if the line is bi-directional something in the logic might have gone weird so than that train triggered the wrong line running activation treadle even though going away from the level crossing
It is not bidirectional! Although a tamper had broken down further down the line towards Kemble and a rescue train had gone wrong line running (even though the line isn’t bidirectional) to get it
