I feel that most of these brands are at least a few decades old, and position themselves around legacy / certain geography / top designer which is very similar to premium Scotch brands as well. So, a few questions I'd like to know more about - i) Have some luxury brands have been able to emerge strongly in say 8-10 years time frame ii) How are these luxury brands able to command such a premium, etc. Looking fwd to more of your videos.
Hi there, I am sorry I missed responding to your questions. 1) Mny brands did exceedingly well in the 2010-2020 period. China was growing rapidly. Global wealth wa goind up. During Covid, sales went further up! People had the YOLO syndrome - you lnly live once i.e. 2) They Command a premium because they promise exclusivity, Access to heritage, and high quality craftsmanship, and cater to Beyond money, and Very Important Customers. Those who have the money need something not everyone uses - Luxury comes into the picture. Please see all the videos, you will hopefully gatther a lot of new, good information.
