    Ok I'm kinda very much a fan of the idea that there are language families that only we as the creators know exist, adds a little spice

    • @cupcakkeisaslayqueen
      @cupcakkeisaslayqueen Рік тому +1

      Yeah, even though in Nekka they know language families, there is an Altaic-like concept, which is the Coastal Ouluruian and Central Ouluruian language families being the same huge family. Even though they are (it's the Ouluruian language family), they are thought to be entirely distinct.

    it was a good touch to give a southeast-us-area conlang nasalized vowels. i've been paying attention to that area in my conlangs too recently

    Could you tell us a bit more about the world your conlangs and -cultures are set in? It seems like a post human world in the future. Correct my if I’m wrong.

    • @AgmaSchwa
      @AgmaSchwa  2 роки тому +17

      Yeah! It takes place about two million years after humans went away, and dog people ended up becoming the new dominant species. In the year 1AR, pups (as I call them in English) in what is today New England discovered replicable remains of human technology and figured out electricity within 100 years. There were many... unexpected consequences of being the equivalent of a classical, or even iron age, society and suddenly having electricity and guns and nuclear power. I'll be beginning a worldbuilding/lore specific series in a couple months most likely, so there's much more in that to come. Plus the comic I'm making!

      @@AgmaSchwa so would msalsm be a valid syllable?

    • @AgmaSchwa
      @AgmaSchwa  2 роки тому +3

      technically yes, but nothing like that evolved organically from Hvasvan. Earlier versions of the language had words like that though.

    • @AgmaSchwa
      @AgmaSchwa  2 роки тому +2

      most of the time nasals ended up altering the sounds around them, but a syllable like this technically could still exist in the language.

    Instead of calling it object case subject case i would call it nominative case and oblique case (which means it is the basic form otherwise)

      by 2000AR pthm is still the literary language of the kingdom of Fifgath up in northern Canada; the spoken language is just an evolved version of pthm, like English compared to Middle English
