Roger, I loved hearing your playing of this song. I have played it myself for a singing student of mine...and our tempo was exactly the same! I love this song. There is something so intensely tender about it. Thank you, Roger. I have followed your Long-Distance Lieder with great enjoyment...what a wonderful initiative. Just like you.
Hi Hilary, it's so good to hear from you, and I think your Dad tweeted a very nice response to one of my earlier items... as for A Chloris, i remember that for a year after I recorded it with Susan Graham, everywhere I gave a masterclass, somebody would sing that song...
@@rogervignoles3870 Actually, that tweet wasn't from my Dad, Roger, it was from me!! My Dad died in 1996, but his name lives on for my Twitter account as some of the inflammatory material I tweet or retweet are not meant for the eyes of my students! I am, after all, living in a catholic country....! However, I will soon be opening a new twitter account in my own name, now that I am teaching exclusively online! We have to do what we can, do we not? And your initiative was a great inspiration to me...and a kick up the backside as well to keep going despite Covid-19! All best wishes.
moments of joy and peace. thank you from Canada.
