You did a great job demonstrating the guitar. I appreciate that you made a product review video, no need to explain why you did. It's obvious your mind gravitated to the many possible situations a person could use the guitar in and shared with us. You're a good man. I hope your channel continues to grow.
What an ingenious instrument! I seem to remember a frame only guitar years ago but it wasn’t anything like this! A real game changer! Of course Fil makes it sound even better!👏🏻👏🏻
Yamaha made/makes their SLG200, both in steel and nylon version, but it's only the biggest curved piece that is removable. It does reduce the size significantly, but nothing like this. It is light, though it's the same length as a normal guitar, but the width is reduced by perhaps a third. It all helps, of course, and it is far easier to transport and carry around than a regular one. The Mogabi is indeed a true gamechanger.
Wow, kudos to the Mogabi developers, they have really thought of everything with this guitar! I also like how you decided to try things first before reading all the instructions, because that gives us a good idea of how intuitive it is. So many cool details with this guitar, great job showing how all of this functionality can be used!
I just had to come back, because I'm truly impressed with this piece of equipment. I am an amateur guitarist. I use an old Tascam DR40 to make home recordings of my works. It's digital, eliminates purchasing additional equipment needed with other systems, and inexpensive! However, like you pointed out, I find it hard to play a great take, when half my concentration is keeping an eye on the recording. Pressing a button on the guitar and just play, sounds great! And I've been wanting a travel guitar, but more compact than what's available......And I still can't believe it sounds that good! Thank you again!
This is exactly what I was looking for during Covid, when we were camping, in hotels etc. I ended up using a standard guitar with a cheap interface into a laptop, but this really covers the angles, and at a very realistic price. I hate the idea of traveling and having no means of recording a song. And, as described, something turns up at 3:00 AM and how do you capture it without waking up your partner? I do it now through an unplugged electric guitar in the bathroom, but all I am doing is laying down the fingering - this would actually record the sequence. I love this idea. The sound is a bit basic, but such a great start, and I wouldn't have to remember a song for hours until it is decent to record it at volume. I totally get what it is trying to do, and it totally gets what I'm trying to do - now that's a combination!
Thanks for the product review. I’m not a musician, but I am a “techie”, so any innovation in our wonderful world of computing and communication is great to see. Kudos to the inventors and to you for sharing.
That was so cool! I always appreciate that your channel is not full of commercials for this & that product/service. I understand people need to make money. But I watch a million different channels on varying topics and I am just burned out on it. But this was great fun!
So cute watching you get so excited with this. Reminds of my son,now 31, when we bought him his first real guitar, his Gibson Night Hawk, at the age of 12.. He had already been playing for a bit so we knew he was serious. This is a great piece.of equipment. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Looks like my sons getting something new to add to his ever growing arsenal maybe for his birthday.👍😉
Geesh!!!....me too. I'm a drummer - but I found this entire presentation and Fil's explanation utterly fascinating. This instrument is ingenious. Fil's enthusiasm sells it. Mogabi Guitars did the exact right thing by sending him one!
Excellent review. Your enthusiasm for the product is evident. It appears to be a more nicely appointed version of the Enya Nexg guitar (more wood, less plastic) although almost twice as expensive. What began with the Yamaha Silent guitars have matured and grown speakers. However, not to be negative, I noticed you had assembled the side rails in reverse. The long side goes on top so that the guitar will accommodate a strap with proper balance. I refer you to their website for comparison…
It sounds nice, and that's #1; add on all the features, and wow! I was hoping you would keep playing for six hours. Thanks for the most excellent tour.
I'm not a guitar player but still found this analysis very interesting and what the Mogabi can do. your demonstrations and time stamps seem easy to follow along if I was a guitar player. a cool thumbs up by me Fil.👍
Very cool guitar. I'd be more inclined to try to learn again with a guitar like that one! Thanks for the great showcase of the product. Curiosity is definitely piqued!
What a fiendishly wonderful instrument! I am NOT a musician (there are whole chapters of the Geneva Convention about me not being allowed near musical intruments!) but did have a quick look at the webpage for it - nice to see you on their too - and noticed they have bass spelled correctly on the one they show! One thing not referenced at all is how much storage space there is for recordings - either by size of RAM (MB/GB, etc.,) or by length of time. For what it is and does I think the price shown is about as outstanding as the instrument itself.
LOVE that guitar!!! It gives off an Emerson, Lake and Palmer vibe/tones. And yes I realize it was the tunes you chose to demonstrate it's capabilities.
Hi! That guitar is so cool. It's got great sound, great looks and lots of useful features. It feels weightless. What a treat!! Thanks, Fil. Keep having fun with it 🖤
I travel a lot with work and would love a practical travel guitar - I’ve tried a few. The problems with travel guitars are 1) playing position and 2) balance. “Stick” guitars are impossible to play if you aren’t standing up, because the guitar does not fit to your body and the playing areas on the neck and over the pickups/sound hole just end up in the wrong place for your hands. Most “stick” guitars are totally headstock heavy and you end up trying to rig up the strap to stop the headstock from diving towards the ground. This guitar looks like it tries to solve these problems by having 1) attachable sides and 2) the speaker section acting as a counterweight to the headstock. Might work. But it looks like it suffers from a third problem - 3) price. At heading for $1000 it would have to be a very, very good guitar.
First of all I'm not a musician but I love everything when it is about music. This is so amazing, thank you so much for taking time making this video Fil. Brilliant idea! 🎸🎶
Hi Fil, This guitar is amazing! The BT, usb and record features are great. It’s so true if you get interrupted during the creative thought process you can quickly lose focus on what you were meaning to do. Very detailed explanation which I’m sure will be a help to budding guitarists and professionals alike. Thank You for sharing and demonstrating this unique, compact and innovative musical experience. Great job being at the forefront of embracing how technology can be user friendly for all to enjoy! Have a great night… Debbie ☮️
Wowzah! What a BUNCH of innovation! Beautifully demonstrated, too. I remember the "Baby Taylor" as a travel guitar. It was cute, but it never stayed in tune very long. *sigh*
Fil, just wanted to add that, without showing it that much, you were really happy and excited-like getting the present you wanted Father Christmas to put for you under the tree! I share your excitement! It’s like an iPad guitar-well, almost. 😅 Take care and God bless you and your loved ones, Marianne aka Celtic Gal. Rock on! 23:50
I was a little let down that you didn't record this video while skydiving so that we could really get a sense of the guitar's incredible functionality! 😁Seriously, This Mogabi guitar is really cool! You explained all the features splendidly. I would say this guitar is perfect for any level player who wants all that functionality along with the freedom to play or practice anywhere.
Looks and sounds like a useful guitar as well as a beautiful one. And now you can create your own backing tracks for Fil Jams! Looking forward to seeing and hearing you play it again.
I always used a technique when I was away from my guitar. I would touch my fingers to my thumb in order, back to front, then alternately. I still do this even though I cannot play guitar anymore, but it really helps with piano too, if I do both hands, for creating speed in muscle memory. This technique does work better for guitar though. It keeps my fingers limber.
I am so glad you did this video!! I saw you with it in another video and went and searched your videos hoping to get a view to see what kind it was. So, thank you for doing the video with so much info.
Amazing, it very much reminds me of my Yamaha Silent Guitar(TM). But looking at the Silent Guitar, I wonder if you might have to swap the outer frames - which then gives it the appearance of a single cut guitar.
Wow! This completely blew my old school tendencies away. Looks like they really thought of everything - and its aesthetics are very cool! You can now set up your own complete Fil-Jam for the end of the live streams. Looks to be a good learning guitar (although a pricey one) since it allows you to hear what you've played. Thanks for a great demonstration, Fil - glad you made an exception for this one.
Fil, you mentioned the word ‘busking’. That’s what some famous artists, like Mr. Joan Miro, did to make money at night. He painted during the day and played violin at night (ie, busking!) A beautiful piece-it should be in a museum! But I’m so happy for you and your ‘busking’ Mogabi. Six hours to play is great and the adjustable tone is phenomenal. They, Mogabi couldn’t have had a better spokesperson. God bless, Marianne aka Celtic Gal ❤😊 11:16
An all in one guitar that can do everything, how cool is that! I like the idea that it's compact and easy to carry around anywhere you go. It looks and sounds great, especially when you play it! 😁
Cappuccino maker is a gd idea but that’s a drink for adults and mafioso but if ya throw in a smoothly dispenser and a shake maker this is the greatest guitar of all time
With a bit of trepidation, several years ago I bought a (used) Journey Overhead carbon fiber travel guitar. It's an acoustic guitar, just a bit smaller than full-size, but it snaps apart and fits in a backpack-like case not much bigger than the case you show here. "Game changer" is a good term for this purchase in my case-unexpectedly so. Firstly, I was surprised at how good it sounds acoustically, and how great it feels to play (it sounds significantly better than other better-known carbon fibers guitars I'd tried, at least as of a few years ago). It's a bit quieter than a similar-sized wood guitar, but the tone is great. Second, forget about the travel aspect for the moment-just having a really good quality guitar that's virtually indestructable has been great just for home playing. I just leave it out 24/7. I don't have to worry about humidity or cold or dust. So there's always a good and inspiring guitar just sitting on its stand, at hand, which has led me to play more than I did before (with good-quality guitars that I kept in their cases, esp. in the winter with case humidifiers). Finally, for travel, even for car travel (where size doesn't matter, and I don't take advantage of its foldability), it's been great to have a guitar that I can leave in the car without worrying about heat or cold. I now can bring a guitar with me on every car trip. So, again, it's led me to play more. It's been one of the best musical investments I've ever made. Here's a great demo of the Journey Overhead by acoustic guitar wizard Don Ross: ua-cam.com/video/4TFTvSe08Kg/v-deo.html. -Tom PS: The previous owner put Graph Tech Ratio Tuners on the guitar. Wow, I love those tuners! And my Journey has their burnt orange color on the top, which is reminiscent of wood; I really like it.
What a cool and fascinating guitar! Great to practice with for traveling musicians, very compact. And as a lefty, love the interchangeable body parts feature!👍
Being battery powered, I hope that the instructions include best-practice info on the charging process. I'm just assuming that no radically new tech has been invented just for this (quite amazing) guitar so rule of thumb would apply: for max battery life, do not overcharge it and let the battery nearly die (I expect you'll get a battery-low warning--it announces everything else) before you charge it again. [Ah! We boys and our toys! Nothing lifts one's spirits like a new piece of tech!]
Fil, if we were ever gonna get a ' Fil like a kid in a candy store ' this video was definitely it. You seem so excited, its contagious. Great looking & sounding product & as always great video
That’s a pretty rad guitar. So cool to have a built in looper / recorder. It reminds me of something from the original Star Trek series. Now there needs to be a Wings of Pegasus signature model with the Pegasus logo on the back and picks signed by Fil. I would want mine with a belly cut on the body sections to match my physique.
What, a video of Fil geeking out on a guitar? I've seen several other guitarists talk about equipment and I don't watch, but this was fascinating. Very well explained. Does it come in Sunburst?
This is a brilliant machine. I was looking at a Yamaha "silent guitar"--very similar concept. Of course I wanted one instantly. Seeing the price tag put that notion on the "maybe-someday-you'll- win- the- lottery, dare to dream" wish list! Cool stuff! Great demo. Thank you, Fil!
That is amazing! I can see a musician traveling with this, leaving all the other things at home... especially if traveling light! Again, this is amazing. Never seen anything like it! Now! You'll have to get used to it! 😉 Thanks Fil!🌷
Boy! I thought that maybe you were building this guitar up too much, at the beginning of this video......But, ya! Not just compact, but all the features of a Swiss army knife, and it sounds that great! That is impressive! Another great video!
Great presentation Fil, and a bit of humor with it. I don't play, but you and that guitar make me wish I did. However, I will still just remain an expert listener.
Wish that some companies such as Fender, Gibson, etc. would include modern features on their such as some offered by Mogabi. Bluetooth, internal recording, usb ports would be useful.
What a great innovation, and you did a bostin job on the review. I'm sure many guitarists will benefit from this guitar, and your video. Well done! It does look as if you clipped on the extensions in the opposite slots, though. They must be interchangeable!
I think one big letdown is the speaker sticking out of the end like a big beavers tail. It's a cool guitar apart from that one thing in my opinion. It's going to be awkward sitting on a bus trying to play that or in a two man tent etc. I think something like a hofner shorty (German made) and a katana mini amp are a lot more easy to play on the move, like sitting in the back seat of a car, on a bus, on a park bench etc. Maybe they need to redesign the Mogabi? And the name Mogabi, it's too similar to Mugabi like that lovely man Robert Mugabi lol
Have you ever done a vocal analysis of Barbara Streisand? I was listening to “The Love Inside” on my way home from work, outstanding vocals, and would love to see an analysis of her stunning singing. Love your videos Fil.
I got a Taylor a while ago and while it is great to play, the action is way high. The nut's good, the neck is good, but it needs about a millimeter taken of the bridge piece to get close to the recommended level. I suppose even 'good' guitars are in a way, mass produced and made to err on the side of clean sound. It is interesting to hear about the attention to detail on that one.
I play keyboard and I am wondering Fil how I could connect my keyboard and this guitar? Maybe I could play a mixture that would be able to create music simultaneously. Hopefully I am not thinking too far out of the box for a sixty three year old LOL.... What a clean sounding guitar; I love it! Well done!!
Looks pretty cool, i have a Yamaha Silent Guitar and i love it! I think you have the body panels upside down, the shorter one with the section that sticks out which you have on the top is meant to rest on your leg.
For my playing it felt more comfortable, as I did try 'standard'! Maybe due to me coming from electric having less 'body' felt better, but it shows it works either way! 😄👍🏻
Thought this video was a credible product endorsement. Good explainer of how, personally, this smart guitar fits the purposes/lifestyle of an indie guitarist.
You did a great job demonstrating the guitar. I appreciate that you made a product review video, no need to explain why you did. It's obvious your mind gravitated to the many possible situations a person could use the guitar in and shared with us. You're a good man. I hope your channel continues to grow.

Yes Fil is a superb guitar player .
Wow Fil! I'm not a musician but even I can understand why you wanted to do this video.👏 How sweet it is. So enlightening. ☺️
What an ingenious instrument! I seem to remember a frame only guitar years ago but it wasn’t anything like this! A real game changer! Of course Fil makes it sound even better!👏🏻👏🏻

A really impressive guitar! Sounds great too! Fil, you are so good at presenting info like this and demonstrating. Thanks!
This makes me want to learn to play the guitar! Great presentation ... you are a natural born teacher. Thank you so much Fil. God bless you.
Please! Don't want. DO.
You will forever love your decision to play❤
Thanks for the product review. I’m not a musician, but I am a “techie”, so any innovation in our wonderful world of computing and communication is great to see. Kudos to the inventors and to you for sharing.

I love the look of that guitar and the sound is amazing. Good luck to you Fil, your future is looking more than a bit promising...
Can you please do a 6 hour long video where you play this guitar for those 6 hours so we can see if it really last that long? Thank you! 😁

DITTO!
I really like the record function on this and the addition of the reverb is smart. This could be a great travel instrument.
Very nice. I'm sure it will be a great help to musicians. Thanks for the demo.
Fil please consider releasing the instrumental you created on this post!! Love the detail of the pop ins to simulate a guitar body.
LOVE that guitar!!! It gives off an Emerson, Lake and Palmer vibe/tones. And yes I realize it was the tunes you chose to demonstrate it's capabilities.
I’m not a musician at all and play no instruments (except the radio), yet I was compelled to watch this video to the very end!
Hi!
That guitar is so cool. It's got great sound, great looks and lots of useful features. It feels weightless. What a treat!!
Thanks, Fil. Keep having fun with it 🖤
I travel a lot with work and would love a practical travel guitar - I’ve tried a few. Really expands the concept of what a guitar is. Great video.
Whoa!!! Amazing, I have never seen a guitar like that!
Thanks Soo much Fil!! This will make a nice gift for my family. All The Best Too You and what You are doing to help us all!!
Hi Fil,
This guitar is amazing! Great video thanks. I’ve ordered one. I love that it makes a full size guitar where so much of the competition are just too much of a compromise.
You are so extremely talented, yet so very humble. God bless you!
I was a little let down that you didn't record this video while skydiving so that we could really get a sense of the guitar's incredible functionality! 😁Seriously, This Mogabi guitar is really cool! I like the way you think lol.
Aside from the guitar your improvisation is soulful and sounded great
I am so glad that you made this presentation!!!
Thank you Fil. I also can’t deal with instructions and my dyslexia doesn’t help. You’re a guru and my favorite.
I am so glad you did this video!! I saw you with it in another video and went and searched your videos hoping to get a view to see what kind it was. So, thank you for doing the video with so much info.
Innovative!!!👍🤗😁🌟Thank you, FIL!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hey!! Now you can do your Fil jam to your own backing tracks.
Amazing, it very much reminds me of my Yamaha Silent Guitar(TM). But looking at the Silent Guitar, I wonder if you might have to swap the outer frames - which then gives it the appearance of a single cut guitar.
This is amazing for someone who is learning or wants to do street performances. So versatile.
Wow! This completely blew my old school tendencies away. Looks like they really thought of everything - and its aesthetics are very cool! You can now set up your own complete Fil-Jam for the end of the live streams. Looks to be a good learning guitar (although a pricey one) since it allows you to hear what you've played. And it even sounds good!🎉

If it could make pizza and bring me cookies then it’s a game changer 🙃

When you started this video, I was skeptical. 10 mins in ... and I'm impressed!
Wow! That really is all singing all dancing! Plus it looks good - no wonder you love it!
Fil that is a pretty nice innovation. Very sweet. I’m going to be researching and considering that. Cheers!
oh oh oh--what a dream to listen to. amazing guitar and playing... thanks Fil
What a cool and fascinating guitar! Great to practice with for traveling musicians, very compact. And as a lefty, love the interchangeable body parts feature!👍

Very interesting. Never seen a guitar like that. Best of all, you can play it which ever way works for you & you are most comfortable with! 👍
Wow, what a cool instrument. It's obvious that the creators put an incredible amount of thought into its design. Thanks for sharing this, Fil!
What, a video of Fil geeking out on a guitar?
I've seen several other guitarists talk about equipment and I don't watch, but this was fascinating. Very well explained.
Does it come in Sunburst?
😂!
That's really one of the coolest things I've seen. Thanks Fil!
Thanks, Fil! Quite an amazing product!!
Wow that's so cool, if I was twenty years younger I would probably try learning guitar. Great video and you covered so much.
Excellent demonstration Fil. It has a great sound.
Quite possibly the future of guitars.
I see it's made in Korea, so the quality will be fairly high.
Fascinating what people come up. Well done Fil !
That is amazing! I can see a musician traveling with this, leaving all the other things at home... especially if traveling light! Again, this is amazing.
Never seen anything like it!
Now! You'll have to get used to it! 😉
Thanks Fil!🌷
Very cool, damn, the tech is working well in this case, lots of versatility. Interesting to say the least.
That is really a game changer thanks for the demo Phil it may be a small company so I hope its a big seller
Boy! I thought that maybe you were building this guitar up too much, at the beginning of this video......But, ya! Not just compact, but all the features of a Swiss army knife, and it sounds that great! That is impressive! Another great video!
Absolutely fantastic Fil! Wow very cool! 🙏
What an amazing instrument! I love all the recording possibilities.
That is a really cool guitar Fil! Thanks for the demonstration. 😊🎸🎵
Great presentation Fil, and a bit of humor with it. I don't play, but you and that guitar make me wish I did. However, I will still just remain an expert listener.
Fil_ thoroughly enjoyed this video. Very good demonstration plus your information top notch, Thanks!
Wish that some companies such as Fender, Gibson, etc. would include modern features on their such as some offered by Mogabi. Bluetooth, internal recording, usb ports would be useful.
Thanks, Fil! Great review of a cool guitar!
Brilliant design and I love the looper or recording piece. Price is reasonable as well.
What a great innovation, and you did a bostin job on the review. I'm sure many guitarists will benefit from this guitar, and your video. Well done! It does look as if you clipped on the extensions in the opposite slots, though. They must be interchangeable!
Try Traveler guitars, the extra light. Fits in a suitcase. Used it a couple of years now. I even playb it at home
Great product, great review. Aspiring guitarist inspired. Nice thx brother. 😊
Well done!!
Thank you so much for showing this to us! This is a real game changer!
Eminently practical and versatile and sounds very nice.
Lol I just posted I was selling alot of my collection...a excellent view much appreciated Fil Cheers how cool .😉✌🏼
What a great review of that guitar and your a great player :) the guitar deserves to sell loads because of your test
Thought this video was a credible product endorsement.
Good explainer of how, personally, this smart guitar fits the purposes/lifestyle of an indie guitarist.
I Love Technology!!!!
Leave it to you Fil for giving us a Superb demonstration 🎼🎸
