A few notes: One, if you want to roll a warrior, you will be using arms for the first two tiers, and when you get enough gear, switching over to fury. It isn't really until ICC that Fury gets good. TLDR: you will do shit damage and your guild will carry you through most of the content, but at the end of the expansion when you have great gear only a fire mage can do more damage. If you don't already have a group that is cool with this, it will be tough to find a spot, so keep that in mind.
Survival is not "non viable" at any tier, but they will do MUCH less damage than MM when you get to the point where you can start gemming for armor pen (when you have at least 800 from gear alone before gems). It is really only due to armor pen that hunters do decent damage (which still isn't anything to write home about), and since much of survival's damage is in the form of magic damage it can't keep up. However, early on survival will do more damage than MM hunters. The point at which MM takes over is when you can get a ilvl 226 ranged weapon (below this the flat damage values on bows/guns are much lower). So if you want to min max, you will start out as survival. If you have more than one hunter though, having one of them go MM and pick up imp hunter's mark from the start is an overall DPS increase for the raid (at 2 or more hunters this is the case). With all of that said, you really want one or two Hunters in a group; if anyone has an odd chore to deal with during the fight, or needs to kite adds, they do this well... plus they are the only other class besides rogues that brings a threat redirect.
Arcane is not bad at any tier; the highest parses in live during ICC were usually Arcane mages. Plus, keep in mind as mana becomes not as much of an issue, you can funnel innervates into them. The only amount of "skill" is in planning out your mana over the course of a fight. If you end a fight with mana left, you did it wrong... that extra mana could have been more damage. Ideally though, you will want to dump any extra mana when all your CDs are up (and during Heroism/Bloodlust), which tends to be at the start of a fight. So surprisingly the two button spec requires a ton of planning, and you are heavily punished if you don't get it right (so if you go for it and fail, you are worse off than if you didn't bother and just dumped mana at the end). Like the warrior, you will most likely be starting off as Arcane and moving to fire when you have the hit and crit to support the spec; the latter ends up scaling phenomenally with crit. I have seen some people run fire from the start, but that is with very specific gear and ensuring the 25 has the buffs it needs to be decent (so this will not be the case for most people). IMO, don't bother with FFB spec, in between, as losing Focus Magic to chain onto the other mages is too big of a loss, plus it is even less consistent than fire. Do keep in mind until you have an insane amount of gear (and therefore crit) fire will not do as well in a 10 man depending on the buffs you might not have like you would in 25. If this is the case, it can be worth keeping an Arcane off spec for 10s if you find you are doing much less damage.
As for Warlocks, you always want ONE Demo and they are built like a support spec, sacrificing their own damage to provide an insane SP buff from stacking Spirit. It can quickly outpace the SP buff from Ele's totem of Wrath, so if you get the Demo spot over having another Affliction lock, THIS is why and you need to embrace that you are a support class. As for Affliction, they are horribly overpowered for the first two tiers and are solid the whole way through. There are a lot of unintuitive ways to min max your damage (corruption rolling comes to mind) so if you want to play Affliction it is worth doing your homework beforehand to learn all of those intricacies. Corruption rolling alone can make up 30-35% of your damage! Also, there is nuance in the execute phase, and Affliction does the most damage during execute... so worth learning as well.
Ret isn't bad (especially later on) and your guild might have a spot for one in a 25... but you need to understand why that might be. Besides being the only other viable spec that provides the % increase in damage buff to the whole raid (Arcane being the other) you might be expected to have a 2nd ret spec that takes Divine Sacrifice/Divine Guardian to cheese certain fights especially on heroics. Having to use that spec will throw your damage into the toilet and make you cry. If you want to go ret you need to understand 1) you are a support class first, and your utility should be a large focus and 2) there will only be one spot in a 25... so if you don't know how to use things like Aura Mastery or your plethora of CDs they will find someone who will. If you just want to do melee damage and not worry about all of that pick rogue or DK.
Boomies are high value from buffs and you want at least one. Yes, single target isn't the best, but if you play them well you can do really good damage in the first two tiers. A few things... first, you will want to focus on getting at least 30% crit even though haste before soft cap has higher value. If you don't you will never get into an eclipse state (meaning your damage will be shit) and you will run out of mana. As soon as you can move points out of mana talent like Intensity the better.... hell, Insect Swarm isn't even worth the DPS to press the button before 2/2 improved (it does provide a slight debuff that can cause the target to miss). There will be many situations where it is not the right time to use Starfall, and someone who understands this puts you ahead of most Balance players. Seriously, it's more annoying than hunters who can't control their pets.
Shadow is solid the whole way through if you know what you are doing. Like corruption rolling for Affliction (at least on private servers) SW:P can "roll" over crit buffs and % damage increase buffs if it doesn't fall off. Again, high value from buffs and you want at least one. Later on in ICC, you can get to the point where you can take Mind Blast out of your rotation (make sure someone else is providing replenishment or your group doesn't need it). Enhance is not bad, but it is rare to find a good player. The "hot new thing" in private servers is the "Spellhance" build, where you put flametongue on both weapons, use glyph of flametongue, fire nova, and stormstrike, prio changes to magma totem>maelstorm LB/CL>Fire Nova at the top, and use caster trinkets, weapon, neck, (and maybe a piece like wrist) to stack SP. Drinks mana like crazy. Any version is difficult to play but rewarding. Unless you want to run out and take Enhancing Totems there is no buff that someone else can't provide and do more damage.
Poor Ele... ideal comp means there is no spot for you; EVERY buff can be provided by someone else who is more desirable or a superior version. Also, Ele pays the highest for the hybrid tax, meaning besides arms you are the lowest viable damage spec. Unless your guild doesn't have that one Demo you are shit out of luck. Sad days, especially since it is fun to play. Even 10s won't save you, since they will likely have another lock with a Demo off spec for that. For Shaman, the only thing really desired is a single Resto Shaman, but it is possible to get a spot as any spec depending on how hardcore the group is.

This is all from a private server. This is probably the best expansion to play whatever you like. All classes are worth playing. Dont go by anything from the person that died in Die Hard.

Nah. You can do just fine on LK with an Acrane mage. Timing your bursts comes in super handy. Fire is easier due to DOTs, but the instant focus fire from arcane is very handy on valks.
Arc is for sure solid as a burst DPS option for your raid similar to a rogue. Need something dead? Sick the Arc Mage on em. Arc can even pump huge on BQL. The problem becomes that you need to raid support the arcane mage more than another fire. THey need more innervates to really push the threshold of dmg.
@@FrazierHarcrowI have played arcane mage for a long time, and i did LK without a problem. I have never once needed any mana help and i did the max amount of damage i could. The mages that needed those innervates had no idea how to manage their cooldown's, with evocation every 2 minutes and mana gems, it is really hard to need an innervate if you use your cooldown's at the right time.

@@castboundd1941 you can check out Gnimos guide for frost dk on warmane class forum,he elaborates which rotation and build you use depending on gear you have.
Frost dk must be 100% arp (implying u are capped on hit and exp) , only then obliterate does raw dmg and you prioritize it. Also i run 3/3 subversion and 1/3 in Blood Caked Blade,since i find value of Subversion much better in fights where you move a lot and dont continuously dps. Also prep is important if you want max dps,proper timimg of army of the dead and raise ghoul,combined with arp food and pot 1 sec before pull.
In top 3,4,5 dps not a lot of dmg diference exist so every micro thing is of importance,thats diference from any superb dps and good one. Good frost ends DBS with 18k,superb 19,5k you can get 20k if everything allings perfectly (taunka,KM procs,no misses on pestilance in clutch moments,etc)
I did 21.7 with hysteria once,consistently i can do 19k+ speaking about DBS,since its raw dps fight.
So to conclude Frost is easy in top 5 on every fight,and you should study it thouroughly in order to rly maximize dps,and plus its super fun to play when you understand runes completely and how to manage them in fights where you dont just stand and hit.
Frost is great but definitely not S. It provides no additional buffs other than blood tank. And its DPS cant touch warrior/feral/rogue/mage

The whole tierlist summarized in two sentences: "I played this spec and other people play it well, SS.", "I only tried this spec for 5 minutes and other people said it's weak, non-viable".
Everything in between is just a mix of those two sentences. Biased as it can get.

Very accurate list! And it really pains me to see Elemental shaman on C but it's so true, I have a boomie and an ele shammy on warmane, they have the same level of gear but my boomie easily does 3k dps more.
Especially on private servers, they should have a passive % damage increase per buff that someone else is providing. They pay the most for the hybrid tax, and EVERYTHING they provide can be covered by someone else (if not a superior version) and is more desirable. It's a shame since they are fun to play and lackluster in PvP... so no real niche for them in Wrath. =(
Elemental is strong early expansion though.
@@shaerigir88 , true, but eventually they end up doing just slightly more damage than a blood DPS spec for comparison, and about 2K more DPS than Arms. If there is practically any buff they are needed for (like SP or haste totem) then they are more than worth it. If not, you might struggle to find a spot depending on how hardcore the guild is.

the good thing about wotlk is IMO, you can make every dps spec work and even outclass other dps players with higher tier classes, if you play better. surely at high end gameplay, numbers will decide who's better, but for middle class raid groups and pugs or random dungeons, you can do what you want and thats why wotlk is the best time to play wow!
During ulduar i pumped on my assa rogue back in WotLK, when i got 2 swords from the dragon boss in ulduar i decided to give combat a swing. It was horrible ;p so i stuck to assa the rest of the expansion. I was allways at the top of the hill dmg dealer 👍 looking forward to WotLK classic, i am going to take up my daggers once more and re-live those glorious days 😉

@@marvin1v929 is that so..... You still need to keep up SnD, and preferably rupture, and garrote when it is the most beneficial. Multidotting is important when there are more targets. You are also punished more for not being behind the target. I would say it is a preference thing, and the reason I did so poorly back in WotLK with the combat specc was my lack of experience with the specc. Over all though, assa is through most of wows expansions the best single target, and combat (outlaw) is the AoE specc.

The list is more or less fine, but I'd like to step in and share my personal experience playing on warmane for 3 years.
Ranking assassination in same tier as feral, affliction and hunter, is very foolish, as they never do nearly as much damage end game. Assa is Tier A at best.
Frost DK does way more damage than unholy or shadow priest single target, and if player properly can still do a lot of cleave with howling blast (seen them top valk dmg on LOD), so it definitely deserves tier A or higher.
A good feral will always race warriors and mages for top dmg on single target bosses, and can easily be top 5 on LOD. I've played with few good ferals and they are really amazing to watch. Should be same tier as combat rogue.
Although survival is low compared to the top classes, it can still shine on few fights with their trap damage. Definitely higher than ele shaman or destro warlock. I'd say at least C tier.
I can agree on the Frost dk which was my main for years in wotlk. It has very consistant dps and very decent aoe. It can out dps most classes with the same gear lvl. Definitely deserves higher.

Frost and unholy are similar, they depend on the encounter. Frost is better single target, unholy on AOE fights.
Also frost is top tier in naxx and Ulduar patches.

I disagree with blood dk. Blood dk can do amazing damage on single target and two target cleave fights. On heroic icc + shadowmourne gear level you can compete on fights like saurfang with equally geared fury warriors. You just spam 20k heart strikes and 30k death strikes, the only downside is that your deathcoil does comparatively no damage so your runic power dump moments are kind of underwhelming, but doing over 22k dps on fights like that is definitely possible.

Icc is primarily ST anyways so all the aoe classes are pretty wasted unless you're speed running. If your raid has buffs covered and you have the gear, play blood dps and make your mages cry. Death coil is a wet noodle and you only have a few globals free in the rotation anyways. Use it for running between targets or while you're waiting for runes, otherwise you can ignore your RP bar.
Tbh frost dk from naxx patch till toc and unholy dk togc->icc are SS tier. I always topped dps if you know how to utilize the class. Good video

Frost DK would never be S tier. The only S tier is Fury warrior, Feral DPS and Fire mage and maybe Ret pala while everyone is gearing.
Everything else is pretty far below them. Frost DK is much lower than them too.
I want you to really grasp how delusional you are. Not only are you worse than Unholy, you are also worse than Blood DK DPS.
As a Frost DK you are middle of the pack if you look at statistics. That's with 90'th percentile, 95'th percentile and you're even worse at 99'th percentile. Frost DK is the worst spec for DPS for your class. Whether you can beat an Unholy with Shadowmourne is pure speculation considering no sane person would ever give a frost DK one in the first place.

Enha is bit underrated here. I know that many players can't play it and can't do viable dps. I didn't see ever other viable enha sham, but telling the truth I am the one or one of them who can play it. I don't know why other ppl can't, maybe because it haven't got a rotation. It only have a prio list, and nearly anytime u have to choose, if your decisions good, it will revarding you, if not: it won't. Looks like an Affli lock, what was my other favorite. If u are not understand it, it will be shit. If u pay attention nearly on anything what you have to (rolling corr, multidot, procs, pretrinket, etc) it will revarding u with a fcking high dps.
Enha has it's limit, can't be an SS, maybe can't be S, but it's definately an A.
Quick reminder for everyone this list is for the last patch with icc+RS gear! Don't expect to do 22k dps was fury in first phase of any wotlk u will be lucky to be invited for a naxx.
As an enha only player for 1+ years in warmane, having kinda mastered it, I've managed to hit top DPS in many fights with other specs w similar GS

totally disagree on enha shaman. There's channel named Sharpshady WoTLK on yt. Dude doing the same dps if not better than 6.2 fury warriors in some pugs. This specc is hard to play but definetly higher than in your bracket. No offence but maybe you 're not playing it right yet. It's hard to master. in your video this shaman is using daggers and all....
You are using a bad example, who cares about pugs, ppl with wallet gear, clueless about their specs. U can top pugs as bm hunter. On the other hand yes, enha is viable but there are very few ppl who play it properly.

Show us icc hc with actually good players of same gear :). Based on his buffs i see he got havoc/Gunship 10 axe and a moged fist, prolly bpc 25 seducer, based on him using rage on pull means he got t10 4set. So at least most of his gear is icc and what those ppl in toc nm pug have/their skill level is unknown. His rotation is decent but there is room for improvement. Kinda using unecessary LLs and early ES which isnt great use of gcds. As shaman in general u gotta play better around totems, its a raid buff not your personals. Cheers :)

@@Papashady88 Couldnt see his enha spec since he had ele/resto. Now i do and its scuffed, prolly os for fun here and there, but stuff like missing hit to support that amount of crit, gemming ap+haste before reaching haste cap arent good signs.
I like MM Hunter, the whole meme of Huntard made me feel it was a joke class but realizing how beneficial it is in Toc and ICC makes me glad I picked that class, I feel important when I have a specific job in a raid fight just like a Healer or tank. Only worry is making sure I don't fuck up lol.
Nice video. I agree with most of your list, except on ranking of BM hunts and arcane mages, because these 2 clases are same as assassination rogue, you wont see a really good player of that spec very often, but when you see them, they are at least top 3 in skada.
And they have the same great utility as the other specs of the same classes, which is always a plus.
If those are top 3 the others are trash

i did like the video over all but i cant aggre with the list . first of all feral cat is the best dps in the game ( if you know how to play it ) also affly / bomie can be top also in a hands of a skilled player and i have to mention also demo lock u can easy top dps with a demo just by playing with your soulfire proc exemple marrow spike or lk ghouls . about frost mage and ele shaman dont like them in raids but seen skilled people play them for fun and you whoud be surprised like me seeing them in top dps. elemental shaman is a rly hard class to play its not just about spaming your lighting bolt like 90% of people who play ele .

With T7 a good player behind Enh Sham can np top the DPS charts, especially with its "Spellhance" spec. However, they don't scale so well as the expansion progresses.
EDIT: Also, regarding shadow priests and seeing you play on Warmane, if you'll see Afterlight's (Best PvE guild on Icecrown realm, horde) LoD/RS25HC streams, you can see them priests top the DPS charts.

Until ICC enhance is amazing but you need to be really good. I have a buddy that plays it and he's pretty much the only one that's enhance on logs for best guilds.

You have to have a brain to be enhance. And it's all I play. It took me awhile to finally figure it out. But I went to the best enhancement shamans in Game. And I shut the fuck up. Took out my notepad, and went to school.

Hello, I really enjoy playing affliction lock, but my friends say it is too weak. A tier is also included in your list, what should I do?

Aff lock is one of the best for pure dps after 6k+ gs
as someone who plays assass rogue, i can confirm it is a fun, decent spec to play, at 5.2k gs I was out dpsing 5.8k combat rogues, and hitting 12k single in VOA 25 at the time i was just stacking Attack power and had almost 500 hit rating from gear with 49% crit rating, rogues name is Assplay
Same man, I remember topping the dps meter with my assa rogue in a group that had combat rogues with much much better gear, also the spec is so much fun. Imo combat might only be better with late bis gear.

Dk is good at aoe as i rember, which in raiding you dont use much but i havent been on wotlk for few years now hope they didnt delete my acc cuz i might come back soon
@@ddgdigz7668 On single fights Frost DKs are very good if you know how to play it. ToGC is the unholy dream. The only ones who can beat them on damage are fire mages. I never see a ret in top spots.

I played Fury and Ret mainly during wrath and that’s the most fun I ever had playing WoW.
They were pretty simple but sometimes simple is best.
I actually top dps meters with my blood dps(FULL BiS), could the feral do more if I gave him the hysteria? Yes. Could the Fury do more dps with my hysteria? Yes. Do I care? No. If boss dies, the job is done. Blood dps with own hysteria pulls ez dps. Do I deal more dps on my unholy spec? I used to when I had str gems, however currently I have arp build and I ain't going back. 35k Deathstrikes are far too fun.
Edit: ye after seeing retri S and blood C (blood does more dps wtf are you smoking fam, you said you only look at dps not at utility) I know this list is a troll, that or you have never seen a good blood dps. Also enha C? Might not be best class, but I have one in my LoD group that pulls quite an insane amount of dps for how much trash shaman dps gets.

I think you took this list a bit too literal as he was trying to deliberate himself from.
I for one interpreted the tier list based on general surface information, and not going to into every length of every corner of every spec. Therefore your beloved blood arp build(FULL BiS) might not have been considered in the video. Regarding the enha spec, he said he gave it a C based off it being a high skillcap that requires alot of dedication. He never disclosed enha being able to pull as mentioned, insane amount of dps

the list is accurate only thing id put survival hunter a rank or 2 higher, I dont personaly play it but I've seen surival hunter topping useful dmg on lich king on lod. Thats atleast on horde idk about ally tho :)

You said a lot of true information but you also said a lot of untrue information. In wotlk all classes are viable at a certain point. Wotlk is the expansion that makes all classes almost equal. Of course the difference depends on how much you invest in the class to you bring it to the highest level.
Part of the issue with arms might be that you're using your fury gear. Arms optimally will swap out quite a few pieces from the fury set (like the legs and hands). Your gemming will also be quite different.
You also _should_ be able to fit in whirlwinds if you time them properly while specd for tactical mastery. Arms is mostly timing.
I'm not trying to make it sound like arms does as much dps as fury, but it should only be a few thousand behind an equivalently geared fury warrior _at most_ . Your dps should not be half of a fury warriors.

Combat is very good, but not as good as fury and fire, he should be S tier. Also frost Dk should be at least an A, other than that I completely agree

So your saying that if I am playing an enhance shaman currently in tbc classic I should consider switching to frost dk because they provide the same buffs and give more damage.
There is one situation where you can land an enhance slot: running two 10s from your 25 and they want Bloodlust for the 2nd group. Hard to find a good enhance, but they do REALLY well until the last tier where Armor Pen melee specs pull way ahead. If you are good you can find a spot depending on the guild.
@@naejimba Oh for sure, I know almost any good player playing his class well is more important than the class/spec priority, thats why I'm considering switching because I consider myself a shitty enhance shaman as it is XD.
I'm too lazy to totem twist between windfury and agi if the fight has too many other things going on or its just trash, I'm too lazy to sync my weapons manually, sometimes I forget that a fight has a fear and don't drop a tremor totem etc.
Thats why I'm kinda considering dk because it seems like it would be an easier class to find a raid spot for a player like me, but idk maybe i'm wrong.
@@dwarfminerwillie , overly convoluted mechanics like totem twisting and weapon syncing don't exist in Wrath. Instead, you have a few new abilities to track that are part of your rotation. It is GCD locked and complex (but with time you get the hang of it)... here is what the standard (aka not spellhance) single target looks like:
1. Lightning bolt at 5 Maelstrom stacks
2. Refresh Lightning Shield when it falls off
3. Feral Spirit (If you can time it right before Bloodlust/Heroism it is a DPS increase)
4. Shamanistic Rage (with tier 10 set bonus, if not ignore and use for mana regen as needed)
5. Stormstrike if no charges left on target
6. Fire elemental (if fight will last at least 1 min; try to time right before Bloodlust/Heroism)
7. Refresh Magma Totem if expired (if Fire Elemental not available, or shorter fight)
8. Flame Shock if it has fallen off (never refresh early)
9. Earth Shock if off CD and above are not available
10. Stormstrike off CD and < 5 Maelstrom stacks
11. Lava Lash on CD
12. Fire Nova
13. Refresh Magma totem if it will expire before you get a free GCD (this varies and takes time to feel out when to refresh)
14. Refresh Lightning Shield if less than 2 stacks, or other totems will not need to be refreshed
15. Totem Refresh to save that GCD (if fight will last longer than 5 min)
Depending on how many targets are up, your priority will change dynamically and takes quick reaction. There are procs you have to respond to as well. You would still have Tremor Totem, but all of the complexity changes to your base rotation.
As for DK, they are easier and do good damage the whole way through. As opposed to a priority system like Enhance, it has a set "rotation." The downside of this is mistakes are punished pretty heavily (especially frost that does huge single target damage) and it will take a while for you to line runes back up, so fairly easy unless you mess up. One of the more difficult things is figuring out exactly what to do after you messed up to get back to the set rotation while losing the least damage. Unholy is less punishing with mistakes, but does less single target and shines in AoE fights. Like any spec that focuses on dots, there is a lot of subtle min maxing (like spreading diseases when your trinket procc'd etc.). Either one is a good choice and much easier than Enhance if that is your concern.
Rogue is probably the easiest of all three, but like how you have to learn the ins and outs of runes for DK the same is true for energy. Unlike the other two you are not GCD locked, instead waiting for the right moment to use abilities, typically depending on whether or not you are about to cap on energy or a buff/debuff will fall off. While both Assassination and Combat's rotation is much easier, part of the tricky bits of playing a rogue is understanding all of your defensive options and which boss mechanics each one will work on in order to survive. An inexperienced Rogue that doesn't know the fight and their defensives can die a lot. Assassination is by far the easiest melee spec (it is the Arcane mage of melee) and does more damage at the start; once you get slice and dice rolling you mostly press two buttons for your damage. Combat is a bit trickier, but not by much. Also, you will be switching Combat builds at different points that changes how the spec plays. Much like Arms changes to Fury or Arcane to Fire for mages you will eventually switch over to Combat. Target switching isn't the best for the spec, and dumping Combo points on an Eviserate right before a target dies means you are wasting as little damage as possible. Rogues are like a Hunter in that the difficulty in playing them doesn't lie in the rotation itself, but understanding and properly utilizing all of your other abilities. If played well, they do good damage throughout the expansion.
I hope that helps you narrow down what you want to play! Oh! and you can always do an instant 80 on a private server (Warmane's Blackrock is a good example where you can get gear and port to training dummies) to try out all the options beforehand to make sure you are happy with what you choose. This will make sure you are ready to roll on day one.
I assume you didn’t even play until WoD came out. Survival is not a melee spec.
During Wotlk classic I was the highest dps on the server playing a destro warlock...Of course this is probably before people really figured out how to min/max characters

i play survival hunter and i out dps MM hunters and fury warriors with same GS as my hunter i know MM out dps survival but learn survival you will see the DPS out put is not bad

survival hunter is not melee and until very late wotlk where you can get 100% armor pen on mm it easily out dpses other hunter specs. this tier list: non viable

Bro, the reason why frost mage in pve is so low is because no one builds it right. Focus on haste and u will get near to 1 sec frostbolt, hitting 15k+, i have even seen a 150k deep freeze hit here in youtube. Now is obvious that fire makes more damage but is not that heavily superior to a right builded frost and you are wrong at saying that u dont have other responsability that just do damage as fire. You gotta be veery careful on ur positioning because u dont have ice barrier and u only have 1 shot of ice block. Use mana shield and u can end up without mana in mid fight.
The cool thing about frost mage is that is constant, safer and easier to get it right. I just found it more comfortable to play. Fire mage u have to have annoying addons that are a pain in the ass to set them, u have to be focus and to do a decent aoe u have to click or tab like crazy all mobs. Not counting that it is very possible to take aggro from the tank if u rush ur damage.
Plus, you are testing frost mage in a dummy and take in consideration that u cant damage a dummy with deep freeze wich is the biggest damage.
Dang, does dps really go from 1600-2400 at the end of tbc to 15-21k at the end of wrath? pretty huge jump between one xpac
Main instance ICC gives +30% dps. So real avg dps is 10+

In real wotlk back in the day assassination rogues were often dominating DPS in ICC.
everything you said about all the dk classes was wrong. blood dk at end game bis with full arp cap pulls amazing dps, and good UH dks dont use Pest to refresh diseases as thats a waste of a glyph
I played wotlk for yeaaars on retail and on privates(Lordaeron) aswell.
The only SS classes for me are:
Fire Mage (TTW not FF)(strongest and the most stable dps on WOTLK on singletarget and aoe fights)
Affliction Warlock (but only if you dont have icc buff and the fight is long enough to stay in the execute phase which starts at 35% and 25% accordingly for aff.)
This two classes are head and shoulders above every other raid specs in PvE if we are talking about equal skill of the players.
Fire mage is by far the strongest spec dpswise in the raid on Wotlk.
giving a Ret S is just laughable. Solid S tiers are only Fury warrior, Combat rogue everything else is A tier and lower cause they just dont do as much dmg as these specs.

yea affli is a monster when it comes to HARD fights for your guild/raid, its a carry spec, the longer it is the stronger affli gets, the harder it is to stay on the boss and freecast/melee the more affli gets ahead and unlike mage they have insane passive self healing/sustain and shadow ward. its the strongest progress dps and strongest execute dps with no doubt.
@@MrFree-vj8qj if the tier list is based on without ICC aura, then aff is the SOLE SS TIER and even demo should be at least S TIER. The longer the fight, the better the execute classes are. Warrior and Hunters are fine but compared to Demo and Aff, they are A tier at best. Mark my words and check upcoming logs of WOTLK classic and come back here after it ;)

Blood sub frost bis tank spec. Bring unholy dks and blood sub frost tank and you are set on dks. Your blood dk will do great dmg, provide the frost buffs and tank amazingly. If you don’t know this you don’t know dks and really shouldn’t be commenting on them. Early phases of wrath most go deep blood and bring a frost and unholy then swap around for optimizing as gear gets better.
This is based on like ICC farm geared classes right?
I mean it’s been a while since wotlk but I maimed a surv Hunter untill trail came out and it was a ranged spec I don’t know were your pulling the mdps from cause it only changed in legion
I made a mistake there, they're pretty solid in the first few patches but they fall off when you reach 100% arp

Blood DK is probably the best dps with burst in random LFG dungeons and short fights. 20+ dps in a small party raid? No problem.
Also I dont agree Combat is SS. Insane burst but pretty average at most bosses.
