Your information regarding monthly payment in NBFCs is absolutely wrong. Most of the NBFC's do provide payment free moratorium period. I think your bias towards nationalised banks has led to you giving out wrong information.
Hi Parth, Before answering, we would like to clear the 2 perspectives. 1) NBFCs can also offer collateral based loans. But, in this episode, as mentioned at the beginning of the video, an NBFC is considered as a non-collateral education loan lender and a govt. bank is considered as a collateral education loan lender. 2) The speaker had told in the video that NBFCs ask to serve at least the partial interest during the moratorium period. Please do not confuse this with the full EMI. However, if the case is not much interesting for them/ riskier for them, they do ask to pay the full interest/ even the full EMI during the moratorium period. Coming to the point, all the unsecured education loan lenders have recently instructed us that, they have mandated the partial repayment of 3K-5K per month. This is especially after the recent NBFCs market crisis and the restrictions put on them by RBI to avoid the situation that happened to IL&FS. As per our knowledge, NBFCs were even asking for it even before this market crisis. Keep the partial interest amount serving during the moratorium period aside, even the unsecured lenders like Avanse have clearly instructed that these days they are 70% focussed on doing secured education loans, rather than unsecured ones which they were actively doing before the market crisis (Sep 2018). Undoubtfully, after the recent amendments and restrictions put in by RBI on unsecured lenders, they are more keen on double checking the case before lending. As part of this, the partial repayment (at least Rs 3K-5K per month) also has been made mandatory. Above all, as we shared in the previous comment of yours, via Loanflix web series, we're here giving the best information in a rightmost way. Nothing has been told blatantly without any research/ market study. Therefore, after watching the episodes and comparing options, if you feel that nationalized banks are better, then that might be true. At least students who were qualified to go for a nationalized bank will refrain and rethink on going to the NBFC for a short term comfort. Thanks so much for the comment!

WMS twisted me to take loan from AVanse , I have paid 2 lakhs insurance amount for loan amount of Rs.35 lakhs . Initially AVanse has Sanctioned my loan at 11.5% but within 2 years they have increased my interest rate to 13.7% . Shame on you WMS team
Hi Deepak, I cannot see anyone named Deepak Kumar in the database who has got a sanction from Avanse via WeMakeScholars. If you are a genuine customer and needs a solution, then please share your registered email-id or phone no. or write to us at hello@wemakescholars. We will speak to Avanse and try to sort this. I am kind of sure that you are not a genuine customer because our students know that the service of WMS doesn't end at Sanction and if there is any issue, they call us instead of writing on UA-cam. Looking forward to hearing from you ASAP.
Hi you have said that there is a moratorium period for both kinds of loans however you have mentioned that for NBFCs immidiately after disbursement(1 month) you need to start repayment. Doesn't this mean you don't have a moratorium period? Also you haven't mentioned method of compounding. In public sector banks when you get the first disbursement is given, what happens to the loan amount? Does the interest immidiately start ticking and increasing the principle value until the emi is started 2.5 years in future? Or do the banks not charge any interest until the start of the repayment period?
Hi, Vasanth! NBFCs have a moratorium period but only for the EMIs. You will have to make interest payments even during the moratorium period, which doesn't happen with government banks. Government banks only charge interest after the moratorium period. If you haven't yet gotten in touch with WeMakeScholars, you can do so by requesting a callback on this link: bit.ly/education-loan
is it possible take a loan on liquid assets and but its value isn't that much as I require, so get a unsecured loan also with it. basically a collateral and non-collateral loan at the same time?
Hi, Roshan! Some lenders do offer partially secured loans, if you meet the eligibility criteria for it. For further guidance on the same, please connect to our loan team by requesting a callback on this link: bit.ly/education-loan Once you fill out the form, they will get back to you to guide you further.
If the co-applicant is a salaried employee, ITR of two years is to be submitted to the lending bank while applying for an education loan. If the co-applicant is self-employed, lending banks/financial institutions require an ITR of three years. As you have mentioned, an ITR of two years can also be sufficient when you apply through us. You may request a callback from our financial team @ bit.ly/wmscallback and they will get back to you at the earliest. Thank you for writing to us.
Hello ma'am, I have few questions. 1. I'm from andhra and my collateral property is in Bangalore. In this case, which location public bank will provide loan? 2. Can my brother become my co-applicant who is working in USA? Thanks in advance.
Hi, Mohankrishna! It would be possible to apply from your permanent address if the collateral is in another city. Usually, banks don't agree to this but WeMakeScholars has dealt with many such cases successfully. Yes, it is possible for an NRI to be the co-applicant. We will need some more details to guide you further. Please connect to our loan team by requesting a callback on this link: bit.ly/education-loan
Hi, Sudeep! Unlike banks, NBFCs have no issues with transferring the entire amount to your account. Hello! Your loan officer Shabbir Ahmed has spoken to all the public sector banks that operate in Nandurbar region ... only SBI has the provision to make pre-visa disbursement for the purpose of creation of blocked account...
Hi, Mayuresh! The benefits of loan insurance are that with some banks you get a discount on the rate of interest, and it protects the co-applicant in case something goes wrong. Have you decided if you're taking a loan with a public bank or a private bank? Because the insurance policies differ from bank to bank. Please get in touch with our loan team here: bit.ly/education-loan They will help you find the best option. Good luck! 🙂
Hi a great video. I have only one doubt, I planning to opt for a secured loan but my concern is will bank consider my agriculture land as collateral or private and government bank differ in their policy regarding types of collateral can be used?

Hey but when I enquired at SBI about the education loan they said they will start emi as soon as the disbursement so in such case partial interest from nbfc would be a better option?
Hi Chetan! For your information SBI doesn't start EMI as soon as they disbursement the amount they do it after the moratorium period. For further guidance on the same please connect to our loan team by requesting a callback on this link:bit.ly/education-loan Once you fill out the form, they will get back to you to guide you further.
Hi, Secured loan is where you mortgage an acceptable collateral and an unsecured loan is a loan without collateral. Also, it is important to note that banks do not accept all types of collateral. To more about which collateral comes under the banks' list, it is strongly advised to check your eligibility with the Financial Officer, they will dig for the best possible deals on your profile and help you secure the best offer out of all 14 leading lenders in the market today! Wait no longer and connect with them right away by requesting a call back here: bit.ly/48cTdcR. The team will get in touch and help you throughout your loan process. Good luck:)

Why is WeMakeScholars recommending VidyaLoans for unsecured loans ? Is there a specific reason? WeMakeScholars do not charge anything but VidyaLoans do charge 11,800 for unsecured loan. I am confused!
Hi, Sowmiya! Students are connected to VidyaLoans when they require a 7.5 lakhs unsecured loan from government banks. You will have to pay a processing fee to them for this. Please reach out to your Financial Officer for further guidance.

Ma'am mai next year abroad study ke liye jaunga but kiya mai abhi WMS ko call kar sakta hu.... Q ki mujhe documents collect karna hoga! Please answer me..!??😇🙏
Hi Damini Hope you are doing good. As you have several videos that there is no need for co-applicant and collateral for education loan, but after getting in touch with case officer she told me it’s difficult to get loan without anything. I’m confused since both the statements are contradicting. Please look into this so that we have a clarity on what has shown on video and what is reality. Thank you
Hi Nishi! FYI co-applicant would be mandatory for any type of loan either secured/unsecured and getting an unsecured loan depends on multiple factors and it is different from case to case. Your Financial Officer will be reaching out to you regarding the same.
Yeah right! They all write this in their ads and then after applying ,they deny or reject the loan. I'm also stuck at this issue. If there is any way out of it please let me know!!
Hi mam..my course is starting at Sept 21 so when should I start with the loan procedure ??...I am also waiting for my applied scholarships answer which will come in June July probably so that I can have a estimate of education loan that I require...kindly suggest ...thank you in advance

Hi Damini, trust this message finds you well. I recently contacted WMS for help with a student loan. However, I'm not sure if the Financial Officer I've been assigned is able to help me well enough. I do not have a co-applicant with income-proof and she insists that I need to somehow try to find someone who does have income-proof and is willing to be my co-applicant. However, this video of yours clearly indicates that WMS can help with a government-bank student loan even in cases where the co-applicant has no income-proof. Looking forward to your help and advice, Damini. Thank you.

Hello. Is it possible to get unsecured loan of 7.5 lakhs for abroad study., as i have read that, this amount doesnt require any security/ collateral. What will be the process to get this loan
Hello Reyah, most government banks do process collateral-free education loans upto Rs. 7.5 Lacs. But this type of loan is not recommended as the paperwork involved is too much. Moreover, it is designed for domestic education and does not meet the requirements of abroad study loan. To find out the best unsecured loan options, speak to our loan team here: bit.ly/education-loan

Hi Yaswanth! CIBIL is one of the most important parameter for an education loan application, where both the applicant and co-applicants CIBIL is checked. We suggest you speak to our loan officers about it. They will try to dig below the surface and exactly understand what went wrong and whether there is any way out. The reasons for the low score are quite important. Many times we have negotiated for students whose co-applicants had CIBIL scores as low as 600. You can sign up for a discussion with our team here: bit.ly/education-loan

Ma'am government bank isn't an option for me as I already got three rejections from there due to legal opinion for my collateral. I don't have an OC and my property comes under gram panchayat regulation but colony has approval from town planning association. I want to take a secured loan from NBFC, are they a little lenient about the OC or I will face the same problems with them too?
Hi, Tushar! I believe your Financial Officer got in touch with you regarding this. Hope your queries have been resolved. Please feel free to reach out to him for any further questions.

Hi, Mohit! For a secured education loan you would require collateral like non-agricultural land, house, flat, FD, insurance policy or govt. bonds. Third party collateral is also accepted. If that is not possible, you can go for an unsecured loan from a private bank/NBFC for which you would require a co-applicant with a strong financial profile who files ITR. For further guidance from our team with the loan process, please get in touch by requesting a callback on this link: bit.ly/education-loan

But WMS has outsourced govt loans to external agency Vidya Loans and they ask for 11,000 processing fee just to start your application process and later bank might again ask for their processing fee.
Hi Dear, No, we haven't outsourced anything to anyone. And please note that WeMakeScholars is free and will always be. For all those cases below 7.5 lacs non-collateral education loans from GOVT banks, we are not authorized to handle applications directly. We are working with VidyaLoans only for such cases. Anything above 7.5 lacs, we can directly handle it. Hope it is clear.
Is it possible to get an unsecured loan from NBFCs with my father (Retired and recieving pension, with ITRs for more than 3 yrs) as co-signer ? I won't get sufficient loan as per our non-agricultural land as collateral, that's why.

Hi Damini, thank you for the info. I am looking for a collateral loan for me and my twin sister for Master's for this fall. I have a question that 1)what should be the *value* of the collateral in such a case considering that we want to go for a 60lac loan *each.* If we want to go with the same collateral for the loan. 2) If the same collateral cannot be used would u recommend NBFC's in our case? Please let me know your views on the same. Thanks a lot for the info! in advance Hoping to get a reply as soon as possible.
Hi Falak, The value of the collateral has to be either be equal to the loan amount or it should be more than the loan amount. please go through this video which discusses on how collateral is valued : ua-cam.com/video/C1vbCwz8cGs/v-deo.html. Hi, Trishvanth! When that video came out, public banks were interested in starting the unsecured loan of higher amounts as NBFCs were also doing this. But then NBFCs briefly stopped unsecured loans so the plan was put on hold. Now that NBFCs are giving unsecured loans again, the plan may be resumed. Hi Syed, I understand you are struggling. But, the property you have put up is not fit as collateral for any bank. That's the issue. You are left with 2 options below: 1) Change your country to Canada/ Germany/ USA to gan et unsecured education loan. 2) Arrange another property from a third party source/ relatives/ family friends.
Hi Syed, unfortunately, due to your collateral issue, no public bank can qualify you for a collateral education loan. Also, we are not authorized to assist with the 7.5 lacs or below cases. Hence, you may have to visit the nearest branch and then start the process. I'm sure we tried our best for you!
Hey Damini, I had requested a new call back as the previous financial officer didn't respond properly and sounded like a trainee. Very nice episodes here on this channel thank you for sharing such valuable information.
Sachin, can you please share the email address with which you had requested a callback the first time? Also, pls share the new callback request email address. Hi, Rahul! Building plan is mandatory for a secured loan. But you always have the option of speaking to the bank empanelled lawyer to see if they are willing to give you a positive report in the absence of this document. If a secured loan from a public bank is not possible, you can always go for an unsecured loan from a private bank/NBFC. Respected Ma'ma I want to join Flying academy, Miami, Florida USA. I need an unsecured loan of 40L. I neither have any co-applicant nor my parents have any fixed and good salary per month. What is the option for me?
Hi, Gaurish! Your information regarding monthly payment in NBFCs is absolutely wrong. Most of the NBFC's do provide payment free moratorium period. I think your bias towards nationalised banks has led to you giving out wrong information.
Hi Parth,
Before answering, we would like to clear the 2 perspectives.
Same thing happened with me..

Do we (applicant) need have an ITR for applying secured or unsecured loan?
Coapplicant is filing his ITR since 2 years.

If that is not possible, you can go for an unsecured loan from a private bank/NBFC for which you would require a co-applicant with a strong financial profile who files ITR. Hello Micheal! Sorry to hear that. Kindly share your registered email address so we can locate your profile.

1)what should be the *value* of the collateral in such a case considering that we want to go for a 60lac loan *each.* If we want to go with the same collateral for the loan.
2) If the same collateral cannot be used would u recommend NBFC's in our case? Please let me know your views on the same.
