@@lewisthornton3 yeah ima use my time off to just go gym and condition my body better, and the annoying thing is none of them have come from me tackling it’s always been like at the bottom of rucks etc, and i’ve always been avoiding scrum caps given i’m a 15 but i feel it’s in my best interests to do so. thank you for ur advice pal

I wrestled my whole life until I got into rugby so as a wrestler and a rugby forward I can say do neck exercises. It’ll protect you from that. Just be really strong overall. Gl mate

Watching this live I certainly had my opinions on the standard of refereeing. Never seen so many penalties go one way! As a player best not to say anything . Thank goodness for the game saving tackle at the end. Good luck away this Saturday.

Max - the biggest problem with the ref was his lack of secondary signal, not good for Wingers like yourself, didn't notice too much questioning from the forward when he explained. Re the neck roll 08:43, you can't see where the right arm is and the ref is in a good position, shortly after you say 'late shot'ed', no ref giving that as the tackle/block was in process before the kick. Difficult to be objective when you've got skin in the game, if the ref got a decision wrong, I assure you he'll feel far worst than you when he realises it. Bigger question is, if you gave away 20 pens, why wasn't someone working out what the ref wanted from you, looks like he had issues with you at the ruck, elite level captain make sure they have a good constructive dialogue with refs, listen and adjust tactics, they may not agree but they know Pens kill you and moaning don't put points on the board.
