after being a lapsed/slack/lukewarm Catholic for forty-five years I became a devout Catholic because I finally understood the lived example of my (late) precious mum 💕
Excellent! Thank you so much for this much needed talk. The domination and de-valuing of women is a result of the fall from grace - it was never God's plan. The most beautiful human being ever created is Mary, Mother of God and Queen of Heaven.
Approaching this from "but this actually means we are MORE special" is a weird angle that plays to egotism. This hinges on dominance as a consolation vs humbly accepting your role, nothing more nothing less. We need each other, period. Am I missing something?
Women are fighting for priestly rights because they haven't understood and appreciated their blessings. Only a woman can bring forth new life (body and soul) into this world. A priest can only take the existing body and soul and prepare it for eternal life. God will call women to serve Him as priests and deacons only when He gives men the ability to give birth to new life. Until now He has not. So ladies, please stop fighting for the forbidden fruit and appreciate and thank God for the thousand blessings which He has showered upon you. Eve had more than 2000 varieties of fruits to choose from but she wanted that one forbidden fruit. Don't repeat Eve's error.
It'd be interesting to hear your take on the institution of marriage that Catholicism holds so dear and women, specifically, that statistically, women are more likely to initiate divorce and single unmarried women are the happiest demographic. I have my own ideas about why this is the case, but curious about the Catholic Answers perspective on this.

Single, unmarried women are highly medicated for anxiety and depression. There is also a high level of alcoholism and s3x addiction. They are not the happiest demographic. Severity is dependent on location, income, and age. In their 20s they have fun. But over 30 they become catastrophically miserable. Only surveys show they are happy. Surveys are not in any way accurate and not scientific. Yes, I've read thousands of these researchers works. It's all garbage. I advise single Catholic men to stay single and celibate as I am doing.

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS: “As regards the individual nature, woman is defective and misbegotten, for the active power of the male seed tends to the production of a perfect likeness in the masculine sex; while the production of a woman comes from defect in the active power. The active power in the male is intended to produce a perfect image of itself, a masculine sex. When a female results it is either because of a weakness in this active power or because of some indisposition of the materials, or even from a change produced by an outside factor - for example, from south winds, which are humid.”

St. Thomas Aquinas, a medieval theologian and philosopher, did discuss gender and related topics in his works, but the sentiment expressed in the quote is not reflective of his beliefs as portrayed in his genuine writings.
Oppress women? The Virgin Mary, a human female, is the only human person to be chosen to be the Holy Mother of God and to be glorified in Heaven. She was immaculately conceived and is the Divine maternal Mother of Heaven and Earth. She is our Holy Mother. God has trusted her not only with His grace but with the son of God, Jesus to he conceived in her womb. God loves the Blessed Virgin Mary and the the Blessed Virgin Mary loves God. Now, how is that oppressing women? No man on Earth, not even the pope or even the angels in Heaven are above the Virgin Mary. Jesus, the Son of the Father, took on the human nature of a man. Jesus is one person with two natures: divine and human.

this lady needs to make a 20 answers book about Women and the Catholic Church. That'd be great for the series!
This talk goes beautifully with Sheen’s book “The Worlds First Love”. Thank you and God bless.
I love how it is carried up to this date the way they address every situation, just like how St. Paul address the church thru letters.
This is a very timely upload.
@brendamyc3173 I wish Pope Francis and his gang understand that

Thank you so much from a son, husband, father and grandfather of women and girls. Listened to this twice. Is a transcript available?
This is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Please say more! 😊

What is the source for single unmarried women being the happiest? What is happiness even defined as by this statement?

Jesus did not use woman for priests, need I say more.

The reason he said that is because he liked Aristotle, and Aristotle said that the sperm contributed the most.

Didn't know that Aquinas was into feng shui.
