Haven't watched the podcast till now, but as per me, when Maxwell played that freak knock against Afghanistan, I had a little feeling inside me - ki agar aisa match jit sakte hai inko world cup jitne se koi nahi rok sakta. And unfortunately for us, that happened. For me, Maxwell's knock was the biggest catalyst that they won the World Cup after losing the first two games.
You are absolutely right...when Australia lost against South Africa in Lucknow, they were in their lowest point, even Cricbuzz Commentators stated that is this Australian Cricket Team or some bunch of rookies wearing Australian Jersey? At the time of world cup i was 16 and i was not a regular audience to cricket i started watching the world cup after india played 3 matches after this i was got so attached to the sport i kept record of every match . The night india lost i cried for 2 hours didn't slept for 2 days got depressed for almost a month. Because it was my first world cup now i am a cricket fan and keep record of every match.

But when India started winning from that Asia Cup campaign I somehow got attached to our players, especially Rohit Sharma who talked about his dream for the World Cup. I thought India's triumph will heal me. But that loss was the last nail of the coffin for me and I burst in tears 😭. I was in stands for that Pune game, the game was wrapped up so quickly that only thing to look forward for the crowd was Virat reaching his 100, when KL Rahul started bashing the bowlers crowd were a bit disappointed but suddenly KL as if he heard the crowd, denied a single, crowd went nuts, we were shouting Single!! Single!! When Virat was in strike for the last ball of the over😂😂. Each kohli run was cheered like a win and when that moment came, wow!! The crowd went home happy and all of the struggle to gain tickets, pathetic traffic felt worth it❤. Wish this campaign ended differently

It's a very unique video on the final...u didn't cry nor made it a shok sabha...it was just an effort to analyse what went wrong...and it wasn't just one bad day...we were outplayed...but in a sport everyday u start from 0...even the mighty west indies bowed infront of India on another final...but a very different take on that day... didn't hurt at all to listen to the video even though I haven't dared to watch the highlights...but great work... looking forward to more.

We say Australia is meant for knockout. It’s just that their audience or supporters doesn’t care as much as do. So, even if they loose it, nothing gonna happen to them and they don’t have a fear of that backlash as Indians have.
The way team played in entire tournament and the environment it created in the country i dont think will be achieved. And in final the way australia fielded it was examplary on that day. This podcast was a hard watch for sure 🤕
Bhai about Maxwell’s double ton, I do agree that the situation was that it was impossible for Australia to win from there but I think even for Kapil Dev, it was some 18 or 20 runs and 5 players were out and as all those players that were there, it was about announcing that India is not just there to win two matches and go home happily, that India is there to win and to prove everyone who doubts the team wrong. Also the famous journalist Rajdeep Sardesai also said that Kapil Dev was more like freedom fighter than a cricketer and that 175 had that kind of an effect as well but I also agree that most of the people couldn't see it's difficult to breakdown the performance. So I think both the innings are equally valid for the greatest WC innings debate.
But when you know that you need to score a specific amount of runs to win then that actually makes it more difficult to play. Australia needed 292 to win which wasn't the case with India.

Here I've a few inputs which are more imp for the ICT in near & long run future 1) The pitch thing I think half PPL thought it to be myth & half believed during WC of how we under/overestimate ourselves for certain conditions go with them & later fall in our own trap but the recent 3-0 NZ whitewash did confirm this I think we need to work on this can't be repeating same mistakes over & over again ! 2) The approach, the intent I know for me sitting & saying here is way easier than for a ICT captain to think & act on ground but I think humlogo ne kuch usmay dekhkr hi use itni bde post pr bithaya to we expect him to act when it's needed isiliye the all out approach even if we're losing/very thin win chances we'd go ahead & not try to be safe it can fetch us good results & work more in favor at least in big stages like it's done for Australia & we as fans should fully back our captain for this irrespective of the outcome! 3) I feel especially for tests like it was that for last 2-3 yrs we made Kumble sir the captain of test team & he did deliver including individual performances as well as team reaching new heights then if we've a tested formula in Virat the greatest ever test captain why not before his last 3-4 yrs of active cricket in him ends bring him back as test team leader & give him chance to bring in at least a couple of WTCs in our cabinet he surely can at least 1 to laa hi sakta hain he's got that in him if not both we should think about this it can work good in tests coz Rohit clearly hasn't quite been there as a captain in tests where we need somebody like Virat who keeps everyone charged up all five days irrespective of outcome ! This way we also shed off additional pressure off Rohit & we get to our 3 format different team different leader concept which does work & I belive will surely work ODI under Rohit T20 under Sky Test under Virat I think this formula will be superb & will make ICT reach great heights in next 3-4 yrs! I'd also appeal #brosports to make a podcast/ a small segment of discussion on this & let's try to make it reach the BCCI & selectors so that that take a call on it!

I would argue that the daily inside coverage by BCCI (apart from their on-field wonders) played a major role in developing a diff level of emotional connect with that team, that’s y it hit even more. Grateful that 29 June did some healing (not entirely ofc) but it still hurts.
Not really. They actually defended Kohli as well. They even justified Dhoni's actions in that video. They were just saying Dhoni should've handled that period in a better way. Also here, they just said Kohli should've played faster but they also said that his innings in the semi finals and the finals were great. That's it. That's not bashing.

So guys please tell me, when you have opened the bowling with Siraj the entire tournament you panic in the finals and don’t give him opening bowling. That was the moment you lost, if Siraj isn’t bowling at the start he surely isn’t a middle overs bowlers but shami had done that. Why don’t we also discuss the selfless brand which is circulating, according to stats the easiest period to bat in the whole world cup was the first power play where the average run rate was 8 and strike rate was 103.4. Except for the first match against Australia, indian pitches were straight out flat in the first 10, we saw this in the recent Sri lanka series, rohit scored again 30-40-50s but team lost the series because it was not the selfless merchants winning you games but ur strong middle order in almost every match, and yet again credit being diverted. It's a very unique video on the final...u didn't cry nor made it a shok sabha...it was just an effort to analyse what went wrong...and it wasn't just one bad day...we were outplayed...but in a sport everyday u start from 0...even the mighty west indies bowed infront of India on another final...but a very different take on that day... didn't hurt at all to listen to the video even though I haven't dared to watch the highlights...but great work... looking forward to more.

Bhai about Maxwell’s double ton, I do agree that the situation was that it was impossible for Australia to win from there but I think even for Kapil Dev, it was some 18 or 20 runs and 5 players were out and as all those players that were there, it was about announcing that India is not just there to win two matches and go home happily, that India is there to win and to prove everyone who doubts the team wrong. Also the famous journalist Rajdeep Sardesai also said that Kapil Dev was more like freedom fighter than a cricketer and that 175 had that kind of an effect as well but I also agree that most of the people couldn't see it's difficult to breakdown the performance. So I think both the innings are equally valid for the greatest WC innings debate.

Here I've a few inputs which are more imp for the ICT in near & long run future
1) The pitch thing I think half PPL thought it to be myth & half believed during WC of how we under/overestimate ourselves for certain conditions go with them & later fall in our own trap but the recent 3-0 NZ whitewash did confirm this I think we need to work on this can't be repeating same mistakes over & over again !
2) The approach, the intent I know for me sitting & saying here is way easier than for a ICT captain to think & act on ground but I think humlogo ne kuch usmay dekhkr hi use itni bde post pr bithaya to we expect him to act when it's needed isiliye the all out approach even if we're losing/very thin win chances we'd go ahead & not try to be safe it can fetch us good results & work more in favor at least in big stages like it's done for Australia & we as fans should fully back our captain for this irrespective of the outcome!
3) I feel especially for tests like it was that for last 2-3 yrs we made Kumble sir the captain of test team & he did deliver including individual performances as well as team reaching new heights then if we've a tested formula in Virat the greatest ever test captain why not before his last 3-4 yrs of active cricket in him ends bring him back as test team leader & give him chance to bring in at least a couple of WTCs in our cabinet he surely can at least 1 to laa hi sakta hain he's got that in him if not both we should think about this it can work good in tests coz Rohit clearly hasn't quite been there as a captain in tests where we need somebody like Virat who keeps everyone charged up all five days irrespective of outcome ! This way we also shed off additional pressure off Rohit & we get to our 3 format different team different leader concept which does work & I belive will surely work

So guys please tell me, when you have opened the bowling with Siraj the entire tournament you panic in the finals and don’t give him opening bowling. That was the moment you lost, if Siraj isn’t bowling at the start he surely isn’t a middle overs bowlers but shami had done that. Why don’t we also discuss the selfless brand which is circulating, according to stats the easiest period to bat in the whole world cup was the first power play where the average run rate was 8 and strike rate was 103.4. Except for the first match against Australia, indian pitches were straight out flat in the first 10, we saw this in the recent Sri lanka series, rohit scored again 30-40-50s but team lost the series because it was not the selfless merchants winning you games but ur strong middle order in almost every match, and yet again credit being diverted. All for praising rohit’s captaincy but don’t run a biased channel
