Finlands small 1-car train | VR Dm12 | Hanko railway line

On the small rural railway lines in Finland you might come across the Dm12 diesel railbus serices Dm12 operated by National railway company VR. This tiny 1 car train is mostly used on rural branch lines but can be coupled together to form longer trains.
In this video we take a quick look at one of these trains on the Hanko to Karjaa railway line in Southwest Finland.

Tätä pientä yksivaunuista junayksikköä käytetään lähinnä maaseudun sivulinjoilla, mutta se voidaan kytkeä yhteen pidemmiksi juniksi. ahhh, Dm12, mostly known for setting itself on fire.
theres only 16 of these in finland but theres been 13 incidents with fire involved with this railbus :D

Nice short overview of this DMU. Tusen tak! I made a short train ride video between Ekenäs/Tammisaari - Karis/Karjaa, which is in my channel currently, a few years ago. Currently there's no rail service between Karis and Hanko due to electrification, but I hope the service will resume soon. This might also mean that the DMU's might get replaced by EMU's.
There are also plans that direct regional trains could operate this line from Helsinki in the near future.

I rode the 4411 unit Karjaa - Hanko and back on August 4 2008! Was in a different livery back then.
