I would slightly disagree and say he took a step back not a major one and he got torn apart by physical screen plays teams didn’t test him too much on over routs or big plays he needs more discipline yes but he caught a lot of unlucky calls from the refs and got beat up on by screen passes for not being big enough could be a great comeback year for an incredibly talented young player

with 45m in dead cap space and their cbs nearing the end of their contracts i think this was a very smart position, not only do hawks get flexibility within the cb position regarding contracts as they can now cut cornerbacks like burns and jackson but also they're getting talent that is much better, tldr: hawks are getting a much better and cheaper secondary.
