neck in these is standard width so it looks like it would be easy enough to bolt on a full size neck

Since the string tension is higher, is it harder to fret for new, uncalloused fingers?

The pickups are normal sized pickups right? I think they are but just wanting to make sure
So lets say i wanna put a seymoyr duncan in one of these, i can straight away without any additional work , right?
Also i see a lot of competitors on the market opt for the "ukulele-like" tuning, meaning the low e is tuned up to an a, why did you choose to go for the whole octave up? Are there significant improvements with the higher tension? What does it bring overall to the playability of the instrument? My concern would be that with a tuning so high it would scratch the surface of becomin unpleasant to the ear
Also what is the total length of the instrument?
Do y’all think you could do a LP - style or a 355-style? It would be so cool mini 🤠
I’m curious as to why this is good for a first time builder. Isn’t it the same thing as a big one just smaller? If anything that would make it harder, wouldn’t it?
I bought and built one of these things. Excellent hardware and wood and neck and everything. Whet together with no problems. However, this short mini guitar is terrible for intonation because its short. Not a problem with StewMac but with all short mini guitars. If you buy one, it will never sound in tune because of this. You can file down the nut to help but the law of physics can not be broken. It was fun to build. I'm thinking of the full size 'Offset tem Electric Guitar' . Never had P90's on a guitar. could be fun
Is it possible to put thicker gauge strings and tune it like a guitalele?
What guage of strings does this mini guitar take? I built one many years ago and have recently taken it out of storage but it needs strings. And is the tuning one whole octave Higher?

what scale is it??? pretty simple question, a strat is 25.5 inch scale so what scale size is this little guitar???
They would probably sell more with a Duosonic (22.5 inch) scale.
Another idea would be for me to put on heavier strings and tune to standard
I love it.. it’s a really good idea, but I Wish the price was lower considering its a kit guitar.. You can buy one completely done gloss lacquer finish for the same 200 or cheaper from ibanez and Fender and many more.
Do you make a 4-string bridge for this?

I want to make a three string cigar box style guitar with this. I know I want to change the neck so it’s a 25 “ scale, like my other cbgs. Anybody done this?

What gauge strings does this take and what's the tuning? It looks crazy
It takes regular strings and is in standard tuning, just up an octave.
The strings break if I tune them up an octave. I've been looking for more advise videos etc. I live this lil tele but the strings are soooo tight when tuned EADGBE
With the 16.3" scale, one octave up would be,*ahem* stretching it a bit. I think it would be more at home tuned ADGCEA or BEADF#B, like a normal guitar capo'd up to the 5th or 7th fret. I've tuned a 19.5" scale guitar to standard EADGBE using heavy .013"-.056" strings successfully, but I don't know if you could get away with that on a 16.3" scale.

Looks more than enough room, cant have a tele shape without being trademarked unfortunately.

I might buy one of these, put a 4 string bridge and nut on it, plug 2 of the tuner holes and ukulelefi this puppy. A strat type 3 pickup electric ukulele for the price of a much lesser flea.

It’s a soprano guitar. A guitar to be tuned ADGCEA up, instead of down like a bari, probably fits in better in a band situation.
Thanks for the tip. I was pulling my hair trying to set this up in E standard, I then tried up a half step in F standard. Once I tuned up to A it fixed my issues.
They should come out with a 7 string version
