this was a really helpful video! I'm still new to the game and mostly really wanted to play the archetype for the aesthetic, so I was pretty crushed that I couldn't play it at full potential. This looks like it'll need some time for me to get to this level of play but I greatly appreciate the test hands as well! I really wish more videos included that sort of thing. The only thing I think I would need to either swap or get is triple tactics talent.
Ayyyy, welcome to the game! So, this deck was notoriously difficult to play before the banlist partially because of the skill in the mirror match. Now, it’s a little bit easier, but it’s also got less to do now since then. It WILL take significant amounts of time to really get proficient with the deck, but it’s super satisfying to win with. Just take your time and you will be great, friend!
Playable sure but it’s back where it used to be heavy rng but saying we don’t need kitalos is wrong literally the problem was the ishizu cards but Konami being Konami hits the old deck first hard didn’t even add kashtira cards lol also why herald of diviner great combo with with ishizu cards as well as great synchros to make like dragnite and baron
I think it kinda depends on the format, but I don’t really consider it worth it this format tbh, I think it was mostly there in old Danger lists for mine
As much as I thought people were coping HARD after the banlist trying to play this deck, the logic isn't bad, and the deck is still really strong going first from what I've seen. Have you considered playing a Triple Tactics Thrust rather than the 2nd Talents? Just because it could also give you access to any of your other Normal Spell / Traps and basically tutor anything you need. I also wonder how this deck feels going second game 1, because it doesn't seem like there's a ton of going 2nd potential in the list.
Thanks friend, happy to hear the feedback! Thrust is definitely a possibility, but if I played it I’d 100% just side it. Going first it COULD set metanoise, but there’s not enough good stuff to main it IMO. The going second game is pretty alright game 1, the tears still just command interaction like nobody’s business, the tactics put in work, and the King of the Swamps searching Poly enable an untargettable Guardian Chimera into a board, which is solid. Post-side, the shufflers and most of the traps come out for extra Shaddoll fusions, tactics, and appropriate board breakers for the matchup, in fact I tend to opt for 2nd post-side in a non-trap matchup. TLDR: the deck is… slightly above average going second game 1. Not flawless, but does it good enough consistently enough. Hope this helps!
@@pay8feelgr84 I was thinking the single Thrust would be good to main over the 2nd Talents simply because it would be another "going 2nd" card in your deck. Since two Talents would be redundant (you'll never be able to activate 2 Talents going 2nd if you happen to draw them both) whereas opening Talents + Thrust would be insane, but it's not hurting your chances of having access to Talents by swapping one out for Thrust. Just an idea! But yeah once I thought about it more, I realized getting into a Poly play going 2nd would be the move most often. I like the logic of taking out the shufflers for more going 2nd stuff too. All-in-all this video made me think about Tear more this format that I would have previously! haha
It’s definitely marred by a difficult Kash matchup, but literally every other matchup is soooo good, so I’d probably say tier 2? Maybe in the middle of it tho, right around where a deck like Mathmech is tbh
Thanks for the blue print buddy :D In master duel I run Tears, Ishizu, and a few dangers in my Dinosaur deck, absolutely disgusting and insane Dinosaurs become with Tears, especially with a mirror match of Ishizu Tears. Haven't put the Shalldoll engine though because I hate preventing my opponent from summoning their monsters in such a way when my board is filled with Dinosaurs, Tears, Synchros ect.. The Shall doll is over kill in my opinion but I may use the engine for Platinum and Diamond rank. Right now I'm in Gold 1. The whole Dinosaur combo changes in a way because of the crazy mill power it has. However, I plan to try out a version of the deck based off TCG banlist.
Dude, you're literally probably going to cause a new problem😂😅 Tears is and was by far one of the most terrifying decks out there that Konami had to basically kill off the deck but you're trying to bring it back to life!? I wouldn't be surprised if Tears find their way back at the top, not yet but as new sets are released because before the deck died, Tears were getting stronger and stronger, it was endless! Their power have no limit! But I find Tears a really fun deck because I love milling out my deck :) Again Your build here could be a start for Tears to possibly come back at the top, a highly and possible blueprint for other Tear players to create their own, to eventually creating the perfect formula. Not 100% but just a possibility.
@@rd9669 it’s deeper than kit subs. Kit sub is only needed to make rukallos. Literally not talking about that, kit is the only optimal 2 aqua fusion. Considering she searches and mills 5. No sub fills that gap at all. The deck NEEDS kit

Evenly matched
I’ve eaten my fair share of Evenly, but Tear doesn’t need to commit super hard to the board either, so it’s fine to just end on a name and a trap :D
Very well explained !
Thanks so much! That’s the goal :D
Couldn’t u play 2-3 Danger! Nessie and 2-3 or the Sea Turtle Kaiju would that be relevant?
Okay what would you use instead of Garura cuz I don't feel like dropping $40 on it. I got everything else tho. 😅
Nice profile 😊

Do you think adding a danger jackalope to the danger package would add consistency

Tear tier 2 u think or rogue deck ? :/

So Tearlament. What does it REALLY do? Is it to summon ANY fusion monster or just used to send cards to the graveyard?
Any fusion as long as it is summoned using the name in Grave who activated its effect :D

Reinoheart is actually at 2 😢
Copium.... pure copium. It's time to accept the deck is lower tier.... it's OK. I have tears for tears.
Of course it’s weaker than it was before, but it’s still got gas
Copium to think your off meta deck will be topping xD
my guy has war flashbacks 😂😂
For now, it all depends on what new releases of set because if we all know one thing about Konami, they love doing power creep.
