This game has been going backwards with every subsequent update since V1.0 when they introduced AI defending because noobs complained it was too hard so now the AI just does it for you and even makes tackles. This is what Konami want, a fully automated experience. Less control not more. I can barely stand playing the coin events online and the POTW events are not even challenging. They killed the best football sim franchise to replace it with this card collecting garbage.
It's the worst version of Efootball ever. Defending is super automated, Dribbling nerfed and heavy, defenders make the tackles and you don't even have to press any button, 99% players play quick counter and PA1 ping pong
The auto defending is so much..I'm going to take a break till it becomes bearable...I play good football and I can't even get opportunities..I play the haram way pes wants us to play and I win by 6...smh
It is all about running and pushing the ball fast forward and backward. Why having so many skills and dribbling, mastering them if you can not use them? It is not awarding. I stopped playing this game six months ago. I don't feel like playing it again. This looks like a full and true mobile game...
The last 2 patches made the game so Booring. Super agressive defending, passing feels worse, you have great plays that get intercepted and score and suffer lousy goals, input delay horrible too, dribbling still good but you have no space/time to do it where it matters. Defenders are super aware and attackers slower and as you said no inertia on defending.
Worst thing is rewarding bad play i.e with auto defending and double press avenues for punishment is not very obvious as earlier due to massive AI intervention

At the end of the day this is still better than Fifa so there’s that. Agree there is much to be fixed however. I think the changes make scoring much harder but isn’t that more realistic? That’s all I got 🤣
Why are you bring up fifa? Nobody is talking about fifa. People are annoyed because this version isn’t as even as good as the worst PES that came out. They killed a 25 year old franchise for this automated card collecting mess. That is why people are annoyed

I play on pass assist 4 and with nerfed dribbling it is very difficult to do much in game. And also almost every game I come across Alonso with pass assist 1 teams, impossible to defend against.
I enjoyed dribbling last versions & I could dribble in most of situations Now I can't make this & this is very disgusting My play style that I enjoy is to make dribbles
