Kayak Fishing the Allegheny Reservoir (Sugar Bay) 2018

Kayaking and Fishing the Allegheny Reservoir (Kinzua Lake) at Sugar Bay in the Allegheny National Forest. Landed 1 pike and 5 smallmouth bass. My Mom and I also had a nice picnic at one of the campsites along the lake. The Kinzua is a gorgeous place!

All fish were landed on Carolina-rigged gizzet tubes.
Fishing in Western Pennsylvanian.

Kinzua is not easy to fish, its hit-or-miss. Fish around inlets, boulders, and weed-beds is really my only suggestion, easiest way to catch fish there is medium-large minnows under a float. That day I had success bottom bouncing a tube, jerk baits and twister tails work well there too when the fish are biting.

@@KillerTheGoat1 Try a crawler on a Lindy rig in bays, 15-35 FOW. Should produce walleye, smallies and stripers.
