It gave me s1 vibes and I love it.
So much food for thought ... Especially Chloe's thoughts that they were doing if for *THEIR* daughter Rory and that their few decades of separation were only a blink of an eye compared to eternity. Of course, it was not only for Rory, but also to fulfill Lucifer's calling and, ultimately, to benefit all of humanity confined in hell! (Personally, had the circumstances been different, I'm convinced that Lucifer would have done the same for Trixie! ) _"I hope you know that I would do _*_ANYTHING_*_ to protect that little urchin!"_ The ending does highlight the *ASTOUNDING* _DeckerStar_ character development. Lucifer and Chloe from Season 1 would have *FREAKED* (or laughed hysterically) if faced with these dilemmas! Chloe: _"What? He really is the devil and I'm going to _*_INSIST_*_ on going to hell with him? We're going to fall in love? Have a child together? And then sacrifice our next several decades of happiness together for that child?"_
The ending was perfect. It was a bittersweet ending for sure, but it's the only way that makes sense. If Luci went to see Chloe in her deathbed, then Rory wouldn't even be able to time travel to the past to find out the reason why Luci left her and Chloe for years. It's just the time paradox that happens in many shows and movies; something will need to happen in the future in order to trigger what happened in the past. It's complicated, but not totally none sense. All 3 of them shared moments together to compensate what Rory had missed during the time Luci was in Hell healing the damned souls. This ending is not for everyone, but those who have been with Lucifer from the very beginning (2016) like me felt that this is just right.
I took the whole "you can't come visit" not as something that was because of the time paradox but because 1) time passes incredibly quickly in Hell and if he's gone for even a day hundreds of years go by and likely cause the souls he's helping to fall back in to their hell loops, and 2) the likelihood that Luci could only "visit for a weekend" without wanting to stay for years is unlikely. He had to stay or else he'd be tempted to leave Hell again.
@@FacelessJester351 That is one good perspective you have there. The temptation of wanting to stay on Earth would ruin the whole helping those lost souls in Hell is not a farfetched idea.
I disagree completely, this season was just as good as the previous 5 for me, it tied everything up and completed the overall story which I thought needed to happen, for me there was a final story that needed to be addressed within Lucifer as a character and that was being a father, Aurora embodied that arc and with it completed and both he and Chloe living in the afterlife together for eternity that’s really the only way it could end imo
I agree to a point I just hate that after everything Lucifer has been through he had to miss everything he wasn’t allowed to come up and visit Chloe and his daughter. He had to go back and rule hell which he’s never wanted this entire show has been wanting to escape that fate finally. Amenadiel is allowed to come and go he still got watch his child grow up while doing his job Lucifer should of been allowed to do the same. I just wish they had been able to find away for him to still be there while ruling hell.

Who knows -- maybe Rory is even jealous of Trixie for having had a privilege that she herself was denied -- time spent with Lucifer, fond memories, getting to know him, etc. By the time of Lucifer's disappearance, he had been in nearly half of Trixie's life! @@darkcrazybeautiful89 I think the difference is that Lucifer is still all about freedom, even what he's doing in Hell isn't "ruling" it, its counciling it so that the souls can free themselves from their torture. I get what you're saying but this season is basically a farewell season and if you look at this way it's perfect. The ending is the best thing for me, I couldn't imagine a better ending especially with that song. It fits really well for Lucifer's life.
I the opposite I loved season 6. We knew it was the final season and we knew at the end of the day either Lucifer was going to be god and it’s goodbye or something happens. I wasn’t expecting crazy twists and turns and action and etc I was expecting tie up loose ends answer the questions and a proper goodbye. This season was emotional and this season delivered on the nostalgia and the feels. Lucifer got to find out his true purpose in why God created him and he got to be with Chloe for eternity. Lucifer hated hell because he had to be in charge of overseeing the punishment of all these tormented souls but now he gets to help them escape so hell (especially with Chloe) shouldn’t be such a bad place especially since Lucifer can make it anyway he wants since he made Linda’s office there. Rory gets to come anytime she wants to visit and being close with God either Trixie can visit or both Lucifer and Chloe can go to heaven. It tied all loose ends the inner circle once all of them die will be reuniting in either hell or heaven cause Amenadiel can make it happen and Lucifer and Chloe are together. The end.
Some people didn’t like the ending but I actually was fine with it. Lucifer development was complete and I liked that he became the person that helped people and gave them guidance the way Linda gave him as not only his therapist but friend. The only thing I wish we could’ve seen was an older Trixie but overall I liked the last season and liked the series finale. I’m going to miss Lucifer so much, so many amazing characters and it has become one of my comfort shows
Mere speculation, but Lucifer did re-create Linda's office in hell. Ever wonder where he lived on his _"time off"?_ His penthouse? I can easily imagine a re-creation of ... *APARTMENT 103!* Between that and Penelope Decker's house, he had so many pleasant memories! The penthouse would just have seemed so *LONELY!* Just like his old throne, as Chloe so aptly pointed out! And that scene where Lucifer and Chloe were on hell's throne kissing ... I wonder if they were *BOTH* imagining it? It would certainly have been food for thought for Chloe after the way she distanced herself from Lucifer while processing -Michael's- __ whole _"gift from God"_ bombshell. I'm especially remembering Lucifer's line _"I spent _*_thousands of years in hell_*_ imagining our reunion."_ Chloe must have recalled it with *sadness* when she saw the throne.
Remember, this really _was_ a bonus season! They originally planned to have only five seasons, and the decision to add a sixth was made _very_ late. The impression I got is that they felt some of the secondary characters got short-changed by the original season 5. Which totally fits--season 6 feels padded, and not well-thought-out, but it gave us Maze's wedding and the look in Ella's eyes when she saw Amenadiel fly, and to me, that makes it worth it. Plus, we got Rory, who was pretty awesome, even if her story was a bit wonky. :)
Season 6 was my favourite season of this entire show! It just tied everything together so perfectly and truly felt like a celebration to the whole show and it's characters, it was great. The only nitpick I have is I would have liked it to be a little longer and a bit more Trixie overall. But outside of that in my opinion it was a perfect season.
The first time I watched episode 10, I was somewhat disappointed. But when I thought about what I saw, I realized that there is simply no better ending. Lucifer is not about power, not about becoming a God or something. It's about healing: turning yourself into something better. Lucifer was a selfish, self-centered, irresponsible and frivolous and narcissistic teenager, incapable of responsibility. Later, he met Chloe and wanted to become vulnerable next to her. And this vulnerability allowed him to reveal the greatest power in himself: to bring light to people. Just think about it: the earthly happiness of Maze, the family happiness of Eve, the inner peace of Aminadiel, the love for Chloe, and the love of relatives for his daughter. Lucifer went from an irresponsible child to someone who: can sacrifice his love for the sake of his beloved (he stayed in Hell to restrain Demons); can be strong to protect love (return of invulnerability next to chloe); is ready to take responsibility for others (I entered the war with Mikhail not for the sake of power, but in order not to let him fall into his hands); is ready to sacrifice myself for love (I gave my life, burned in Paradise for Chloe); can become a Husband and Father. And in the end, he can become Samael, the Bringer of Light, the Healer of Hell. And for this, he gets his main reward: the only one with whom he would like to spend eternity.
The cases has always been the weakest part of the show for me and something I never cared about so this season was perfect for me lol. And while the ending was bittersweet and Chloe had to live the rest of her life without Lucifer, I thiught it was the perfect ending and I loved it. Now they can be together for eternity and also help people ❤❤❤ And the piano scene is perfection 👌🏻💔❤
I get what you're saying. The fact that it was part mystery and part fantasy for me meant that it never really got to be the best in either one aspect, because when I think of a mystery/crime/comedy show, I think Castle or something like that, and I start thinking that it was never as good as that and then there are so many other fantasy shows that it doesn't hold a candle to, I think it suffered from that duality of being a procedural crime and then fantasy show that it never truly got to be the best at either one of those. When I look back, I think I ultimately kept coming back for Lucifer himself as a character and as an actor, because of how he portrayed, he was brilliant, but nothing or no one else, everything else eventually felt mediocre. The characters were good and I think they made the show worth it, but other than that there was no compelling story, and only one person was really carrying the show. I think S5 was where they were at their best and they should've just made it so that it ended there. If they hadn't made it a procedural crime show, I think it would have been a better show, that's why I think they should've just adapted the actual story from the DC Comics, as it was, because that would've been a much better story, the Lucifer there is much more compelling, intelligent, more powerful and his stories are much better. Either way, I'll always remember this show, if only for Tom Ellis' Lucifer. Sorry if this is an unpopular opinion to anyone who reads this but I don't care, it's what I think and feel
About the _"police procedural"_ part of the show's genré ... I find it interesting that I can rewatch the series multiple times, anticipating the key _DeckerStar_ turning points, and yet manage to forget who actually committed the murder being investigated! I'll see Lucifer show up to _"work"_ with his _"orgy pants",_ watch that stakeout scene where Chloe speaks with Lucifer, he starts snoring, then she tells him how she *really* feels ... then the _"better man / at work"_ car scene ... and forget it was *Julian* responsible!
I expected that end (as God or as the Devil), not the drama in between. But, to me, I am a bit sad we got some plot holes about time travel and if he visited them somehow. The showrunners said probably he saw them from afar, exchanged messages somehow, probably he saw Chloe in secret, and he also hold Rory. Also, there are a few scenes deleted, like there were more people in the scene of the old Chloe and an extended version of the finale. Showrunners and cast want to make a movie or a spin-off, I think they are waiting for our opinions, fan arts and fanfics.
I was expecting that Rory was somehow responsible for Lucifers death which would have explained why Chloe wouldn't tell her what happened to him. Glad they went another way.
I liked this season very much but understand your mixed feelings. When I finished, it take, I think, about 2 or 3 days to me to feeling better and understand/accept better the end.
I agree with most of the comments here that I wanted this season to be a goodbye, didn't feel the need for any craziness. + remember that this season was filmed during Covid so a lot of stuff just could happen
Reese and Le Mech in that final scene, along with a _"rando"..._ He could have done worse! Imagine Lucifer having a session with, let's say ... *Malcolm Graham* or the guy who killed Chloe's dad ... or ... even ... -Eve's oldest son- _!_
@@JUSTNELLA I guess I didn't recognize her due to the age difference. Well, Lucifer *DID* warn her that there was _"a special place in hell for bullies"._
It couldn't really be the same as the others tho could it, the whole season was literally about tying up loose ends which not many shows get chance to do. Making Lucifer a dad kinda brings a show which has been based on the main characters daddy issues, full circle. These shows never feel quite the same anyway when they're wrapping up because your saying goodbye
The only loose end they didn't tie up was where Trixie was when Chloe was dying. Maybe she lived across the country with her family and was enroute, or her flight got delayed . . .
They spent the entire season wrapping up the show most shows they truck on like nothing has changed and then ram the whole wrapping up of the story into the last 1 or 2 episode they used the entire last season to do that i like that.
The issue is that this season didn't feel like its own season. It very much felt like an extension of the story set in motion in season 5 with him on the path of becoming God. They threw in the future child storyline for added weight. To give this season a reason to exist. In all honesty with a few tweaks to the overall story, they could have added episodes to season 5 and make it all part of the same season. But that doesn't mean this wasn't a good season but it definitely wasn't on the same level as season 5.
@@Drummer4President There was a theory or speculation that adult Trixie became an astronaut and died at the age of 30. At the corner of Chloe's bed, there's a pic of older Trixie as an astronaut.

I can actually somewhat agree that there was something about this season that was off ASIDE from it being a final season. Like I feel while there was some resolution in some cases there was some unresolution in others- it was a very Rory focused season and not knocking that story arch but you also had Trixie who never ever really finds out the whole truth. Not that her finding out was important but considering she was a factor in the show that helped Lucifer evolve is kinda baffling. Also and this was NEVER addressed but what if Lucifer DID follow through of becoming God and Chloe joined him by his side- where would that have left Trixie?? Like her mom goes with her boyfriend and she leaves her daughter on earth?? I just feel that it was a rushed season and some The weren't crossed as well It's weren't dotted.
according to an inteview with the showrunners Joe&Ildy Trixie did know since season 1 episode 1 when she met him. Remember Trixie said"Lucifer never lies"+her reaction to the ring story "The ring has Lilith´s immortality in it?"+she draw Lucifer always as devil+she was/is clever enough to know that Maze did not paint her half-demon mask(Monster episode) on her face in such a short time...
I have to disagree. This was a great ending, and 40-50 years apart is as Rory said, just a blip in their eternal existence. They will be together forever. How is this not an epic ending of an amazing show?
I really like your reactions but please keep yours and the video voice little up.. i always have to turn my computers volume all the way up to get you hear little properly.
I actually agree, season five was honestly pretty boring for me. I hated how they spent like 80% of the whole season focusing on nothing but Chloe and Lucifer's relationship drama. They ignored everything that I did love about this show. I did feel the ending of this season was decent, but like the first 2/3 of season 6 weren't interesting for me. I really liked the actress who played Lucifer's daughter(Brianna Hildebrand). She's also in the deadpool movies.
Yeah, this isn't my favourite season personally, it felt a bit like they realised there's no show with Lucifer as God so had to take the previous finale back somehow, which felt a bit like stalling rather than a natural place for the narrative to go. But it was still enjoyable (at least partly because these characters are just a "good hang"). And the ending itself mostly hit the mark for me. So not the perfectly nailed landing of something like e.g (from recent memory) 'The Good Place' but _very_ far from a complete disaster either IMO.
Because Chloe is human and would’ve aged considerably faster than Lucifer and Aurora, with her now being a spirit she is now ageless and can be with the love of her life and their daughter for the rest of eternity
Because unlike Amenadiel who doesn't need to deal with time paradox, Luci's family (Chloe and Rory) needed the time travel to happen. Rory's main reason to come back to the past is to find out why Luci left her and Chloe for years with no explanation. If Luci appears at Chloe's deathbed, then there's no reason for Rory to come back, which will defy the paradox itself and Luci wouldn't be able to figure his true calling. Something will need to happen in order to trigger what happened the way it did.
I disagree this is the perfect ending to wrap up the show I’m literally hurt but it’s perfect ending. Lucifer can go to heaven and hell and so can Chloe

is ready to sacrifice myself for love (I gave my life, burned in Paradise for Chloe);
can become a Husband and Father.
I feel for ten episodes it was great and honestly great end, everyone got their happy ending
Such a bittersweet ending for them... wasn't expecting this twist at the end!
From God & Goddess to Lord& Lady of Hell.
I agree with most of the comments here that I wanted this season to be a goodbye, didn't feel the need for any craziness. + remember that this season was filmed during Covid so a lot of stuff just could happen
Reese and Le Mech in that final scene, along with a _"rando"..._
He could have done worse! Imagine Lucifer having a session with, let's say ... *Malcolm Graham* or the guy who killed Chloe's dad ... or ... even ... -Eve's oldest son- _!_
A rando? It’s the girl from the first episode! The girl that bullied Trixie 👍
@@JUSTNELLA I guess I didn't recognize her due to the age difference. Well, Lucifer *DID* warn her that there was _"a special place in hell for bullies"._
@@ChaplainDaveSparks she has the same movement of the eyes like that girl 🤟 😜
I cried soooooooooooo much
I can usualy keep it together however each time i see this finalle im even bigger mess.
Still can’t believe its finished. loved this show so much
WHY WASNT ADULT TRIXIE THERE TO SAY GOODBYE?!?!
The actress was busy they only had a few days with her due to other commitments so she could not be involved as much.
@@AndrewJamison79 which is why I said adult Trixie. If Chloe is dying of old age, it wouldn’t be OUR Trixie there, it would be an adult.
@@Drummer4President right sorry misread the original comment
@@Drummer4President There was a theory or speculation that adult Trixie became an astronaut and died at the age of 30. At the corner of Chloe's bed, there's a pic of older Trixie as an astronaut.
I also thought the episodes was pretty to be honest but at the sametime i don't mind it being slow i'm ok with that i thought all season 6 they were still good episodes it wasn't that boring to me the only episode i that was boring to me it was ok i think it could of been batter is season 6 episode 1 that's about it the rest of the episode were fun i'm a fan of the rest of the episodes to me that's just my honest opinion everyone is entitled to their own difference honest opinion i totally respect that i also think the ending of this last episode was perfect i give the ending 10 out of 10 in my honest opinion i didn't think it was completely perfect 100% in my opinion because i think it would of been alot better of micheal still play a big huge role in this season too see micheal redeem himself because i love micheal he was just jealous of his twin brother lucifer i just want lucifer and micheal to get along this time i want it to see lucifer also talk it out with micheal in hell at the end i was a bit disappointed we didn't see that happen with this season oh well it is what it is but we know micheal is in hell and i also would of love it if they told trixie the truth that lucifer and maze is the devil and amenadiel is an angel just like how ella finally found out there secret and i would if also love the see all of the characters visit going to sliver city heaven, hell and other realms dimensions that would of been epic, i would of love to see what trixie from the future would of look like and i also would of love to see mazikeen also dark angel wings i would of give it 11 out of 10 comp because i know that lucifer has wings has also a devil and angel at the sametime but at least they try there best with this final season that's all that matter can't please everyone that's ok that's why most say that no movie and show is perfect they are always going to have there flaws because if it was perfect everyone would of had the same exact opinion said it was perfect we are always going to have difference opinions and preference that's what makes us unique i also heared that we might get some lucifer spin off i would love to see a spin off of micheal played by tom ellis again, i would love maze and eve spin off and the last spin off i want to want is rory seaking of rory i really think you do look like rory played by brianna hildebrand actress in my honest opinion
Remember Trixie said"Lucifer never lies"+her reaction to the ring story "The ring has Lilith´s immortality in it?"+she draw Lucifer always as devil+she was/is clever enough to know that Maze did not paint her half-demon mask(Monster episode) on her face in such a short time...
hey EvilQK just wondering if your gonna do a season 9 wentworth reaction once all the eps are out?
Where’s Trixie in the end? Why wasn’t she with Rory next to Chloe?
Why did the series end in this way, why couldn't Lucifer move between worlds like Amendel and Chloe spend the rest of her life without him?
Because Chloe is human and would’ve aged considerably faster than Lucifer and Aurora, with her now being a spirit she is now ageless and can be with the love of her life and their daughter for the rest of eternity
@@quietdemon8138 But wouldn't it be better if he stayed with her longer To see his daughter when she was born at least
@@omarakream0391 she wouldn’t have built up that anger that she used to travel back in time to create the loop.
Yeah this season definitely wasn't it for me. I wanted more. And I just got a lot of filler... Whatevs I still liked it I guess.
the show went full fan fiction this season.
Finally someone has the nerve to say it. The amount of crap I took for calling this season Woke trash is beyond laughable
Epilogue, ten episodes long. I enjoyed the wrap up, but like most endings of a good experience I was left unsatisfied.
Are u really crazy abt saying season 5 was ? Million times better 😂😂 u need a therapy or treatment maybe
This whole season just left me underwhelmed. S5 was the best one overall
This season sucked big time
It really didn’t
@@quietdemon8138 it rly did
@@morleyxtremeh1955 No, it was the perfect ending really.
💯
I preferred watching Michael do his shenanigans than spending time with angsty Negasonic Teenage Warhead
