Adrienne doesn't know the systemic issues that disadvantages students academically especially black, Indigenous and brown students. Education was never equitable to begin with, so this kind of "reward" system actually oppresses students experiencing poverty and discrimination from systemic institution's like schools. It's the black and brown students who get affected the most. So this is definitely not a good idea.
During girl chat I agree with Tamar, Jeannie, Tamera, and Loni. Adrienne was wrong ALL kids do deserve nice meals I don't care if they have a A or a C no kid should be shamed at their grade just to get lunch at school. Adrienne is talking about Privileges for lunch, what she said made no sense! Yes, a child should be rewarded for good grades but don't make the other children feel bad because they are struggling in school.
Also not all kids are equal. Some are good at academics, some are good at other skills. Kids come from different backgrounds. Celebrate them kids. Not segregate them.
It may be a NY thing. They are tougher on children there. I remember my school would tell us legally they didn’t even have to serve lunch to high school students and pulled that on us all the time. Went the whole day hungry.
A lot of kids have some really messed up homes and don’t have the privilege to study at home like other kids and I think this is discrimination against them because not all kids are gonna speak out about issues like that etc.
My kids get field trips for good behavior and that also have awards ceremonies to honor those who are well behaved or those who earn good grades. Lunchtime isn't the time to pick who eats first based on grades, a celebration can be made for those who are excelling in school. Also, a lot of children only get to eat the school meal and don't have food at home. They should not be forced to wait if their grades aren't high enough. I am thankful to be able to provide for my kids and to also give them incentives at home for good behavior and grades
I’m sorry but munchkin, baby what were you thinking?! Food is a necessity not a privilege… that’s the problem… we as adults want to show children “real life” scenarios at every damn turn! There’s other alternatives… that’s why things like honor roll private luncheons or pizza parties are available! Putting a child at the end of the line doesn’t do anything except encourage bullying from both ends & also embarrassment… that’s not fair
@@SunnyGhandle but the thing is what if all the children are good… what’s next because of the fact u got a B ot a C on a test ur not considered smart or as good as the rest… the results still remain the same based on the “privilege “ of said actions that allow the children to get rewarded…
@@MajesticMyronn you guess the east way to manage that is to say if you reach your target grade? Or you move up a grade/maintain the current grade if your getting straight As. Every kid is different and each have their own goals to reach and need encouragement. I don’t think the food line is the best idea but with better management it might be help in some way. I agree with Tamera suggestions more
It is better to celebrate those high achiever kids at school like "best students award" or something. The school can award them with trophies, certificates, gifts etc. This will motivate other students to work harder.
Aw imagine traveling for a television interview and then they run out of time for your segment? Happy they were still able to interview Jadakiss and show it.
“ that’s life” yes but not at lunchtime lol it should be an equal playing field. Maybe like kids that excel get extra snacks or a pizza party but we are talking about lunchtime lol a break in the middle of the day to fuel your stomach and decompress. It’s already sone sense of separation as sone kids can’t afford school lunch
Tamars. "That's your daddy?" was sooo funny. Her daddy WAS trying her. Somethings up there. He didn't have to say anything about men not liking big women. It was like he wants her to feel bad about herself. she needs to stay away from him. He is unwell and I think jealous ( and his wife)
Hi edagdwg enjoy hearing this special man singing love songs god bless him as a real child of God true love is real enjoy it god at work Linda j. Peace
Hi edagdwg god bless them all this is crazy these are children pay attention to what grown people are doing to children Miss A is sad she doesn't think before she speaks she will step on you to get what she wants sad Linda that's up to your parents not the schools pay attention Linda j. Peace
I know this is old….but Adrienne honey… it’s FOOD FOR A KID. That’s not a privilege. It’s a NECESSITY. WAY different than a gold star and a prize
I think she knew that and worded it wrong. The privilege is getting food _first_ in line, not that you get food at all.

I do agree that the kids who do well should get a treat/trip or something but it should have nothing to do with their food.
A lot of kids have some really messed up homes and don’t have the privilege to study at home like other kids and I think this is discrimination against them because not all kids are gonna speak out about issues like that etc.

The school should not use lunch time as a reward . Food is important to children and to put some in the back.
