- Powerful and tragically destructive tornado passes through Cole, Oklahoma. Subsonic sensor deployed west of torn. Dominator fire anticipated left hand turn and allowed the tornado to pass the road. Underground storm shelter in destroyed home. Search and rescue zone now
This is one of the most intense storm chases I’ve watched live
It was awesome 👌🏻
Live, raw and uncut!
It was beautiful and I felt like I was in the car with him reaching for my seat belt 😂. This is by far, the best video of his!
Lucky! I just tuned in right after. Still have not caught one live yet.

Agreed
I’ve been obsessed with chasing my entire adult life. And this is the best I’ve seen!
@@Twistedwinds.Media. Awesome! I just subbed to your channel. Good luck in your storm chasing endeavors. Look forward to seeing your content as it rolls in!
@@jpvintage Thank you! its a work in progress and chase days are few and far between, as i am working towards my degree, working, and a father of 2. But content is coming!
Very rarely do people and storm chasers get this close to record one of mother nature's fury and live to tell about it. Thank you for doing what you do! Be safe out there!

I was on the edge of my seat watching this live as they were reversing away from those power flashes. How they both stayed so calm is incredible.
Was this live on UA-cam last night? For free or only to subscribers?
What did "Work the terrain" mean?
@thomashernandez8700 I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I interpreted it to mean that he was using things like the small hill beside them as a potential windbreak or shield from flying debris. But I could be completely wrong, I don't know. 🤷♀️
Both calm? One guy was yelling quite a bit.
It randomly was recommended to me so I said screwed it and watched. First time watching this kind of thing live and I was floored.
That moment when you see the multiple vortices...😲😲😲 To see this live was really intense. Praying everyone is safe. Amazing footage.
Tornado footage is getting so dang good lately. Thank you guys for what you do.
I agree with you. Tornado chasers do great work. The growing number of surveillance cameras have also provided some incredible footage as well.
А ЗАЧЕМ, ВО ИМЯ ЧЕГО?
Dr. Reed Timmer is the real-life Indiana Jones of Meteorology. It is a fact.
There's never been anyone like him,
and there never will be again.
Thank you Reed for grabbing ahold of the scientific effort to understand tornadoes,
picking it up, and sprinting it decades into the future. What you do, while extremely dangerous, is saving untold lives.
Keep the incredible content coming, we love it! And most importantly - for God's sake, STAY SAFE you crazy bastards!

Reed are you dominator 4?
You must have been living in a hole for a long time. Before Mr. Timmer there was Tim Samaras and his crew. You might wanna rethink that comment you just made.
More like the captain from Jaws 😂😂. Hes pretty special
Dang, the amount of detail shown in this intercept is A+ material. Absolutely phenomenal intercept, and stay safe Reed. Many thanks towards what you do to further science.
Science hell, fun level was off the chart!
Wasn't YOUR adrinaline running? Imagine Reed's level! 🤪
"Stay safe Reed"? A little late for that.
@@RandomDudeOne not really 😂 he’s been a storm chaser forever and is chasing again today! 😊
Agreed!
@@dopeman420 No advance in anything? That's easy for you to say with how little you know. Do you think Reed is just extremely lucky that he is frequently at the location in which the most severe weather is occurring? He has a system, based on experience and data he constantly collects. The footage is also data that allows better classification of tornadoes, every week we are seeing more groundbreaking footage than ever before. It also greatly increases public awareness of the reality of tornadoes, would you know as much as you do now if people stopped studying tornadoes years ago?
You got real close to being to close this time. Probably one of the gnarliest, most intense and spectacular videos I've seen in quite a while.
This is insane...only Reed can do what he does! Dr. Timmer is a legend!
Nothing beats a Reed Timmer storm chase. Always the most amazing footage of actual tornados on the ground for locations I would never want to be during one. Thank you for all that you do.
Agreed 👍🏼
One of the most insane chases I’ve ever watched! This is the first tornado I actually saw live on your stream, so it was really cool!
You did it up right with this one!
😎👍
Congrats! You got your cherry busted by the Best! 😎👍
How did I just find out Reed has a channel, I feel like a caveman
I popped in on my lunch break and was instantly in the chase lol
Dude's putting his life on the line for us, thank God his son wasn't with him for this one.
If you’ve never heard a tornado go over you, you’re blessed! It’s absolutely terrifying! Prayed for all my neighbors in OK today!
I'm so glad that me and my wife picked up our toddlers and moved out of Oklahoma last year.. it's like putting your life in danger living there
So far they're reporting one fatality
I heard a Tornado go over my house before in 2017. The sound is unbelievable! It's like everything you hear is 3D max times 10 and the wind sounds like you are actually about to go into another dimension! The Sound of the actual tornado sounds like a train but the pressure of wind along with it is shocking. I don't ever want to see another tornado in person ever again.
@@aaronjess1608 I hear you, I grew up on the east coast of Fla, went through a few hurricanes, then to Illinois, tornadoes and a direct hit, then to NW TN where it's Dixie Alley and for the past 8 years we've been getting slammed. In a few years were moving to NE TN where there are fewer Nader's BUT I see they are a bit prone to fires. Can't go any where I guess to get away from natures wrath.

Ditto and agree. Incredible footage!
INSANE! There are a lot of folks who chase that would not have made it out of that monster. Your experience saved your life yesterday. One wrong move and things go the other way. Solid work, Reed!
Amazing how most chasers were in a different place then Reed. This guy knows exactly where to be at the right time.
Reed is one of the best chasers out there, a living legend!
The NWS didn't call this area an Enhanced concern until a few hours before the event.
@Hardball 247 our skies were sunny and clear until a few hrs before the event. The NWS can't keep up with the extreme changes in our weather that are associated with climate change. These events will continue to get worse and more unpredictable so you can't blame the National Weather Service

I've seen a lot of storm chasers, but this one was #1. Totally insane, he's literally right behind it closeup.
Dr Timmer NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!! The roar was incredible.
People say that but I've yet to hear any roar from any tornado online. I hear gusts of wind.
This is one of the most intense and insane tornado footage I've ever seen from Reed! Seriously, man. Nice work, Dr. Timmer.
I was going to the same thing and it seems everyone is saying it...these guys are CRAZY....
Mind blowing coverage Reed and Brian. In awe and terrified at the same time.
The reversing skills from 2:14 - 2:35 during those crazy winds were tremendous. The image from the window at 5:54 is jaw-dropping 😧
Watching it live was so insane. I can't sleep because I can't stop thinking about it.
if a tornado doesn't look like it's moving, it's probably coming at you that was 100% one of those if he was even 5 seconds late on whipping it backwards like that they probably would've gotten hurt
@@debatinghealer one must take direction into consideration too. If the tornado is east of you it is almost 100% moving away. There's still a chance it could hit you depending on if it's going NNE or SSE though
The building they were next to was completely leveled within a minute of them backing up. Insane!!!
I love how he uploads the moment when he finds a tornado from a chase so we wouldn't miss it. Sadly two people died
*Watched this live on stream as it unfolded, and it was unreal! Absolutely perfect chase Reed! Incredible storm and chasing! You're the GOAT for a reason!!*
ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS FOOTAGE. WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE ENTIRE VIDEO 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
This man said I'll see your "chase vids" from a mile away and raise ya this. A legend of the game, grew up watching this dude on cable tv and he still out here killing it.
My goodness! Incredible and intense! Great footage!
Man this footage, while different from what he got in Andover last year, is just as, if not more crazy. The multiple vortices, the debris flying around, power lines snapping all around them. Absolutely insane. Especially when that trash can went shooting past at around the 5:28 mark. Definitely one of the most insane captures I've ever seen.
Never could figure out the cop BEHIND them ... He sealed'em in where they couldn't back up!
Yea no kidding you hear reed say put on your seatbelt,he was probably thinking with wet road that heavy inflow could actually suck him into it.
If there was one video I wanted to watch on VR it would be this! It really feels like it was from Andy's perspective. They both did a great job, much respect!
Watching this live was so intense and insane. One of the most amazing tornado-chasing videos I have ever seen!! You are brilliant Reed. The way you handled the driving, keeping you both safe, narrating, and caring about rescuing others, I'll never forget!! I can't sleep because I can't stop watching it. Incredible!!
I believe you are truly insane for being this close to this tornado!😳🤦♀️ But, this was the BEST coverage I have EVER seen, and I lived and hung out in and around where all of these storms/tornadoes were yesterday. And my mother used to live in the direct path of where the tornado headed to Shawnee too. I have lived in both Cleveland Co. and Pottawatomi Co., and was there for several of these tornado catastrophes, and I have to say, YOUR coverage was hands down the absolute BEST coverage I have ever seen a chaser provide. I am extremely glad that God provided you and your team with safety and courage to allow us to see exactly what y’all saw and went through. Praying for all that were effected by these devastating storms and tornadoes throughout OK and everywhere else. God bless y’all and ALWAYS stay safe!🙏🏻❤️

OMG. The power poles snapped in half and you guys are right in it all. Dudes! I am afraid to watch and afraid to look away.
That was insane. I've been watching severe weather docs since the late 80s, and this is about as intense as it gets besides being hit directly by an EF4+... Reed is the new Warren Faidley. That guy was my hero in the 90s. Hopefully Reed is exposing a whole new generation of people who might get into actual weather research, rather than just thrill seeking. Keep it up dude!
In memory of Joel, RIP brother
Part of that new generation your talking about. I remember reed since the 2013 el Reno tornado (I’m 20 years old) but ever since then he started an obsession that is now turning into a meteorology masters degree
I’ve been watching Reed since I was a kid on storm chasers. I think his passion for storms, helping people in need, and just being such a wholesome person really got me to start learning a lot about supercells and weather in general. What a guy!!!
This storm developed just south east of us and We watched it blow up headed Northeast! Crazy! Great footage!
OMG this video definitly convinces me to get a underground shelter since I live here in oklahoma
OMG. There are a few ounces of insanity to be anywhere near a storm like this. Unreal footage. Thank you for showing us up close reality with Mother Nature. Please stay safe.
Oh shit. I hope everyone is ok. Please pray for the people who are getting hit by this tornado. Also, pray for Reed Timmer that he stays safe from this powerful tornado.
Unfortunately at least one fatality has been reported so far.
Unfortunately there were two people who died in Cole, OK in this tornado.
Oh no. I will pray for the people who lost their loved ones then.
You guys are crazy. Thanks.
This should be the opening scene for a new Twister movie. The reverse section, dodging the trash can, everything.

It’s incredible to think just how many times Reed has intercepted storms like this one. Makes it appear almost casual. Amazing
Great job Reed and crew... I'll be honest...I used to get annoyed with the "energy" you bring with every chase...but I have to admit your passion and exuberance have grown on me over the last couple of years...if only all of us could be so lucky doing something we loved as much as you love what you do.... Stay safe, enjoy, & God bless
adrenaline cranked to 11, I know this feeling from having ptsd from multiple tornado encounters ...
@@dmb3428 Does anyone know what category that was? I'm guess or 4 or 5
As someone in the path of this tornado, I will say it would be so much better for everyone if weather trackers and chasers could remain calm. The way people were yelling on the news last night was chaos. The trackers yelling about the crazy things they were seeing and the anchor not much better. That causes panic, and panic gets people killed. They were so busy with their banter they didn't give updated tornado locations. I didn't know this one had turned north until the sirens went off and we could hear it. I ran across my property to get my dogs and run back just hoping I made it in time. Passion is great and I'm glad these guys get to do what they love, but reliving this chaos is tough.
