What up world! I’m the man in pink! This was an unreal night, our card was already stacked with good vibes and positive energy and Simon just made our card unfair! He was a pleasure to talk to, genuine, and super down to earth! Mad Love and respect for Simon! Spoiler he took down putting league this week! Well done Papi PROST!
Dude I can't describe how happy I am seeing so many people enjoying this sport. I live in the UK. My older brother and I play at our local "park" (it's a collection of fields/football pitch/sport courts) we make up our own holes with either the metal bins being the basket or if we can be bothered we bring our own light weight basket. We ALWAYS get at least a couple of people stopping to ask us either "what are we doing?" or "hey I've seen something like this before! what is it?" which is almost as nice as "wow you guys really throw far" :') we laugh because we're throwing 250 ft at best at the moment. Anyway my original point was that this is SO COOL to see!
@@bholedg The one we use isn't a park per say, that's why it was in quotes, but apparently there is an amazing one in Manchester I have yet to go to, my older brother has been and he fell in love with it. There's also one in Harrogate but to be honest i'd avoid it unless you want to try and hyzer around dog walkers and the general public...the one time i've been to the Harrogate park we had to abandon the last three holes as they had been taken over by a youth group holding a sports day. Pretty sure there's one in Halifax (sorry Huddersfield not Halifax) too.
@@bholedg *course I mean, the Harrogate park has a discgolf course in a public park but as far as I'm aware the Huddersfield (not Halifax) and Manchester Parks are legit discgolf parks rather than public parks with courses set out.
@@MaximilianBerkmann No, I'm seriously in Leeds waiting for a good time to golf at an actual DG course lol Longford was the one I was talking about actually, my older bro really enjoyed it when he went.
Simon u have to be THE coolest pro disc golfer ever! Ur so down to earth and humble! And u seem like the nicest guy! Thank u so much for the content bro it made my day!!!
We have two putting leagues around me (center Georgia) and its super cool. One is at a brewery so drinks are a must and another at a church. For the clubs, its a great way to earn some cash for tournaments throughout the year/course maintenance
Thanks for puttin’ my puttin’ up there. Felt more confident I’d make that behind the back one more than any other ones I threw that night. Great seein’ ya out there, hope to see ya there again.
Very cool to see you film in person and then see the finished product! It was great to meet you as well, looking forward to next week. That last putt was the difference between second and third xD
We used to play pickleball in highschool and run tournaments, and that was 12 years ago and we'd been doing it at least since my brother graduated in 2002. It's been crazy to see how its grown and how many people know about it now. Also, honestly so cool that you did this. Engagement at this level is so awesome.
This is so cool!! I bet everyone was stoked to see you there! Love that about disc golf that the pros are accessible! I’ve got disc in the bag signed by several just a fun little flex!
Fabulous video Simon! You bring smiles to disc golfers everywhere with your mad skills and great sense of humor. You are a national treasure and deserve to be the official U.S. Disc Golf Ambassador.
That looked like a blast! I'll have to live vicariously through blogs like this... Having social anxiety makes it difficult to do things like that... Love the vlogs!
I feel the same way. I play with a couple guys and avoid tournaments or club play. But I absolutely enjoyed seeing this but would be in a corner watching from afar if I was there
So refreshing to see a group of people. not wearing masks just having fun doing activities, makes you realize its finally getting back to normal, it finally feels like Covid is over. love it.
This looks like a lot of fun. I wish there were more public indoor disc golf experiences. Offseason when it's 40 degrees and pouring rain out sometimes you still feel like playing some kind of disc golf, even if it's just putting. It seems like someone could convert an old mall or department store or something into a midrange course of some kind, but maybe that's getting too ambitious. Just can't tell you how many times I've felt like playing disc golf at 9PM or when it's pouring rain outside. One of the biggest issues with disc is that it is completely at the mercy of the elements. Hope that changes in the future.
I love this content Simon.thanks brother for going and doing this. I agree it would be cool to see more pros do stuff like this. That plays looks AWESOME I hope to get up north and check that place out. I would like to build something like that place around my way hickory, NC. Congrats on your podium finish I finally won the putting league around here last wendsday. I agree putting league helps you learn to calm the nerves on clutch putts. Thanks again love the content. Vlogmas is great
This was great! I like the format of that league. There's a winter putting league not far from me but it's more like a putting obstacle course, like mini golf but for disc golf. It's fun, but it seems like this format could actually be good practice.
Looks fun, would be nice if they had some kind of turf on the floor around the baskets though, i would imagine your discs would get beat up quick throwing on cement
that was one of the coolest videos on disc golf that I've ever seen. a putting league is a great idea. and so was a pro dropping in to play. 2 people should have run right out and had t-shirts printed saying "I beat Simon Lizotte". I know I would have. if I could ever possibly beat him, which is highly doubtable. again, too cool an idea, thanks!!
Bro on a course I'm average at best. Back yard putting you don't want to mess with me. More places need to have events like this. Truly some amazing putters in a lot of local scenes.
Come to jtown in illinois we go hard on putting leagues. Dellwood DG had the first 18 hole putting league and course inside a prison. 18 different unique putting stations. Now they are doing a 18 hole league in a haunted house!
That’s so cool to see you out there doing this in a beer drinking league. Yeah you didn’t win but mingling with the fans and losing to them is one more thing tryout can do to keep yourself humble. Love your channel and you are fast becoming my favorite pro!
These events are awesome! I just did my first league night last Monday in Wilmington, De WBW (Wilmington Brew Works). So much fun and local 🍺 a plenty! Definitely going back for more!
That hazy brew looked so delicious. These videos are great! You seem like such a chill, down-to-earth guy, Simon. I'm sure the community really loved having you out there.

PROST!
I loved how you as a pro treat all the amateurs around you. It’s why everyone loves you as a player!
too true.
He's a pro frisbee golfer, I'm pretty sure it's not hard for him to be humble...
Also I'd be willing to bet most people there had no idea who he was.
Pro frisbee golfer man. It's not like he's Phil Mickelson.
@@snavisTM I'd take that bet. Most people who play disc golf know who he is.
Imagine showing up to your local putting league and beating Simon Lizotte
imagine showing up and
He is actually there!
🤯
It's the distance leagues where it gets tricky to beat him....
@@BassistThan You mean impossible 🤣
*Beats Simon at putting league* Am I rated 1050 now?
I'd imagine no there can even approach his driving game
Pink man is the main character
This was fun to watch! Just what I like to see pro's do.
Be a part of the community.
I also like that he didn't seem mad to get third like he was above anyone like that was such a shame or something.

Fun as always but the editing and overall production value is truly top notch! Pro work! You've got the knack for it, Simon. Thanx.
I have a feeling more putting leagues will be showing up after this video. Gonna talk to my local club about doing this, what a good idea!
