I have so much respect for Spencer. Worked harder than anyone in UA-cam getting Hashtag off the ground and into the pyramid
Spencer went from being a masked fifa player on copa tv to own his own football club
Why your neck so long?

Spencers Out Here Playing Football Manager In Real Life
Why Do You Speak In All Caps
Very grounded and logical plan. A lot to be said for being a community club in the 5th - 7th tier, that’s a fantastic ambition to have. The EFL don’t allow 3G pitches, as Sutton and Harrogate have found out, meaning people from the area can no longer use the stadium as an activity hub when games aren’t on. Can see Hashtag getting into the National League South in the future, but it’s a huge jump up to make it into the National League Premier from there, as the likes of FC United of Manchester experiences when they were NLN. Best of luck to them and would love them to draw Tranmere in the cup 👍
Used to watch Spencer when he was just making fifa, I can remember when Hashtag started. Very pleased to hear how well they are doing and very happy for everyone involved
They won’t. I’d love to see the taggers going up against United and Liverpool but they clearly don’t have the insane budget
obviously not but it is always possible
League 2 would be insane
The fa cup is a big opportunity
You’ve got to start somewhere though. Just because the budget is not there now does not mean it can’t happen.
Obviously if its just Spencer then yea 99.9999% they won't but frankly just making it to the Conference & League 2 with Spencer's budget can already be deemed a success
Spencer is the goat, has always had the most authentic content and always put his best foot forward. Dude deserves nothing but infinite success
2 promotions and they're in FM
One download and they’re in
No reason they couldn’t get promoted to one step below the national league consecutively. They’re nailed on for a promotion this year and have a bigger budget than everyone around them due to sponsorships and following. They’d probably need some outside investment I’d imagine to go much farther than that
imo eventually hashtag might get to the prem, but i like how grassroots they are, in terms on doing their shit slowly step by step (for the men's team btw), it's fun to see the progress that a team is making, and imo it also shows more people how the lower leagues are like
It's almost certainly not going to happen. You have to understand English football system and the amount of investors with a lot of money you need to even get to the championship. It's not impossible but it's less than 1%. Tbh conference league would be a huge success and a deserved one
@@rickynetogoat5769 Yeah I somewhat agree with you, although you also have to remember that the normal rules dont apply to hashtag. As much as it is a football club, its also a business that has a massive fan following. They could 100% make it to the premier league, but, they never will because they will never have a hardcore fan following because they aren't a local club or a club that belongs to a place. They are great for an investment opportunity but not at a massive budget because the returns wouldnt be there. To be in the prem you have to have at least 20,000 fans ready to rock up every weekend to even survive financially, and not much less than that in the championship. And there is no way Hashtag would get 20,000 people buying tickets every week
@@ShanleH lol sorry but you are so wrong it is painful, they do not have a massive following? where are you getting these numbers? 20k for the prem? lol try 35-50k and you will be closer.....and the fact they barely get 50 atm!!! Sadly kids following on youtube are not not followers, they wont be going to games or spending money. They have pretty much hit the celling now!
@@argyledart85 is that not what I said. The fuck you on about 😂. Also 20k is more than enough for the prem in terms of fans who turn up to the prem. half the teams don’t have the stadium capacity for much more lmao
@@argyledart85 it takes time to build a fan base that comes to games weekend week out. The fact that they have such internet success can help them build that in person fan base but it’s not gonna just show up out of nowhere. Plus I would imagine a fair amount of the online fan base don’t even live in England.
Mans doing create a club career in real life 😂💸
Great conversation!
Gotta get past us at Stow first 😉 Can't wait for the upcoming match ♥️
Will they get to the prem realistically and honestly no but league 1 would be an insane goal for them
You can dream look at Salford stuck in league two spending millions
this comment makes no sense, how can u even say that???
Buddy won’t even make Conference Premier
@@TheRealFLicKz-BrockIrving you don't know English football then mate. You need a crazy amount of rich investors to even get to the championship now imagine the prem. It's not impossible but saying its even in the realm of likeliness is not realistic. League 1 is even a little too far and you have to keep in mind that they have to eventually turn pro to get into league 2 and that's a hastle with Spencers budget
@@rickynetogoat5769 Budgets don't remain the same forever *mate*
Tbh I actually do believe they will make it to the prem
Spen seems very smart and it has been proven you dont need a super rich owner to be successful. A stadium will definitely help ESPECIALLY because the amount of revenue and interest Hashtag generate compared to clubs around them. Whilst they have to pay more employees, I do believe they would still be making quite a lot more then the clubs around them. I just think people underestimate Hashtags pulling power in terms of players. Almost any youth player that wants to drop down the leagues will want to join hashtag over clubs near them or near abouts, because the amount of eyeballs hashtag gives players and it allows players to shine to a huge audience. As soon as players join hashtag, there followers go up and people become more interested in them. IMO Spencer is creating an effective self sustaining model and doesnt really need to be too rich because of the draw the club has in terms of recruitment and also in terms of higher quality staff joining. It obviously does help that Spen has a decent amount of money as well, like lets not kid ourselves he is still a multi millionaire and therefore the club will always be financially stable. Idk I see hashtag being in league 2 within 10 years tbh, they just have such a good model. I cant really see how the club goes wrong
There only 3 promotions away from Leauge 2 could be achieved in less than 10 years to be honest
Spen is not a multi millionaire mate😂
@@homoerectus3355 that's a delusional comment. You have to keep in mind that they still have to turn pro and then from that they need investors to even compete in the top end of conference league/league 2. While yes they have attracted a lot finding investors with sustainable wages over a period of time is very difficult and idk if Spencer wants to give up that much of the club. 10 years is so unrealistic but maybe 15-20. I like to say that the conference league is one of the hardest to get out of apart from the championship because the jumps are immense
They could 100% make it to the premier league, but, they never will because they will never have a hardcore fan following because they aren't a local club or a club that belongs to a place. They are great for an investment opportunity but not at a massive budget because the returns wouldnt be there. I think the highest they could peak is league 1, but i think they will end up settling in the conference or league 2
2 years time Mr Beast buys Hashtag United
If they make it to league 2, with their following someone will definitely invest.
That Twins hat 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Spencer, heres some tips from the trusty fm. Get a affiliate club and get in quality loan players
A someone who's supported Hashtag for 7 years, and even started going to some games this season, I actually _don't_ want them to get to the Premier League.
I'm a Brighton fan first and foremost, and when I started supporting them back in 94, we were bottom of the old 3rd division (League 2), and we weren't really that far off being an actual non-league team. We were poor and our stadium (the Goldstone) was basically a big, glorified shed! When we played at the Withdean, the stadium was so shit (it was literally built out of scaffolding!) that we legitimately _felt_ like a non-league team (albeit, one punching above our weight)! We were tiny, but it was great fun and I felt a strong connection to the club!
However, the closer we got to the Premier League in recent years, the more distant the club started to feel to me. It's great seeing us doing so well, sure, but it's also not the same club I fell in love with all those years ago, and because of the vast amounts of money involved in the Prem, everything feels sanitised, corporate, and MASSIVELY over-priced now. I literally can't afford to go to Brighton games anymore. I've been priced out of my own club!
That's why I fell in love with Hashtag. It was accessible football, with a great story, and it re-ignited my passion for the game. I feel a connection to this club I've not felt in years! My worry though, is that as Hashtag move up the leagues, we'll lose some of that connection us fans have now.
We've already seen some of it to a degree. They can't stream live games as much as they used to because as we start playing bigger teams, they are increasingly not OK with us broadcasting live games. I remember a couple of years ago Walthamstow explicitly _banned_ Hashtag from filming, and they had to cobble together guerrilla footage shot by fans just to make a highlights video.
If Hashtag got up into professional leagues, suddenly they'd likely be bound by pre-existing TV deals for highlights and live games that would be beyond their control. I'd imagine many more teams probably wouldn't be keen on us filming there. We'd probably start getting less 'behind the scenes' stuff and changing room team talk footage too, because opposing teams could use that info to 'figure us out' (that might already be happening now), and when big money is suddenly involved, it makes sense to shut up shop and keep things secret.
I'd be happy if Hashtag stayed non-league. We dream big, sure, but I'd be just as happy staying small!
This so fucking cool. Man’s living the dream and running a football club
they need a big fish to come in with a lot of cash to get to the prem/championship
Exactly all these kids in the comments saying stuff like maybe 10 years is stupid if they got a takeover could realistically get there in 30-50 with more investment
they would need one to get into the national leauge
Yes I think hashtag could reach the premier league any team who doesn’t have a chance of getting into the premier league has a chance if you have the determination to succeed which hashtag has
Love the Minnesota Twins hat!!!!
Incredibly hashteg are top of the league right now, and about 20 games unbeaten
Imagine Hashtag building their own ground at some point
i think they are
Spen wearing a Minnesota Twins hat 👀🙌
hashtag top of their league now what a journey
Maybe in 100 years they might get promoted to the epl
Haha class of ‘92 having Peter Lim financially back it. Rip to them. Valencia has seen its worst results in recent history.
Ever since he took over in 2014 it hasn’t gone all that well and we want him out more than ever.
Hopefully he will do better for that English club than he did for Valencia :/
Short answer: no
Long answer: absolutely not lmfao
dude is playing career mode irl
They won’t. League Two as a absolute miracle best case scenario
people don’t understand the absolute insane level of football that is played in national league south/ north. the players in those leagues are people who are quality players in their academy’s. people don’t realise how hard it will be to get to the football leagues within the next 20-30 years
time for a new fm save
Do not discount the power of social media followings and the opportunities it can lead you into and where those opportunities can take you and the people you can meet.
I mean, nothing's impossible but plenty of things are improbable. It may happen, but who's to say that it'll be in our lifetime?
What team was Theo talking 2:05 not Brighton the other one I couldn’t hear the name
I watch the whole pod and then go on to watch all the clips
they could, but without budget or lucky talents it could take years.. you also have to think about going bankrupt just managing the entire thing.. but shit, its football anything can happen!
Hashtag getting to League 2/Conference within 10 years id say is already a massive overachievement and basically their "Premier League"
First priority should be to get their own ground tho rather than try to outspend to make it up the levels as quickly as possible. UA-cam/Tags Park here we come !!
Agreed the National leauge is the Non-leauge Premier leauge
They could but it would mean selling the club or a majority share of the club being held by a millionaire / billionaire
No chance
I think hashtag will get league 2 in 5 years because it will probably take a season to get used to the national league
Fm mindset😂
Short answer….NO
I don’t think they’ll reach the prem I reckon theyll plateau at like league 2 unless they get some investment
How is this even a question, of course that tinpot club isn't going to make it to the premier League
Man United started out as a boarding school for boys. Anything is possible.
quick answer: no
Cringe name for a semi pro/pro team but i love what spencers doing
Not a chance 😂😂😂😂
is it weird that my mum got married at where hashtag play now 6 years ago
No
comon hashtag united
Not a chance.
I do love the constant jibe football fans make of "oh you realising football's just about the money now". It's been that way for decades, before your dad was even born it was like that, its just an excessive level now and when you were a kid you didn't pay attention to the background side of the sport, that's why it feels like its different when you're older not because it actually has changed other than the quantities spent.
Short answer no this season should show out of depths already
I mean they are setting mid table I think they are quite comfortable not going to lie, like spencer said they just need time to develop before going for a title
@@ShanleH but the issues they will find as they go higher wlli be money they even say they don't pay players alot ect will be hard
@@buggyG12345 oh yeah there is no way they are getting to the premier league you need a hardcore fan base to even get close, I don’t think 15 or 20 thousand people will pay £50+ for a ticket to the game. They are investable but not to the point of being in the championship or prem
@@ShanleH agree 100 percent but can't see Spencer ever wanting to sell any percentage of the club
@@buggyG12345 also true although he is also a smart business man so he could alway sell 49.9% and remain the majority owner in which case he still maintains full control. He definitely wouldn’t give up ownership of the club.

They won’t … clubs have been trying for over 100 years (since it was called 1888 Football League) and are still in the lowest league, and they have investors and sponsors etc.
Ppl saying they won’t lol… they easily can reach the bigger English leagues n etc. They have crazy investors n sponsors already, they have the following, the more they promote themselves in the leagues, the more sponsors will come in… they are already an attractive club for good players due to their following n they will just become it even more the more they achieve throughout the years. Of course it’ll take time until they reach those levels but everything is possible, especially w the foundation they have.

I think its possible but it'll take alot of time for it to happen, possibly in a decade or so
Edit: I mean after getting into efl btw
A decade might be the most unrealistic thing ive ever heard
A decade? Look more at 30-45years
A decade is a delusion. Keep in mind that they still have to turn professional and that's a hastle all in itself without proper investors with big budgets

No one cares about the highest level of women’s football and all they do is complain. Why anyone would support women’s football as this point is beyond me
@@HelloThere-uh3ll because people like u r why they are complaining. the reason they arent at the same level as mens is because they werent trained the same from a young age which favours mens. also when mens football r getting millions a year and womens r getting minimum wage i would complain too
Funny as how these blokes are Spencer's mates they just brush off removing two clubs' histories for Spencer's gain
Removing? The woman’s team was going into liquidation, think you mean saving! Hardly like he’s trying to hide there history

@@jacknelson927 he ain't gonna shag u m8
They will never winn anything with their current manager. Devs OUT!
I rate Spencer a lot, but if Hashtag got to those levels that kids dream about, then it would be just as criminal as Jake and Logan Paul main eventing boxing events. Not right that a bunch of UA-camrs got to play at Wembley with legends, when some of them didn't even want to play, when there's kids who practise every day for years and years, but don't get lucky enough for a scout to see them play. It's not right at all. You shouldn't get to jump in front of the line over the lifelong grafters just because you have an Internet following
Briuh wtf are you on about? Playing with legends is irrelevant to this topic, but they played with them because it was a good show and profitable. And what are you on about jumping to the front of the line? He has built this club up for over 7 years now, and they arent even in the national leagues. He invested his own hard earned money into the club and paid people to scout young talent, like scotty pollock. People like you are so funny. Just hate for the sake of hating xd.
No need for scouts if they can go to the hashtag academy.
There is no real age cap and they can even make the first step and apply for a spot. In that sense I think hashtag united would do the football world a favor and give these people a chance that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
So I get your point and it's a fair point, but I think u are underestimating the positive impact that hashtag could have. Even if it's not the prem.
Why? There’s not really a way to leverage fame for football results, and if they got their the players would be different to who they have now. Those kids who practice every day for years and years would be on the team mate
