Alexander Volkanovski is the greatest featherweight of all time. Regardless of what happens in the Islam fight, I think he can come back down and rattle off 3/4 more title defenses. And here’s the part that no one ever talks about: he might be one of the best strikers we’ve ever seen. He doesn’t look like it, but in terms of effective striking, he beat Max Holloway in 13/15 rounds...standing right in front of him. He absolutely mauled Ortega and Zombie on the feet, to the point it was nearly hard to watch. Ladies and gentlemen, that’s one of the best strikers the game as ever seen, like it or not
If Volk can just threaten Islam from barging in and dance and box in the Octagon, Volks is going to be the GOAT. And that’s what he’s working on at this fckin moment. Legendary.
It's hard to argue that Volk isn't the 145 goat , he's beat both of the best besides him in Aldo , and Max (3 times) I don't like his chances against Islam , he hasn't fought a grappler like him and Islam is gonna have a massive size advantage and Islam's striking is very underrated, he's got a very good jab and left kick to the body and he's very good defensively, I do think Volk will make it competitive and not get ran though easily
