The reason our country is soooo expensive as you can see, is because most of the touristic places here are full of expats, US and Europe mainly, this has been both good and bad for many locals since it creates job opportunities but at the same time locals have been displaced from these areas as it is not affordable to live there unless you have US or European salaries. Hot water and AC, may not be normal on other Central American countries but in Costa Rica it is, I hope you enjoyed your stay.
Yeah we noticed many expats during our travels but our favourite interactions were with the locals. I can’t say we blame them, who wouldn’t want to live in such a beautiful country BUT we understand it’s a difficult thing to balance. Hi Ash! I had the group ride whilst I flew the drone, but with the magic of editing we made it look like I was riding in the group 😅 🫶 I am unfortunately not good enough to ride a horse and fly a drone at the same time!
Sadly no 😓 we only spent a short time in Costa Rica because it is a more expensive country and we are trying to travel for as long as possible. We would love to come back and visit the Caribbean too.
We’re not actually vegan but prefer to eat plant based when possible. But it’s probably because most vegans do it for the environmental or animal cruelty reasons not because they don’t like meat 🤷♀️
I can respect the idea of getting behind environmental and animal cruelty issues and I definitely want my own garden one day but I really hope one day they stop calling there vegan recipes by animal names lol So strange 🤣🤣
