I have a friend I still talk to from high school that is the fucking embodiment of Duncan, I didn't realize it until recently but now that he has a beard he looks just like him and talks like him and says wacky ass shit just like him, it's insane.
hes my go to when happy, depressed, bored, excited, intoxicated, busy, stressed, lonely, tired, injured, confused, tripping, relaxed, recovering, energetic, in school, creative, and on youtube
They think they're "idiots" who are "butchering" the subjects, but in all reality, if you take it generally, they're speaking some of the scientifically realest and dopest shit possible in the clearest, most common-sense language possible. That's an art in itself.
Yea man. They know a lot of interesting stuff, theyre just making sure to be respectful and not claim any ownership or authority over the subjects I think.
Like einstein said theirs no point in being a scientist if you can't explain it to everyone. Honestly anyone who is curious about the world around them are already scientist.
thersten alot of people love this show because there is something compelling about the kind of an open mind introspective conversations they dive into. It calls to our inability to dive in to being open in our own lives. Bless this podcast for holding a mirror.

it truly is, i wish more people my age could discover these podcasts or even something similar to this sort of “knowledge” that they can digest and reflect on themselves. it feels like as if they’re distracted from reality in a way. who knows, they could have a great understanding and thoroughly enjoy what their life is the way it is now.
haha zen quarterback is exactly it. man i watched this podcast in 2016 and have come back to it now, after living some life & i'm like "maaaan. Duncan was dropping some knowledge and i missed it completely." Without certain tools, one cannot understand. ☺️
Hey, thank you Joe and Duncan! This podcast has had a real positive impact on the way I perceive my personal life circumstances; really helpful and entertaining stuff guys. Thanks again.
+Patrick Lyons The great thing is that you have the power to get bigger than your circumstances. The top circumstances for many people are often money, time, and health. We can always make better choices in each category. So do it. Choose. Require more of yourself. Demand more of yourself. Start saying "no" to some things and "yes" to others. It often comes down to discipline and sacrifice. Successful people(in whatever category) do things that other people don't.
Duncan is seriously my all time favorite guest on Rogan’s podcast! They are such a great pair together! I just love the way they feed off of each other.
Daascravertdooble? Deztrodafiduza? Triiilocene abut dongle! (please help, played your game and have been trapped in hyperspace for 732 days now. McKenna keeps shouting 'this is it!', he won't shut up. The elves have stolen my pants. Help!)
@@stubstunnerThis is me from another you, I'm here and ready to help myself sort myself out of this spatio-temporal conundrum. Lets let out a strong pterodactyl cry at 3am EST, I'm gonna listen intently and see if I can hear myself.
I first caught a JRE with Duncan on about a year and a half ago. The way they talked about Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and DMT really captured my imagination and sparked my curiosity. I kind of look back at it as a pivotal point in my life. I was very depressed and it was like I lost my sense of wonder for this amazing spaceship we inhabit. Fast forward to the present and Im 100% different person (for the better) Joe and duncan mainly, and guys like Graham Hancock, Mckken, ect. along with occasional use of psychedelics have completely turned my attitude and outlook on life around.
Exact same broski! S'like we were going through a stage in life were we were starting to grow, but in order to fully transition we had to question the things we thought we knew, whilst opening ourselves up and taking in these new possibilities. and essentially the ego is battling with the inner self, in order to let go of what we thought we knew. with all these homies hancock, mckenna, duncan, watts, they make this transition easier. you realise you're going through some shit, other people went to. and its like "awhhhhhhh. i've found the homies, on the other side" 😂
When I was in Jr. High and Highschool my dad gave me his recurve bow he used in the late 70s to hunt with. He did get a deer with it. I used that bow to compete with, I was the only one not using a compound. I placed top 3 every time and first in a few events. They are nothing to scoff at, it had a heavy draw weight and it was so much fun. Everyone had those wrist triggers I had the leather finger tips and forearm guard. My arrow rest was a green piece of felt... I loved it!
Jeff Carse Hope you’re still using your skill. It brought ya joy then, it’ll bring ya joy now. And if you’re still an archer? Respect, Sir! Either way, you’re a bad ass with a bow-oh yes you are!
When Joe and Duncan have a podcast together, it's truly something special. The hybridisation of Joe and Duncan's stoner speculatory 'what-ifs' are excellently combined with an almost shaman style self-help therapy session. I feel however specific the anecdotes get, it never veers into becoming too self-loathing and always remains endearing and relatable.
I remember last March I listened to this podcast while having a terrible trip. This truly helped me cope and calm down. Duncan just has a really calm personality.

What a great episode. Duncan's therapy at the end was awesome and made me really think about maintaining my health better. I love the connection these two have.
