretty so everything going to be pretty 😊.
Love it, You are a superwoman 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻 Thank good I have extra time right now 😊 I already see my hubby’s face when I’m going to tell him about some “small diy” 😂
Greta job and good explanations and demonstrations but I have one point to make. Your addition to reach £40:is way off. £30 + £7 for MDF but then you have to add the £5 for caulk the £10 for adhesive, plus the primer and tools. I think you’re closer to £70. Still a massive saving though.
Where is Paddy from as I am originally from Portstewart but now living in Melbourne Australia, the Best place on planet Earth well one of the best places
Is so annoying how houses are in the Uk they’re never properly levelled , I believe I will have the same problem as I am renovating my property as I had with my laminate flooring
Looks nice but not something I would think I would do cos I like to change things and to remove the panelling when u no longer want that style your going to have to plaster the walls when the no nails rip it off
Amazing job! I was holding my breath watching u climb up and down and getting everything done. Really, really awesome, considering your pregnancy 🤰 Was also smiling cos u were using make up terms like primer and finishing out the edges 😄 Well done again on a beautiful job!
Definitely going to do this ❤🏠its so easy and has so much impact😍 I only have one question if you live on a rent is there a possibility that you could do the paneling and get it out without ruining the wall? I guess not but I wanted to ask...
Love your video! It’s inspired my mum to redo her bedroom and we’re making it our Easter project. Your wall measurements look similar to ours. What width did you get each panel cut? And in total many boxes does your wall have?

your toddler's smile made me smile!!

But then you’d still need to go over the chaulking with your paint
@@Kayla-lz6ry it would still be easier and she just said there might be minor touch-ups.

Finally found your beautiful 🤩 work which explains in £ not $ , seriously I am in love to do this project .
I’m planning on doing this onto a false wall with sound insulation behind it to help curb noise from next door. That’s a very tidy job too. Well done.
I was just about to mention to prime the wood before fitting it to the wall. 👌🏼 love the improv on the mastic gun haha
Great job, looks awesome and lovely finish 👍
Wow, what a fabulous job you made of this. Well done.
Hello, please could you tell me the width of the MDF that you chose? Are they 7cm? Thankyou x

LOVEEE this video, please more DIY !!!!!! LURVE xxxxx
Nicely done 🙌 Looks amazing & gives the room some depth.
Hey Elanna, it looks amazing you are so patient & talented, it really elevates the look of the room 👌🥰🧡
Well done Brilliant stuff !
Hey girl, where did you buy all your products 😊
I have a question, at B&Q if you go with the measurements they can cut the MDF for you? Would love to do this 🥰
Yes, I've been so excited to see this video!! Looks amazing 😍 I will definitely have to try this
Great job Elanna. Good measuring Patrick ! Loving the new armpit caulking gun approach 😀
Looks fantastic. Clean and sophisticated!

I love this so much! And I love that you did this pretty much by yourself!! Go Elanna!
Have the panels held up with just the liquid nails? I see others use liquid nails and a nail gun.
Wow! Completely lifts the room. Love it.
Using the wood for measuring tools was smart.
If I was to paint my room navy colour, would I still need the primer ??
Does your wall have a little texture? Mine has a little and I'm afraid it won't blend in with the boards after painting well.
Amazing job. Well done. Can you pls let me know how thick the MDF sheet you used? (6mm or 9mm) Thanks a lot.
Just an idea, do you think it migh have helped to prime all the panel stripes before putting them on the wall? (As in all laid flat on a table, sides as well?)
Thanks so much for posting! I am going to try something similar in our hallway and am a little nervous. hopefully it will turn out as good as yours! x
Would you advise priming the MDF boards first before gluing?
How how did you paint it? Did you paint the wood and wall with emulsion or gloss etc?
Hey Elanna, which B&Q store in the UK did you go to? My local store is advising that they are only doing 4 cuts per sheet.
Are your walls solid brick/masonry walls or plasterboard walls? Just curious as I want to add paneling to my solid brick walls and want to use adhesive only. Not sure if it will hold up without any nails/screws?
What’s the wood called again please so I know what to get?
Hi, you can used a sponge to apply the coulk e little water and going to be prefer another thing you are quite pretty so everything going to be pretty 😊.
Fantastic job! It totally elevated the look of the room!
B & Q in Australia is Bunnings . Very helpful video. thanks
I like it , well done. How much did it end up costing
It looks great!!
I love this! My brother did something similar to his daughter's room. But you doing makes me feel like I could do it too! Absolutely love it 💕
Hi, could I ask what measurements are the mdf planks in width and depth? Thanks.
The depth is 12mm but she didn’t mention the width.. I would hazard a guess at 70mm width 😊
Brilliant! You made it look easy but I know it was tedious. Well done 👍😘
Yay! I’ve been waiting for this!! ♥️
Saw it on your Instagram and I’m obsessed!!
Love it, You are a superwoman 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
Thank good I have extra time right now 😊
I already see my hubby’s face when I’m going to tell him about some “small diy” 😂
I just wondered how wide you had yhe lengths cut and what thickness mdf did you need please
That looks AMAZING Elanna! Looking forward to more DIY's 🧡
The little prices of wood you used in the squares as you were doing it, what were they from?
Amazing , I love that the video is very straight forward , cutting the s off lol And I’m off to B&Q lol
A no more nails pusher lol, so cute xx

I'm going to prime before cutting

Nice measuring Paddy. You managed to hit the socket and get the wall runout wrong. Don’t give up your day job!!
Great job, Elanna! I looks terrific.
So you didn't use any nails just glue?
Thank you for making this!! soon to move into a new home that has plane walls and I wanted to do some accent walls, hopefully I can do this in a room!
Great video. How much did b and q charge for the cutting out of all the pieces?
They do 15 for free and 50 pence for every additional one
Love, love it! And I now I'm inspired! What's the paint color your used?
Getting the primed mdf would have made your life a lot easier
Looks amazing 😍 you would never know it was a DIY job xx
Wow - looks amazing!! Well done!
That looks GREAT!! Awesome job! Thank you for sharing
Did you mention the width of the strips you used?? mm
You did an excellent job, well done 👍
Why didnt you mention its all brought from BnQ pre cut
What thickness of MDF did you use?
I did not catch any of that. What? Where am i?
Can you share the formula your husband used please to be able to work out measurements x
I love this! Where did you get those green pants??
Amazing transformation!!! Love your videos!!!
Could I ask what paint color you are using?
Whats if the formula you used?
Someone didn’t do the maths ..The smaller squares would absolutely do my head in .considering I didn’t see a level good job 👍
You clever girl! Absolutely love it!!
Hi
What width did you get the MDF planks cut to?
I’ve just come here looking for this too....take it we’ll never know 🤷🏻♀️
@@crazylazyadhd4692 I have not long finished our panelling and we got a 12mm sheet of MDF cut down into 3inch strips

Looks incredible!!

I just watched a UA-cam video that showed that the blue can wreck the walls if you pull the panelling off. Better to screw on if not permanent. 😊
@@marthawalshwalah6445 Thank you for the advice🤗!
This is awesome. If only you could do mine for me 🙈🙈🙈. Will attempt this though - hope I can get it as perfect as yours
it looks amazing! 💕
How much was all the wood?
Well done Elanna! Supernice 💕
