I don’t think there will ever be a group of musicians “band” to ever bring such beautiful sounds together at one time than PINK FLOYD. Even in 2024 they are still ahead of there time and well past everyone today. I am a PINK FLOYD fan forever,,,,,,,,,,,,

@Rick H I wish I could have seen Led Zeppelin the most! I can still see Alison Krauss & Robert Plant this summer though! Everyone is touring this summer! Your list makes me jealous! Did see Hotel California tour 1976. Fleetwood Mac, Dan Fogelberg -many times, Jackson Browne - many times - Eagles many times - James Taylor & Carole King together - amazing...John Foggerty REM many others! But my greatest disappoint is RUSH. Had tickets for Red Rocks & took my son for his 13the bday. Rain clouds came in Typical Colorado Weather....Canceled the Concert!!! Sun came out in 30 minutes - beautiful! My son did get to see them & Now Neal is gone! RIP The Outlaws would have been so great.........Your list sounds like you are from the South Oh I forgot say Def Leopard , too. Mind fart thing! Marshall Tucker Would have been great, too! Grew up in Louisiana & Tennessee...but I love livin' in Colorado. Saw the Stones in the Superdome!

I saw this show in Minneapolis in 1987, and I remember being disappointed at the time, mostly with the album, but also with the show. I couldn't get past the loss of Roger. But I watched the video a few years later (and again today), and I realized what an incredible show this was in its own right. They were the absolute undisputed masters of the live show, and even without Roger, they delivered a show that was completely up to their own high standards.
Roger's solo career was equally disappointing to me for a long time, but when I saw him tour The Wall in 2013, and I heard the things he had to say about his own shortcomings and his role in what happened, along with his amazingly improved vocal abilities since I'd seen him last, and that in the middle of the most amazing stage show I've ever seen, all was well again. Dave, Roger, and Nick, much love. Rick, RIP, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

There all musical genius so sad Richard Wright left us so early and soon,Dave Gilmour his probably plays with more feel and emotions then any guitarist a timeless prodigy and I think Nick Mason is going me of the best drummer's ever and doesn't get the notice he deserves,a truly phenomenal band.

I was too young to appreciate Pink Floyd in it's original form. Of course I knew of the band, but had it not been for David Gilmore's decision to put out new albums and tour in the late 1980s and early 1990s, I never would have had the chance to experience a live Floyd show, which I ultimately did in 1994 in Madison, Wisconsin. Look, I cherish and appreciate Roger and David and their contributions, but it was David who extended the gifts of this band to one more generation and I will forever be grateful for that. Not to mention Learning to Fly was glorious in its own right

I used to know another roadie who gave us all great insight into Floyd n said forget Pink he's gone ..hilarious. but it's an in house story so hhmmm . Best of plants aswel . Aren't we lucky to have lived thru it all & seen n felt the reality of their songs play out in real life. As he casually leans on the bar , he can hide hide hide behind ??? Take care .

Wasn't it though! Was just thinking of the same thing awhile back that the innovation and musicianship that, that generation brought us just isn't matched this day and age! And you have to wonder, with all the new technology that is available these days, why hasn't there been a 2021 version of a band on the same level as Pink Floyd? Don't get me wrong though, there are some fine musicians up and coming and I'll commend anyone that try to make a living in music or to become an artist in any field. Sometimes I really hate the computer age lol! Merry Christmas! Stay safe!

@@gph3364 Agree that there are some fine musicians, but a Band of this caliber, class and innovation, in my opinion, cannot be again! Could be wrong! Times are different, gone by and lost is the age of innocence, gone with grace and sadly, what has replaced them! Delusions of grandeur! They were unique, I'm happy to have lived during the generation that brought us all these great Bands. D. Gilmore, my go to, for great guitar playing; exceptional guitar player and vocals.

You're right! At the very first concert I ever attended, Alice Cooper, in '73 I ended up next to an interesting pair of people. The Coliseum was of course packed. But I saw a small space in the section of seats for the press. I ducked and wove my way there and squeezed in. I almost couldn't believe my eyes! I was next to this beautiful, extravagent woman. She was with a hippy sort of guy who I learned later was a journalist. She had on this full length silver sequin or lurex or something halter top dress with a long feather boa. She had an amazing head of frizzy wavy blond hair, big platform silver sandals and heavily made up eyes (think Edie Sedgewick). I was only thirteen, from the working class town of Tacoma. I had never seen anyone like her in real life. She smiled big at me and scooted over so i could sit. We sat on the press box table during the whole show. They shared their pot with me. It was wonderful. The guy was some big journalist she later whispered to me. I didn't care. She was the glitter for me, until Alice came on, that is. He was amazing. Unfortunately that was the show he got arrested at for obscenity. Not hip at all. I was so embarrassed for the Pacific Northwest.
Oh, I saw Pink Floyd, too in like 1975. It was the tour for Shine on You Crazy Diamond. Unfortunately no crashing giant pig, And that was a wild set of circumstances that got me there. But that's another story!

So Thank You for your reply. (Probably someone reading these was thinking, "No! Don't encourage her!" lol! Oh well. I've lived a long and interesting life, I have so many stories! In this world now lost and almost at the end of the total destruction of our life we are left with a great musical work of these fantastic artists unique in the world and of all times and who knows if the next generations of the future that will survive someone will have kept an archive of all the albums of PINK FLOYD transmitting it into space. Infinite as they are immortal for all the centuries without end and there is no suitable term anything we would say always has a limit for us humans Bravissimi all the members of the band and especially the chorus of these girls Great in the harmony of all the songs I can't find words and phrases what I felt in my heart I wrote it can never be erased

I'm a 62 year old man. I've never seen these guys. I've listened to the all my life. And I love them and there music. We don't have much more time them and I. I seat here in tears. My fillings are on my sleeves as they say. I learned yesterday that Jeff Beck died.-----_-----. In 1980. I was in the Air Force stationed near Philadelphia. My room mate Frank Landram, Chris Sikawski and myself left the base on two motorcycles. Dropped three hits of acid. About a two hour ride. Landed at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Scalped three front row tickets to Jeff Becks Blow by Blow. And four more purple 💜 barrows. Acid. Awesome concert. Jeff looked straight at me when I lit a cigarette lighter with a one foot flame. I mean we were front stage and center. God. I can't believe he's gone. We were seeing things on the way back. Saw the sun rise that morning. Life is so short. Pink Floyd is bringing me through another heart felt felling. Thanks you guys. So long Jeff. Love you brother.

Looking back at those days now I believe so. Graduated in 1980 and had the World by the tail. All these years later and the World had turned around, chased me down and ran me over. Such is life and I'm grateful for everything both good and bad. Seemed like the 80's and 90's everyday was an adventure with none stop experiences.

I saw Pink Floyd twice, Both times in Indianapolis. I think the first time was 1988. I won tickets from a radio station and I took my GF and my sister who had never met before and that did not go well. The second time was 1994 when I went with a woman I worked with and i had a bit of a crush on. She liked me as well, but it didn't pan out. Both shows were wonderful. Then I saw Roger Waters at Deercreek in Fishers, IN. that was outstanding. I took my friend Ross Buskirk Chumley. Yes,.. the Buskirk Chumley who donated a million dollars to have the Indiana Theater in Bloomington renovated. IT's a great 900 seat venue now.
