- Man this was such a fun night! I'll try to be a regular at this Putting League in West Boylston, MA. The School Yahd is the perfect venue for this with a bar and a bunch of fun games all over the place. Couldn't ask for much more.... maybe a few more made putts next time 😂

Dude I can't describe how happy I am seeing so many people enjoying this sport. I live in the UK. My older brother and I play at our local "park" (it's a collection of fields/football pitch/sport courts) we make up our own holes with either the metal bins being the basket or if we can be bothered we bring our own light weight basket. We ALWAYS get at least a couple of people stopping to ask us either "what are we doing?" or "hey I've seen something like this before! what is it?" which is almost as nice as "wow you guys really throw far" :') we laugh because we're throwing 250 ft at best at the moment. Anyway my original point was that this is SO COOL to see!

@@bholedg The one we use isn't a park per say, that's why it was in quotes, but apparently there is an amazing one in Manchester I have yet to go to, my older brother has been and he fell in love with it. There's also one in Harrogate but to be honest i'd avoid it unless you want to try and hyzer around dog walkers and the general public...the one time i've been to the Harrogate park we had to abandon the last three holes as they had been taken over by a youth group holding a sports day. Pretty sure there's one in Halifax (sorry Huddersfield not Halifax) too.
@@bholedg *course I mean, the Harrogate park has a discgolf course in a public park but as far as I'm aware the Huddersfield (not Halifax) and Manchester Parks are legit discgolf parks rather than public parks with courses set out.

My Disc golf league is starting a putting league
Doubles is fun for putting league.
We have two putting leagues around me (center Georgia) and its super cool. One is at a brewery so drinks are a must and another at a church. For the clubs, its a great way to earn some cash for tournaments throughout the year/course maintenance

We used to play pickleball in highschool and run tournaments, and that was 12 years ago and we'd been doing it at least since my brother graduated in 2002. It's been crazy to see how its grown and how many people know about it now.
Also, honestly so cool that you did this. Engagement at this level is so awesome.

One of my favorite disc golf memories was Ricky playing a local mini. He was so personable and took time to talk to everyone. Such a great event .

This looks like a lot of fun. I wish there were more public indoor disc golf experiences. Offseason when it's 40 degrees and pouring rain out sometimes you still feel like playing some kind of disc golf, even if it's just putting. It seems like someone could convert an old mall or department store or something into a midrange course of some kind, but maybe that's getting too ambitious. Just can't tell you how many times I've felt like playing disc golf at 9PM or when it's pouring rain outside. One of the biggest issues with disc is that it is completely at the mercy of the elements. Hope that changes in the future.
I'm late to this, fairly new to disc golf, and I can clearly see why so many people love Simon. Such a rad guy and so down to earth. Personable.

I feel the same way. I play with a couple guys and avoid tournaments or club play. But I absolutely enjoyed seeing this but would be in a corner watching from afar if I was there

This was great! I like the format of that league. There's a winter putting league not far from me but it's more like a putting obstacle course, like mini golf but for disc golf. It's fun, but it seems like this format could actually be good practice.

Come to jtown in illinois we go hard on putting leagues. Dellwood DG had the first 18 hole putting league and course inside a prison. 18 different unique putting stations. Now they are doing a 18 hole league in a haunted house!

Chris had an unmistakable face to me but couldn't pin down how I knew him. Think he appeared on Married at First Sight. Gal he got paired with was a total head case drag but he showed himself to be a class act throughout. Cool to see that he's involved in the disc golf community.

that was one of the coolest videos on disc golf that I've ever seen. a putting league is a great idea. and so was a pro dropping in to play. 2 people should have run right out and had t-shirts printed saying "I beat Simon Lizotte". I know I would have. if I could ever possibly beat him, which is highly doubtable. again, too cool an idea, thanks!!

There’s one back home at an indoor soccer park. I’ve never gone to it and it’s only in the winter but I’m going this year!
I grew up in Southern Oregon we used to just go disgolfing at parks by the river there was never anyone there it was never a serious thing we would just smoke blunts and throw a disc we each would take about one disc each we never ever had putters drivers any of that stuff it’s amazing to see what it has become but I can imagine it’s nothing like what it was back when my friends and I used to do it 25 years ago
Simon, you would get the very best putting practice on my ace run disc golf course in Uncasville, CT(one mile from Mohegan Sun Casino). I have 9 permanent top of the line baskets around my home and 5 in the woodlands. I have 2 Innova Discatchers, 3 Prodigy T2s and a T1, DGA Mach 10, 5, and two 3s, Discraft Chainstar Pro, Dynamic Discs Veteran and Latitude 62, MVP Black Hole(like what Maple Hill has), and the Discmania Disc Golf Park basket. You will never forget the experience, trust me. Merry Christmas Simon and keep making these great videos!

The putting leagues here in Minnesota are actually set up like a course with obstacles. And always a mini disc Ace run at the end. Come crash a putting league here after you take down the Preserve Championship 🏆 😉
