That definitely was a fantastic time. We had the best group for this adventure. Thank you for coming up with the idea. I am so glad i made it work this time around. More great memories to last a life time.
So glad it was a nice day for this awesome adventure ... Loved everything about it . The "Little Red Caboose ", The "Blue Beauty" , the gorgeous views , the horn , the drone snippets and even the music you chose .( Great seeing some of the gang.)...thank you for sharing the fun : }
How cool was that!!!!! Omg! Getting to ride a train is something I have never done in my 55 yrs and I have it on my bucket list...I would just be happy with a speeder car on the tracks...lol. I have been in love with trains all my life and used to dream of living on a caboose 😁😁😁😁😁
What a great experience. Looks like a wonderful time. I'm glad that it went well this time around. Drone footage was spectacular, looked like viewing a model train layout. Thanks for bringing me along Jay 👊👍
Fantastic! What an awesome experience for you guys and you all had a fun time and even though you had to wait, it was definitely well worth the wait for sure! The blue beauty is so gorgeous! Great video JP and your photos are amazing! Thanks so much!
I have been on a rail fan ride behind the 425 that was a great weekend. Glad that you got to ride the caboose,I remember your video when they double booked , enjoy your ride.
When my grand-dad used to take me to the local train depot to watch the trains, I got the most excited when the caboose came! I guess cause it was RED! I was maybe 4-5.
Lovely. I live 15 miles away, but have yet to enjoy the ride. Those old passenger cars truly represent the most interesting era of rail passenger service.
I lived along the BNSF tracks when I was growing up in Illinois and will never forget the first time in the early 60s that I went to use the bathroom on a commuter train headed into Chicago and there was only a hole beneath the toilet seat that was open to the tracks and a sign that said "do not use while the train is in the station".
Wow that drone shot while you guys were in the riding caboose was so cool. Who ever was operating the drone must be very confident in their skills because if your on a moving train and you can't just stop it if you need to get the drone for whatever reason...that would have made me so nervous that I can't get the drone back to me. lol
Absolutely beautiful looking view thanks for taking me along with you .....on this venture I really enjoy this video thank u jp video for doing this for us that can't go on adventures like this....
We took a train from Tamaqua to Jim Thorpe. Then up to White Haven and back to Jim Thorpe. When we were returning to Tamaqua, we stopped on a siding right outside of Jim thorpe. A freight train stopped next to us, waiting for the steam engine to leave Jim Thorpe and head north. The 2 locomotives and the steam engine did a serenade with the horns! It was fantastic!
Jay, I had fun on this caboose ride with you and the others!!! Looks like y'all had a great time!!! Wish I coulda been there in person but I sure thank you for taking me along, Jay!!! Got to see a caboose and the blue beauty 💙💙💙 What an awesome vid!!! Amazing drone footage and photo montage!!! Thank you so much for sharing, Jay!!! God bless you, take care and stay safe!!!
Hi Jay, finally you get your caboose ride yay. A very cool up close and personal look at the coupling/un-coupling of the engine and of course the journey there and back, very awesome. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
16:18 OW! Yes that can actually happen. If the air hoses are connected improperly, you can get a nasty whack on the shin when the air is opened up and those lines separate.
Absolutely Amazing!! Enjoyed every moment. Could just imagine riding along with you guys. So much fun & I know it was a totally great experience for you. Worth the wait!! Thanks Jay for taking us on so many cool adventures🥰
Thanks for the ride JP Totally enjoyed the time in the Caboose in great condition two. I like being at the back of a train and watching we're it's just been and great behind the loco two!!😎🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇬🇧
Watched both your Reading and northern trips, glad you got your caboose ride. Looks like a great time, I will have to do this in the future. As always awesome video
This was FUN! Jim Thorpe is one of my favorite places to go! Check out the Chinese restaurant just down from the hotel , they have some Fantastic food there!!!❤❤❤
Had this playing again while working today, mainly to see what you caught of our friend Bill. You realize if RBMN had not screwed up our first caboose ride appointment, I likely would not have gotten to know Bill that day and become such good friends with him? Crazy how life works sometimes!

I just went to look at how much it'd be for my fam of 5 to ride the caboose by me for a fall trip and it came to 1100 for 2 hours. So, watching your video is the next best thing.
Jason, Did you explore that red abandoned building at around7:00, it looked familiar? I see you mentioned at about17:00 what a great guy Bill is, and that he did have good stories. I wish I could have heard them. Did you know that "Caboose" is of Dutch or German origin, Kabuis meaning "cabin on a ship's deck". The modern "crew cabin on a train" meaning started around 1850 or so although there is some conflict about that. WE still had cabooses on our "Blue Comet" trains passing through Lakewood, N.J. in the late forties and early fifties Cheers, Rik
The building is on rr property and they dont want anyone accessing the tower. Bill was awesome, but we all spoke off camera which was a special moment just for us. Anyone who rides will be lucky to have conductor Bill.
No, it's not a requirement on R&N property to ask for 3 Step. When the engineer hears "good hitch", or anything synonymous, they'll treat that the same as them asking for 3 Step.

The drone footage!!!!!
Was worth sticking around to film the next excursion.

Trains rule!!😁🌹🚂🚂🚃
Wonderful, such beautiful scenery. Thank you for the ride along
What an awesome way to see the country side🤗❤
Thank you once again.
I say this as a railroad conductor, I wish we still used cabooses
I'd love to have a caboose to convert into a tiny house!
We do on our tourist railroad.

You're right. A speeder or a caboose, either way it's fun on 2 rails.
That was real awesome to watch. It looked like a lot of fun glad you all got to enjoy it. It was like a little mini vacation for me.....thank you...
Glad to have you aboard with us.

Super fun! That’s an adventure I’m jealous of. Cabooses are so rare these days. What a great experience.

That was an amazing experience out on the rails! The drone footage looked like you were chasing an N scale locomotive 🚂💨
If only N scale went that fast
N scale can go that fast, the trick is keeping it on the track. 😉🤣
Awesome video. I was on the same train in the open air cars haha. Don't get better then the scenes of the lehigh gorge! Take care!
It's a great ride and location

Glad you finally got too do the caboose ride. Great job 👏 👍
Me too. Thanks Lesa 💙
I couldn't believe you flew the drone from the train. I'd be afraid of loosing contact and it ditching in the trees or river.
Chased the following excursion that day. I'm not that crazy lol
i wanted to swear at you .. but then again , i just hate being stuck in the north when it comes to this . So I sat back and enjoyed your ride.
Wouldn't be the first time someone sweared at me

You're a good host, but I've got to ask you to slow down when you talk.

Those comically sped-up slapstick segments really ruin the vibe.
Far too many selfies.
I recommend booking and riding yourself so you get to see what you wish.
unfortanatley you wont be able to ride it for a few years cause it is on its long restoration and yearly FRA inspection witch is the law on railroads
#425 which I showed at the station is currently operational. #2102 is currently nearing completion of restoration.
