I had to go back outside and get my Dad to be allowed to rent it when it came out when I was fourteen. We watched it together and just looked at each other and laughed all throughout the movie. It was like a new kind of entertainment had been invented or something.

@@thegrimyeaper yeah i think at 14 is probably a really great experience but at 10 I don't think you're really the audience the filmmakers had in mind when making it.

My dad took the whole family out to see it when I was 11 & my brother 9. He'd actually seen it once before while on the road for work and loved it so much he insisted to bring all of us out to watch. I can vividly remember loving it, though he & my mom insisted we shut our eyes during the sodomy moment. Parents always had faith in us being capable of handling grownup stuff, for instance I can't even recall when it was the first time he played for us the George Carlin 'Seven Words' routine, seems like I've ALWAYS been aware of it, which I'm assuming means I heard it fairly young. I've always loved since discovering QT's own mom was just as trusting in him to handle grownup movies from a young age too.

Who the hell takes their 10 year old to go see Pulp Fiction ? That is beyond fucked up. Might as well take them to the strip club while you are at it. The parenting of some people is just unbelievable. Those same parents would complain a movie influenced their child if they did something illegal. The ratings board is there for a reason.
