So the polished and mixed product is the master recording? This whole time I thought it was the original version that was recorded before the mixing.

They are one in the same. The unmixed version is still version of the master's just unreleased.

Hello. I am a producer singer and song writer from Cameroon west Africa. I have registered some of my work on BMI and it has had airplays in the USA but when viewing my royalty statement, I find nothing to show for. Please can you help?

    Hey Stephanie I have a question 🙋🏻
So if in this instance if I were to sign a Producer’s Agreement.., it wouldn’t matter if I Copyrighted my instrumentals before signing the dreaded agreement??
I ask because I put my beats on Spotify, UA-cam, & SoundExchange I also put it on BMI, Sony Music Publishing & HAAWK for Third party & even the MLC, but haven’t copyrighted just yet..
But If I were to copyright would it matter at all if I sign the producer agreement?

If an artist buys and exclusive beat which has been copyright already. After the artist add vocals to the beat can the artist (purchaser) still file a copyright of the master track?
