@@DJMovieReviews no. The director confirmed in an interview that he wants to leave the time travel stuff from mk 11 behind and restart everything a new. He tried to do that with mk 9 but he had a massive timeskip afterwards which ruined chances of expanding on stories so they just rebooted everything again.
Great reaction guys…1st off Shang tsung need to chill bruh cause Liu kang is not about that bullshit yo deadass ready to catch a body cause he tired of people tryna fuck wit the timeline…and what’s so fun about this being a reboot is that there are so many possible routes that this could go. Subzero/Scorpion and Mileena/Katana could be cool from jump this time round hell we could even get a serious Johnny cage(doubt it but who knows). Hopefully we get gameplay at the PlayStation event next week

At the end of MK11 Fire god Liu Kang created a new universe, so this is his new universe, no more time traveling like the last game.
I still think there’s going to be some type of timeline travel in this game

The first one had a good story line nostalgia limited but everyone still enjoy those movies because of what it is.
