- Jackson Hastings has been crowned the Steve Prescott Man of Steel, 2019 following a season long vote by a panel of Rugby League legends chaired by Ellery Hanley.

What an incredibly humble young man. Pleased for him
Very humble, self-aware, classy humble figure off the pitch.
As a player he is the best in the competition. Absolute competitor with good physical fitness, real aggression and toughness. Good passing skillset, good kicking skillset, reads the game better than anyone else on the pitch, has fends, dummies, steps, pace, strength, never say die attitude and a good engine. Can score tries under pressure and can set up tries out of nothing. Enjoyed watching him all year. Consistently outstanding every week.

Lomax should of got man of steel not hastings
Scary to think of this guy at Wigan next year - he's an incredible talent, so I hope we can cope with him against Saints (starting next week!). Have to feel for Salford though - they have an amazing season, and then immediately lose players like this, which puts them on the revolving door again. I wish they and other teams could protect their talent longer, so that we have more than just a few teams that are competitive for silverware each season. From a Saints perspective, Lomax, Makinson and several forwards have been huge for us this year - hope to see them holding this trophy next year.

This whole carry on shows that he truly lacks maturity. I for one would not be bothered if he performs a u-turn on his contract with Wigan. He needs to grow up quickly, or there could be trouble for him again in the not too distant future.
